"Avoid this online merchant at all costs. My order was shipped in the second week of January and as I am writing this review, it has not shown up yet. After waiting out the 20 business days for domestic Media Mail, I called their Returns & Replacements Department to claim my refund and was told to wait another week after the customer service referred me to some nonexistent clause in their terms and conditions.

Also, they have raised all their prices since they have offered free shipping to all their orders. This in effect offsets the shipping cost. for the free shipping. What is more outrageous is that they have canceled items in my order because I had preordered them for prices that are lower than their new "adjusted" price."

Cons:
1) Web site is not easy to use.
2) Do NOT pay for "Priority Mail", as they ship anything over 1 CD (DVD) 1st class, which is a LOT slower.
3) The "will be shipped today" should be taken with a grain (ok, maybe a ton) of salt.
4) Shipping is per CD (DVD), inflating prices.
5) Once entered, there is no way to delete your credit card info. Use a "disposable, one use" number, if your credit card company has them available (most do.)


Pros:
1) They DO have a good selection.
2) Prices seem to be competitive.

All in all, if I want something they have and nobody else does, I will shop there again. If they are equal to another location, hmmmmm......"

"ok, first off, I would like to say, is wow, this company is great. I love DVDPACIFIC. they will always be my #1 place to buy DVD's from. I happen to be an anime fan, and with the prices they have on their, that is plain awsomeness. I love this place. They are very responsive to their e-mails, and they have friendly customer service even over the phone.
They are quick with their shipping, and they don't sit around doing nothing all day, these people work!
And no, don't attempt to adjust your monitor when you see the prices on the screen, those are true, and they are not bootleg DVDs. they are actaully priced at the member's discount price. I have been buying anime from them for a while now and I could not be anymore satisfied.
They have cheap shipping as well, their slowest shipping is still fast. they don't sit there waiting for someone else to package an order, its like they get busy right away.
I am most definately 100% going to buy alot more from them, and to say I highly recommend these people. I have never had a problem, neihter has my family.
I have done some stupid things, such as put in the wrong credit card, and ordered, I e-mailed them right away asking to cancel the order so I can reorder on my credit card, and what do you know? the e-mail was answered quickly.

"They're okay, but not great. Their ordering system is probably the worst I've seen since the turn of the century. You have to e-mail a represenative to get anything done, such as merging orders. Though their responses were very prompt (Early the next business day) I would rather be able to perform such tasks through an automated system. They keep credit card numbers on file and won't let you delete a credit card from their database via their webpage. To get around this, I used virtual card numbers from my credit card company and set them to expire as soon as I could.

Good selection, prompt service from live reps, and excellent prices are what made me order from these guys in spite of their bad ordering system. I'll do business with them again, but only if I can't find better prices elsewhere."

"I purchased 3 dvd's on 1-19-05, Wed but didnt get a response until the 21st Friday stating that my credit card number didnt go thru. when i edit the changes, i didn't get confirmation until monday 24th (weekends are likely not a business day for them) stating it was now on its way to my home. i received dvd's today, 1/27/05. It took awhile, but they were very courteous as to letting me know how the order went. i will order more from here again, but this time i hope there wouldn't be any problems with my credit card or that there wouldn't such a long time lapse."

"Purchased one DVD. This is the first time I have done business with them. They had the best price I could find anywhere. Their price with shipping was the same as other stores before shipping. The DVD shipped in padded bubble envelope from Florida on a Thursday by USPS Priority Mail, I received it in California on a Monday. No tracking number was emailed to me, but the DVD came so fast that I didn't need it. No invoice or other material, like a catalog or advertising, came in the envelope, just the sealed DVD. Received one order confirmation email and one shipping confirmation email. I will buy from them again. Very happy. "

"My first experience with DVD Pacific was a little disappointing, taking over three weeks to deliver to Australia with standard shipping, while other sites in Canada were capable of delivering within a week.

I was told in a forum that Priority Air Mail was a better option, although twice as expensive, so I decided to try it. I received the DVD within a week of shipment.

DVD Pacific's greatest attribute is it's customer service, responding to emails within a couple of hours, and cancelling orders is easy and efficient.

The price of titles is excellent, on par with every other site I've come across, but delivery is slightly more expensive. Customer service is second to none."
