"Don't use this retailer!

I bought 2 costumes for halloween on Oct 10th - plenty of time. I used paypal to pay for it, which sends an echeck if it's linked to a bank account. The echeck takes 3 days to clear. I received confirmation from Paypal on Oct 13th that the check cleared, then went on vacation for 4 days. Come back on the 17th and checked the website, the transaction is in a "pending" state. So I sent an email. No response. So I call the following Monday. By now it's the 23rd and I'm running out of time. I call and get a guy on the phone and mention the email, he says: "Yeah our phone lines are swamped we haven't been able to get to the email" (FAIL). I ask what's the deal, he says that paypal doesn't send confirmation of when the echeck clears - So you're telling me that I could have waiting indefinitely for this to ship unless I called to ask about it? Seriously? I don't buy it - By now, 1 of the 2 costumes is out of stock. Fine, just send me the one, and send it express, because I'll need it in 4 days. He says 1.) he'll take one costume off the bill and 2.) that he'll expedite the shipping. So what happens? 1.) They don't take the costume off the bill and 2.) they bill ME $40 for the shipping, when previously it was FREE. I don't have words to describe how much I HATE this place, but I wouldn't buy anything from them under any circumstance. They failed at every single aspect of customer service, and apparently they don't even know how to run the business with Paypal.

"This company do not accept cancellations. Placed an order and noticed that the freight was much more than the material. Was not able to go back and cancel the order. Place a phone call....no answer. Email and next morning someone call. Advise them about cancelling the order and he tell me it was too late. But their email said: If you do not validate your account you shipment will be late. Never accepted the validation of my account but he tells me I am too late. Why?? he wanted 20% restocking charges if I return the material. What a ripoff. Be aware. You are at their mercy. BAD,BAD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. Never again will buy from them. By the way, I placed the order at 10:35 pm and they call me early am.

"This site sucks. YOU CAN NOT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - NOT BY PHONE OR EMAIL. Great prices, but if you can't get your item what is the point?

What happened with me is I put a previous address for my billing (couldn't remember if it'd been changed yet), since it was wrong, they sent me an email and I corrected everything promptly.

It's been days now and my order is still on hold and I can't get a hold of anyone at DasCheap. I beginning to wonder if anyone works there. I have no choice but to cancel my order (hopefully, I'll be able to get in contact with someone to do that!) and order my kids' costumes somewhere else and pray I see them before Halloween.

"Awful. I ordered a costume for Halloween from them because it was the best price and they boasted fast processing and fast shipping. Yeah right.

9 days later and my item has not shipped (they took the money out of my account rather quickly tho!). I've tried many emails and called at least 10 times. Nothing. Their offices are always closed and once the phone line was busy. My emails have been ignored. All I want is for someone to send my item before Halloween! And if my item isn't stock, someone needed to have told me a long time ago so I could've ordered it from somewhere else.

Update: They finally called me back and said that their "updater" isn't working and that none of the items recently are being marked as shipped, even tho they have been shipped. Hmmm. Either way, I appreciated the phone call back and I will admit it is very nice that their customer service people speak great English!"
