" DO NOT BUY FROM!!!! My husband and I were attracted to this on-line store because of the $150 price difference on a Canon EOS and lens. Totally ask yourself why can they charge you less? They tell you because they are a warehouse, which obviously has a bit of truth to it. However, after reading the other reviews of which more than half received damaged products, you get it!!!! Our story, I called to order are Canon. Man was very nice at first. I told him what I wanted he began processing the order. Immediately he asked for my credit card. I said wait I would like to order some extras to go with it. He replied oh I know, we just need to process this first then we will get to everything you need. I won't bore you with the details, but he then begins to LIE about the battery life of the camera, and why I need an additional $95 battery, (which is really $40 in a store)he did this for two additional items. I then realized something was terribly wrong. Mind you he is talking so fast just saying I'm adding this to your order, etc. I say to him ya know what I changed my mind. I think I need another day or two to think about this. He hangs up!!! I immediately call back and now it was past 7pm and the store is closed. I seriously had a knot in my stomach all night. We called American Express right away to report the circumstances. Next day I called and received the exact same sales guy. I tell him I want to cancel my order. He says sure done. What's done I haven't even given him my name or anything. I demanded a cancelation confirmation number which he would not give me. Kept saying I would receive an e-mail with it. It was not until I told him I had already contacted my credit card company that he finally gave me a number. One hour later I received an email with a different cancelation number. Needless to say the amount is still pending on the credit card which means he truly may have canceled it, since it has not completely gone through, but what a nightmare. I even canceled my card because as I was so leary that this guy had my credit card number even if he did cancel the purchase. I do purchases on-line at least twice if not three times a month. I was aware these companies were out there, but have never, ever come across one. Soooo scary!!! Pay the extra money and find a reputable company on-line or go to a local store in your city. This is just an on-line SCAM!!!!"

"SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. Definitely avoid. This company steeling money. Here are their tricks:

First: they do not show itemized prices in the final invoice and instead show you some KIT price which will be 20-35% high of the web prices on the ordered items. Second, they will charge you UNIQUE "S.H.I.P. Fees". For example, for the SLR camera ground UPS shipping is $347.96. Thread, even if you pass through suffering of they phone services and get RMA on unopened items, they wil charge you RESTOCKING FEES!

"SCAM ARTIST'S - Buyer beware! This "digital megastore" was previously "prophotonation.com" which was investigated and shut down. What is this companies address? Do the sales people sound like idiots and try to up sell you before the product you order goes out? I have no doubt this so called company will also be shut down. They keep reinventing themselves, however create the same scams over and over. Think twice about buying from them and if you go ahead after you read this, don't say you weren't warned."

"After good amount of research, I placed an order for camcorder in Digital Mega store website. I took decision based on Nextag reviews and being considered as "Trusted seller". To my surprise, they haven't even sent me confirmation mail !!! Hope i am not dealing with bait and switch company. From past few day's I have been trying to place an order for camcorder with various vendors. All of them turned out to be bait and switch companies. Will keep updated in next few days.

Update: I called up Digital Megastore to check if my order is still valid as i didn't receive order confirmation mail. Customer service was in hurry but custious enough to confirm the order. Next day i received tracking details. I was still skeptical about the order and product in package. Today i received my order and everything was perfect. THANK YOU Digital Megastore.

"I ordered Denon's new 3311ci Home Theater receiver for a great price. They gave me the total with shipping, and kept the order process short and simple. Last, they gave me an order number. Product came in a week, double boxed; the receiver came in Denon's own box factory sealed, and that box was in another box with additional padding. Receiver was in perfect condition. I would recommend this vendor and order from them again."

"I ordered a number of goods which came to $6500 (Which I had to pay $700 tax as they were going to Canada) a fair amount I wound say. When receiving the goods I noticed that I had not received one 2 of the items. I have been phoning sending emails and all I get is one excuse after another. Two weeks back they told me they would reimbursed me some of the money. After telling me that they do not stock the item anymore (but they sure sold it to me) I told them I needed the item to charge the batteries they sold me. After back and fro with the person I was talking to (he must have been talking to his supervisor) he told me it would be sent out that day. One week went by and I sent them another email asking for the tracking number, they gave an excuse they could not find it but would try. Two weeks on and they do not even answer my emails.
The is the worst company I have ever dealt with on the internet. This kind of company gives buying on the internet a bad name.

"I recently ordered a Pentax K7 and placed my order with Ronald. I'd like to commend Ronald for his low pressure suggestions and prompt follow up. I received a confirmation call after 48 hours and received the merchandise on time and as ordered! The packing was super safe! After experiencing a 6 weeks delaying tactic with "Primo" I am very pleased with Digital MegaStore and will shortly place another order for a Zoom Lens. I also will recommend Ronald and Digital Mega Store to my friends and associates. Hope that everyone will have a similare experience!

"A+ Seller! I had a positive transaction and would recommend Digital Megastore to others.
I purchased a Sony HD camcorder, extra battery and accessories for a exceptional price that easily beat EVERYWHERE else I'd checked. With the exception of the extra battery, ALL items were shipped quickly and everything was exactly as advertised. Regarding the extra battery, they mistakingly shipped me a standard instead of high capacity battery I ordered. So, I contacted Digital Megastore CS and expained the error. Theirs reps acknowledged the error, apologized and provided me with a RMA #. I returned the standard battery and they promptly sent me the "correct" high capacity battery.

