Regretful altogether for me

"I had an awful customer experience with this company.
I chose to buy my engagement ring from them because it was important to me that my ring was not associated with harm to other people and they seemed to have a good ethical standpoint.
I ordered my ring (Hybrid Solitaire engagement ring) online on 1st September 2015. Between then and me receiving the ring, Johanna O’Brien (Deluxe Diamonds) was helpful in keeping me up to date about my order via email.
However, when I received the ring it was a size N and I believe I had ordered a size J. When I emailed Johanna O’Brien about this, she said that there was no size with my order and suggested I get the ring resized in a local jeweller as Deluxe Diamonds are based in France. I also asked Johanna O’Brien why Deluxe Diamonds would make a ring for someone without a ring size – she informed me that many people do not order a ring size.
My partner looked into resizing the ring and was advised against resizing the ring due to it's setting by three separate jewellers. (I thought Deluxe Diamonds should have been aware of this given that they made the ring.) I informed Johanna O’Brien about this via email and asked for a refund. Since this email, I have not had any contact from Johanna O’Brien or Deluxe Diamonds despite frequent emails, telephone calls and recorded delivery letters requesting that they offer a refund or replacement or communicate with me to resolve the situation. I have also asked the manager of Deluxe Diamonds to look into their online ordering, as when items are placed in the shopping basket no size is stated, but they have not engaged in any communication since me requesting a refund.
As I had not had any communication from Deluxe Diamonds in January 2016, I then started to look into other options that would make the ring the right size but not distort or weaken it. When I took it to a jewellers, they told me that the Hybrid diamond was cracked.
I feel completely let down by this company. I chose them due to their ethics, but do not feel that their customer ethics are anywhere near good enough, making me wonder about their company ethics overall.
I feel cheated by them into paying for and having to keep a ring that does not fit me and that I have been advised against resizing. To top all that off, I have been told that the Hybrid diamond has a crack in it.
I would never buy from this company again and completely regret using them as it has spoilt my experience of getting engaged.
