"I placed an order and they held it for days. They contacted me via email saying they did not have my address. They refused to ship even after I added the address for a second time on their website. I called them, selected customer service option, and Cathy answered the phone. She was extremely rude. She would talk over me while I was speaking. She then put me on hold in the middle of our conversation without warning. I told her she was being rude. Her response, "go ahead and cancel if you want to." Horrible customer service experience. I will never buy from them again."

"I am pretty well satisfied with the purchase from Direct Lighting. I delayed this response until I could unpack and install the products. They made one substitution on my order that I was able to utilize. The biggest issue was with the toggle bolt fasteners for the light tracks. The Chinese cut corners too close on these fasteners; the nuts are so thin, there is barely one thread and they went to minimums on thread material. Consequently, the bolts did not tighten the rails against the ceiling; I had to purchase better quality toggle bolts to complete the installation. Very annoying!
Perhaps Direct Lighting might routinely inspect quality of the components they procure from China against American standards."
"I wasn't sure what i needed, so i called the number provided. When the woman I reached looked in my basket, she saw that i had non-matching tracks and heads. She then took the time to walk me through what i needed and why. the packages came yesterday, as promised, and although i'm waiting for the electrician to open them, i will be very surprised if they're not what i ordered. So for the patience and help on the phone as well as prompt delivery, 5 stars."