"Ordered a Sony camera lens on Monday. Price looked good; regular $569 at most sites; was $514 a Digital Mega Store. Site indicated item was in stock and would ship in 1 to 2 business. By Friday I had heard nothing about item having been shipped; most online dealers send an e-mail confirming shipment. So, I called DMS and after waiting on hold 15 minutes to speak to someone I was told that the sale had to be "Confirmed". I was transferred to another individual and was told that the item had been back ordered and was shipping that day. And by the way do I need any additional items such as filters or any other accessories to go with the lens? I told him no and attempted to firm up a shipping date. This time he tells me another 1 to 2 business days instead of today that he mentioned earlier. So, that means sometime next week since this was Friday. I cancelled the order refusing to play their game. Bottomline, I would not recommend this seller to anyone. They obviously never intended to ship the lens until they had a chance to upgrade the order. I'll just go down and buy the lens for $569. Like most Sony items, this is a proprietary item and Sony keeps strict control over the sell price. So, I should have known something was fishy when MDS was the only seller to offer the lens under $569.

"When you order from an online store that offers an item at a significant lower price than other online stores you should be aware of several thing. One: Prepare to be called to be asked about other items that should be purchased along with the item you are getting. 2. Make sure the item you are ordering is in indeed in-stock. 3. There is a hit and miss with most low cost online stores.
Okay, now. I ordered from a store called Primo Camerasto start and I ended up canceling my order on my Canon 7D camera. I was lied to from an employee here stated that I would receive my item within the next two days (I ordered 2 day shipping) and my card would be charged right away and would get an email with a tracking number. Two days go by , nothing! Called and spoke with an honest representive who said"I don't know why they told you that, the item is out of stock and won't be in until next week". Needless to say I cancelled. I called Mega Store next because of the price and when i called to check the sales person Rupert ext. 533 said item was in stock. He seemed to be somewhat sympathetic to my prior attempt to purchase from an online store. He did get me to purchase a three-year warranty (89.99, which is a good price), however I have read these are not much of a warranty. He said I could get overnight shipping and he also through in the free bag, lens care kit. I received the tracking number the next day I got my package in the morning!! I wasn't sure if this company was blowing smoke after dealing with Primo Cameras, but I got everything I purchased and in the time stated. I'm sure there are hit and misses with these stores, but Mega Store came through for me. Got my canon 7D and it is not a grey market item! I recommend this store!

Absolutely no pressure to buy extra stuff.
Shipped the camera extra fast as a freebie.
Ordered on Sunday, got in on Tuesday. In perfect shape. And they threw in a really nice camera bag.

"The price for my Nikon D700 was excellent. I was a little leery reading the reviews but decided to go for it. Ordering was easy. I paid for overnight shipping($56) called the day after placing the order to see when it would ship. Very nice at first. Then tried to sell me a way over-priced battery. I said no thanks I have 4 of them. I'm good. Well he pushed a little more and then got rude. After turning down the warranty he hung up on me. Customer service sucks big time. BUT camera shipped and arrived next day. "

"This company also trades under the names: dbuys.com, ibuydigital.com, centraldigital.com, ibuyplasma.com, realdealshop.com.

I found DigitalMegastore.com via Google Shopping while searching for a Yamaha HTR-6260 Receiver. The price was good and shipping was free.

Their sales page for the receiver ( http://www.digitalmegastore.com/Product/?11368142 ) said it was in stock and would ship within 1-2 business days. It also said "Condition: Brand New, USA Warranty".

I placed the order for the receiver on 11/27/2009. On 11/29/2009, I received a voicemail asking me to call about my order. When I called I spoke to Kevin. He said that since they were not an authorized Yamaha dealer and I also needed to buy an extended warranty from them. He then tried to sell me accessories. At the end of the conversation, he said my receiver would be sent straight out to me.

It has now been 10 days since I placed the order. The website said there was no order status and no shipping status for my order. I tried e-mailing them, but only received a reply saying to call them on the phone. I called and found out they never had the item in stock and are not expecting it until tomorrow (though I am skeptical if this could even be believed). Needless to say, I have canceled the order.

Last night, I did another search on the address that DigitalMegastore.com gives on it's "contact us" page. I found that Dbuys.com also trades from the same address and there were many negative reviews.

When I called today to inquire about my order status, I asked the CSR if they also traded under the name Dbuys.com, but she flatly denied it. She said there are lots of other companies that use the same warehouse.

This company is very dishonest. Do not deal with them!

You might be tempted by their prices, but their lies about in-stock & included warranties, shipping delays and upselling tactics are not worth the trouble.

"Trusted Nextag when they posted DigitalMegastore as a 5 star "Trusted Reseller" and got scammed by DigitalMegastore. When I tried to return a defective camera, they gave me a different store name (AMDV) and the address was for a private house, not even a business address (1722 E 28th St. Brooklyn NY 1129.)
Wondering why they gave me a different name and address for the return, I tried to call the phone numbers for AMDV and always got a busy signal. Started to smell like a scam and when I went back to Nextag to double check this reseller, they were posting that "this reseller (digitalmegastore) is no longer active."
Obviously Nextag cannot be trusted either as they do not screen their "trusted sellers" very well.
I would normally never buy from a place like digitalmegastore and went totally off of Nextag's recommendation. Obviously they cannot be trusted either.
