"I orderd: 300 Watt Titanium Heater, Finnex
Item # HE-FXTH-0300. I was sent instead Jalli product. I requested an RMA and returned. I opened a dispute / claim with PayPal. Both PalPal and the seller did not give me a refund.

Update: D&T says they did not recieve back as of 6/3, however they were Delivered to D&T in OCEANSIDE CA 92056 05/27/10 10:42am, and I have delivery confirmation.

Paypal talks a greaat line, but does little to backup their cusstomer service claim. D&T Aquarium Supplies should have issued refund the day they got their subsstitute product back, and excuses don't work for me.

"An awfull experience!

One month ago I purchased three HQI bulbs and two CO2 valves. Two weeks after paying $354,23 I get a mail from the owner, Thomas, telling me they don't have the bulbs but will arrive soon. Two weeks later, he tells me they have received the bulbs but don't have the CO2 valves available.

He asks me for $33,30 additional shipping charge to send me those valves. I can't believe it, I have payed the whole amount more than one month ago, I don't know when I will get the stuff and I'm asked for more money.

I feel as they are just pulling my leg, I can't believe it after so many years buying on the internet.



I would like to answer to the reseller reply. The facts are the following:

On 3th April. I enter D&T Aquarium Supplies where I found some stuff I was interested in. The stuff was three halide bulbs and two CO2 needle valves. As it was available on the D&T web page, and the price was ok, I decided to buy it. I used Paypal service to pay $354,23.

On 5th April I receive a mail from D&T Aquarium Supplies informing that EVERYTHING was on back order. It seems I was so unlucky they sold it out in such a short time (or perhaps it was not true the items were available as stated their webpage).

I decided to wait for several days, but nothing changed. In the meantime I kept asking about my order and always got the same answer: it should arrive in the next few days or it should arrive this week...and so on for a whole month time.

On 3th May I sent a new mail to Thomas (D&T owner) complaining about their commercial policy, which is illegal in my country (you cannot ask for money and delay the shippment for so long, that is called illegal financing).

Ten minutes later I receive a new mail from Thomas. He tells me the bulbs arrived the day before but he has not received the CO2 needle valves. I immediately replied that I was really fed up, I couldn't wait anymore, specially when I don't know for how long whould it be.

I then replied that I would only accept one of these two possibilities:

- They send the bulbs right now and the valves when they get them, of course with no extra charge for that second shipping

- They send the bulbs right now and give my money back (proportional part for the valves plus their shipping)

His answer was this:
"The extra shipping will be $33.30 to ship out the 2 xRed Sea High Precision CO2 Needle Valve, Red Sea when they come in. I can split the shipping with you if you like ut thats about it."

I have not get any other answer from him, I am still waiting his reply, I don't know if he is sending the bulbs, if he is giving my money back...

I am an experienced internet buyer, and never had these issues. I think there are enough reasons to strongly discourage everyone from purchasing anything from D&T Aquarium Supplies.

"This company has great customer service until your order is shipped. After shipping it becomes non existent. I have an order that has a drop ship from the manufacturer and have received no response to 3 emails to D&T to let me know if they have any info on the drop shipment."

"Don't every buy from this place. There is no phone number listed on the website and no one ever calls you back when there is a problem. I bought a few items and the returns were never credited."
