"I ordered a projector lamp. It was obviously assembled in it's housing poorly. I could open it and reassemble it myself but I paid close to $200 for this item, they should do a better job. I called and they wanted confirmation pictures before a refund return shipping could be issued. I sent the pictures to the email they gave me with no reply. I called back saying I'd be willing to have them send me a new one instead of just refunding. They told me over the phone that they had the pictures I sent them and that they would immediately send me a return postage email. I did not get it so I sent them an email asking about it. No reply. I waited 3 days with no reply. I decided to void my warranty, open the bulb housing and repair the lamp myself, successfully! I will never order from them again. I suggest you do not either."

"My Sony TV lamp XL-2200 blew and I contacted this company - reviewed the web site and online comments - found 1 negative comment - contacted thru online chat and was advised to call back on Monday. Even if I ordered today, order would not be shipped until Monday. called on Monday and was on hold for approx. 5 minutes, then a representative came on the line - ordered the XL-2200 and was told it would be shipped Today (Monday-06092014) received Email of shipping status late Monday and part arrived on Tuesdays mail - installed product, reassembled TV item worked as good as if not better than the original.
Prices were lower than other sources found online - at one point was over 50 dollars cheaper.
Excellent service - will use again if needed.

"I wish I had read some of the reviews for Discount TV Lamps (DTVL) on here before trying to buy a new lamp for my Samsung DLP. My lamp went out on Friday night, so I called them first thing Saturday morning and was assured by their representative that if I paid $20 more for the overnight shipping that my order would go out that day and I would have it by Monday. Otherwise, it wouldn't go out until Monday and I would probably receive it Tuesday or Wednesday. I decided the up-charge was worth getting it one or two days sooner. However, my "overnight" package DID NOT ship until Monday and arrived on Tuesday ... the same I could have expected for $20 less! When I finally reached a manager (after 4 tries and being on hold for a total of nearly 50 minutes), he was unwilling to accept any responsibility for up-selling me on the shipping and offered no resolution whatsoever to the situation.
If you read some of my other reviews online, you will see that I rarely, if ever, give a negative review. But, these guys have the absolute worst customer service I've dealt with in a long time. If you decide to order from DTVL, I have one thing to say to you: caveat emptor!

"They charged my credit card over a week ago but have not sent anything yet. After I contacted them they suggested they were waiting for payment. I sent them a screenshot of the charge they made on my credit card and only then they said they would forward it to the right department for confirmation. Clearly not a tightly run operation. They seem in no hurry and I'm still waiting for the product and working with the vendor. I feel it should definitely have been shipped by now. At least customer support got back to me and seems to be working with me - at their own pace."
