Poor customer service, Bad payment gateway, Confusing order page

"Tried to order a laptop from dell.ca, when it came to payment page, I entered my debit MC (which I used multiple times to order from dell.ca before). The page said it was declined.
I contacted customer service and the agent said he will look into this and get back to me. Never did in a week so I gave up on the order.

Fast forward 3 months, I placed another order and this time it went through. After the payment was accepted, I got another email and text saying it failed, although the order page says it was accepted. I contacted my bank and they confirmed they received nothing and my card is valid (and I also use it weekly with other vendors without any problem).

Contacted dell customer service again, and they didn't really seem to care or help or keen in getting any sales. The CS agent admitted they have random problems with their payment gateway. I later decided to cancel the order, and this time they were more than happy to help and even phoned me back to make sure my order was cancelled. They never asked why did I cancel it nor they cared.

It's amazing how this outfit went downhill like that since 2-3 years ago. Their customer service used to be good, ordering used to be easy and products used to be reliable. Not the case anymore. Reading more reviews here, I think I made the right decision about cancelling my order with them seeing the horror stored from customers wanting to repair or return the product. Good by dell.ca..!!

Warranty not worth the paper it is written on!!!!

"Bought Vostro 7620 for my grandson for university. Laptop was always difficult to open and sure enough finally hinge broke!! This happened with still 5 months remaining on warranty. Dell quoted $ 420.72 to fix it. Talked to representitive "Roshild" who stated that indeed it looked like it was never abused or dropped and he would re-evaluate claim. Never heard back!! Next day talked to representative "Salam" who informed me it was not a known problem with this unit - therefore not under warranty. All my computers past and present are Dell, but never again!!!"

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT

"WORST CUSTOMER SERICE AND SUPPORT FOR OVERPRICED, UNDERPERFORMING GAMING COMPUTERS.
We will never purchase another product from this company. My son (who has disabilities) saved for over ayear to purchase a gaming computer (Alienware Aurora Rio) and it came with a 12 month warranty ($3,500.00). At 13 months, it died. DEAD, nothing he can do to fix it. Dell customer support told him they could not help him and that he could buy some support information. Are you kidding me?! Buy? You sold a $3,500.00 computer and at 13 months you offer no advise, no support until my son pays you?! You are the lowest of lows when it comes to customer service and support. You are a disgrace to deal with and your products are substandard - which is why you don't stand behind them.

HORRIBLE Company, HORRIBLE SERVICE

"Bought a DELL Inspiron desktop computer from Costco back in September. Not even 6 months later, the computer just died! Since it's now over the 90 day return period for Costco, I could not return it. Tried calling support several times. No one was able to fix the computer. I was finally told to ship the computer to Dell so that they could fix it, so I did. Two weeks later, it came back , still not fixed and now damaged due to the transport. Called DELL back, they sent another box saying send it back to them again. I have now been told that they are sending it back but were unable to fix it!
If it cannot be fixed, then DELL should replace the system!!!! I spent over $1000 on this stupid computer, only to last me 6 months????
NEVER BUY DELL AGAIN!!!!

No Laptop no money

"Ordered Laptop. Laptop was not delivered and no refund. I am spending 4 h on customer service support and still not correct respond.
Still waiting for my money back. But on Customer Service all says, they cant do anything for support me on this. Really bad experience. I hope I will not spend other 4 h tomorrow to find out when I will get my laptop or my money back !

"Had order cancelled then shipped messages multiple times. Called and spoke to 4 people, all throwing me around to reexplain. Finally i get a guarantee i'll be refunded... next day order was sent to wrong address. How idiotic is this system? "

DELL run for your life!

"Case file #1084206205. My Bluetooth wasn't working. I contacted DELL support (Philippines) I could not speak to someone in North America as I didn't have the correct warranty aka expensive service package. I had to remove windows 11 and go back to windows 10. I asked the tech (Jay) what he was going to do with my data and he kept repeating would you like to go back to windows 10. I finally said. Ok well your the expert so you tell me. He then proceeded to wipe my system clean and of course all my data. Of which he then said "You said Ok". Who in their right mind would wipe 15 years of files. Long story short if your looking for a company that backs up what they sell and doesn't blame the customer. By sending their services over seas, this isn't it."

Worst Customer support

"In two months the system crashed (blue screen) twice while using Dell's update tool. System got buggy after using Dell's recovery tool. Asked for help from support. It took Dell 3 days to contact me in the specified time window and the answer was that I would have to pay $129 for personalized support to fix an issue that Dell software created in a brand new computer."

