"Unfortunately I am puzzled about what kind of review to give Cook's Direct. My experience was strange indeed. I occasionally scan the site, but since I am in the business for 40 years, I can buy most items direct. However I was on the net pricing a specific portable heater from Air King when I noticed the Cook's Direct site showing that model for an unbelievably favorable price. Not knowing whether this was a closeout, an open box item or something else, I called the 800 number and unfortunately just got voice mail and left a message. I then e-mailed the inquiry to the company. I waited a bit with no response so I then purchased two of the units. A little later I did receive a call back from a sales person who left me a voice message. She answered several of my questions but didn't confirm the price. I called a second time to inquire and reached a gentleman. I wanted to confirm the pricing and condition of the units. He stated his computer was down and that he would have to call me back. I was fine with that and told him I wanted to purchase two more units at the internet price. Five minutes later the web site had changed the price and I never received a call back. Professionalism would dictate that I would have received a call back with a proper explanation. I am happy I purchased two units since the online price should have been honored, however after having pointed out their error, common courtesy would have dicatated a reply. Sorry about that but I thought the whole experience quite odd.

This is an addition to this review. I received a personal phone call from Tim Ford, the president of Cook's direct in order to resolve the issue I had. He was most gracious, concerned about his customer service and resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I have amended the review to reflect this resolution."

"Cook's Direct had an issue with my shipping address and no one called or left a message regarding the issue in April. Here it is June and my order just got shipped June 11th. I felt like I was getting the run around from Cook's Direct. I am sorry to say, I will not order from this company again."

"The description of the rubber handle covers was very poor. I thought they would be seven inches long, they were only four inches. The description did not state for seven in pan. If I would have known I would have ordered the middle size rubber handle covers. I paid for Federal Express (signature required?) was way over board. A much cheaper form of shipping would have been more appropriate. Most web site go with a cheap shipping method, with an option to pick a quicker delivery method. Not a happy shopper! "
