"Awful, Awful, Awful!!!! Our vet was out of town on a Friday nite. We were referred to CARE. I was the only person there at 8am. Staff took dog in for violent trembling, panting and cramping. Took a stool sample for same symptoms in Spring. Initial estimate was for over $500 for just a vet to check, blood work and they have NO ONSITE lab so stool had to be sent out. Stools are no longer legitimate after 12 hours! Vet tech came back and said dog had bacteria/parasite infection. How could that be if stool cannot bve tested until Monday?? Tech got vet and I argued with her also so she called our vet staff to check what meds were given to cure similiar problem last spring. Blood check showed a parasite. Not so!! Later we checked with our vet the following week and the blood test showed no such thing!
They took the same meds our vet gave 6 months ago, duplicated them and sent us on our way for over $600 and a 4 hour wait. Later that afternoon the dog became violenty sick. Panting and trembling violently..we called and called all afternoon. Not 1 return call!!!
We took dog back to regular vet only to find out dogs bloodwork was fine and that they have never heard of an Emergency vet hospital not having on-site lab work!!
Dogs stool showed loads of bacteria! Blood work was fine.
We called onwer/vet the next day and staff would NOT allow us to speak to Dr Phillips. We requested a partial refund. Offc Mgr stated no way!
A after check on yelp.com showed vet had a very VERY poor rating.
Do not waste your time and most of your money on worthless exams with these people. They are not vets!