"Horrible service!!! Nothing but lies on their website! Ordered desktop on Dec 31,201, website stated "ready to ship item". Original delivery date after I placed my order was Jan 28,2022. I contacted Customer Service and they assured me that order will be expedited. Also reached out to CEO, Michal Dell and the Head of Canadian office - Pam Pelletier- my requests were completely ignored"

"If I could put -5 I would.

Purchased DELL G15 RYZEN EDITION (5515) on August 18 2021.

The first surprise was delivery date Sept 22. The assembly lab is in 4 hours of driving from my location. It was assembled in few days and the saga started. I was trying to get the status of the parcel in two weeks and got lies from absolutely every Dell support person - it's coming in few days, it's coming in few hours. At the end I heard another story from a support guy that computer is assembled in Asia and there delays in transportation. And that's was the red line, cause in history of the product was written it was sent from Toronto.

I asked to recall the package cause I had a feeling I'm not going to get it ever. The answer - we need to send this request to special team cause you cannot return the product when 30 days passed from the shipment date

Total disappointment

"Scam alert. Do yourself a favour and don't step in this trap.
If you do not purchase Dell's Paid Support Package you will be in trouble.
Dell has installed files in your computer (your computer comes with them)
that will start slowing down your computer.
There is are embedded in the same files that will constantly will
pop up messages on your screen to upgrade your support package.
The app is called MyDell (that your computer comes with it) .
I have already paid $145 (tax in) to them for a one session online, to fix such a slowing down once. Not fully recovered. The purchase date is on or around Feb. 10th 2020.
Throughout that support I could not help, but feeling I was on the phone with
the same people from india that call you and claim they are from CRA and try to scam you.
By the while in the subject, recently they have started calling and claiming to be an
police officer from border control and they have confiscated an illegal package that was sent to you.

Don't buy an alienware aurora. Ever.

"Bought one of these PCs because it seemed like a good price. At the last second they changed the ship date by 6 weeks then told me it was too late to cancel. When the computer arrived it was super dirty and dusty. Blue screens and random restarts every hour. The machines are basically impossible to upgrade without paying scalper prices from Dell. You have to use SUPER SPECIFIC parts for anything to function properly. They make it super proprietary so that you HAVE to go through them and pay a premium for parts.

Whoever put the machine together was dumb, they didn't even cover the whole CPU with thermal paste, which I replaced, thus voiding my warranty. The fans are super loud and basically useless, they will need to be replaced (again, this will void your warranty). The machines come in a hap-hazard form, and anything you do to try and make it work will instantly void your warranty. Complete lemons. Eventually I will strip out the parts I can use to build my own PC. Alienware is junk.

Customer service is a joke as well. Just an all around horrible experience. I would never buy one of these again. Just spend the extra money and build your own or buy something else. Dell doesn't give a damn about their customers or the quality of their products.

Dell complaint.

"Dell complaint.

In Nov. of 2020, I purchased 2 laptops and a desk model from Dell. I received them sometime in December.

Right off the bat I had a problem. One of the laptop arrived with a broken screen. I called them up and they replaced the laptop. Not their fault.

Now comes the rest of the complaints. From day 1, I had a hard time getting on. It would take, both of the laptops, between 3 to 5 minutes after you logged for the computer to start. Then when you would try to go to Google or Firefox, you would be at least another 3 to 5 minutes. If you tried to get into your email or other sites, it was the same thing. And you needed to be in the same room as your wifi to get a signal. If you were more than 15 feet away the signal would get weaker. My house is 25' x 40' and if I was on the other side of the house (40'), I would get the dot or no signal at all.

On numerous times, I tried to get in touch with them through their web site, so I could talk to someone about the issue. NEVER was able to get anyone. This went on for the next 7 months.

Finally was able to get to their site, put in the model of the laptop and I was told via a message on the screen the laptop was now out of warranty, and that was nowhere for me to go forward to find out what the troubles were.

Now for the Desk model. Had no problems with it. Start with a minute or 2, but when the screen would show, ½ of the screen along the bottom where your task bar is, you could not see it totally. And this went all away around the screen. I tried making the screen smaller, but the situation stayed the same. If you look at your screen on the bottom at the time and date, you can see the time but not the date. Also was never able to get it fixed.

Just a side note. About a month or so after I received my computers, I received an email from Dell asking for my opinions on the computers. After filling out the form with what I said above, I never heard a word back.

Worst Laptop and worst service

"I recently bought a new laptop from Dell 2months back. Since beginning it is giving me troubles. Laptop used to heat up so much that i cant even handle it and automatically runs memory diagnostics. Even after 3 services where they changed the fan, heat sink, ram and 3 online technical suport where they ahd updated their bios drivers the issue is still not going. Dell refuses to change the system . What the f___ do they think of the customer. Never expected a company like Dell will treat their customer like that. Guys never buy a system online otherwise u get a **** from them."
