"Ordered 512mb Kingston RDRAM. Was told that product was in stock and had been shipped to me, but I didn't receive. This went on for more than a week. Finally confessed out of stock, volunteered free shipping upgrade to overnight (I had already upgraded to 2-day), then didn't ship overnight and refused to give me a shipping credit for diff between 2-day and ground, when the delivery time was so long.
Finally received product, which had already been opened and turned out to be defective. Reseller refused to pay shipping charges to exchange defective RAM for new RAM.

I have had 2 experiences with these guys and BOTH were bad. 1st one I ordered 15 copys of windows XP pro COA and lets just say I ordered them 2nd day air and it took 3 weeks to get my products. I called them daily and got the run around every day!!!! Finally I con'ed the reseptionist into shipping them for me. FREAKING LOUSY COMPANY! "Mixed emotions about this order. First, I ordered the Sony DVD-500AX drive because their website said they had it in stock (and I had a bad experience with another vendor who said it was in stock). So I e-mailed them. 4 times.
My first problem is that their website says that they respond to all e-mails within an hour. I never received a response to any of the e-mails I sent to 2 of the addresses off their site. So I called. I couldn't understand the receptionist, but after my 3rd call in, I was able to talk to someone who said (after I was on hold for a bit) that it was shipping out today, which it did. I was left with the feeling, though, that if I hadn't called, it wouldn't have shipped. Just my impression.
The box arrived. I couldn't tell if it was wet at one time or not. The box just felt weird and was a little warped (it is cardboard, though). But all the parts were in there and I burned a DVD last night, so I'll assume all is well.
My biggest reason for ordering through them (the price on the drive was average) was that noone had any in stock locally. That changed about 2 days after I placed the order. Just glad I didn't get bit."
"Took an exceptionally long time to deliver (12 days total), all I ordered was windows XP. I recieved LARGE bulk packages cross country in half the time.
Order tracking DID NOT WORK. They did not respond to any email or phone call inquiries about my order.

"Ordered nearly a thousand dollars worth of hard drives from componentsdirect. I was somewhat weary about this purchase, due to all the negative feedback, but they had by far the best price and shipping cost for the drives that I needed.
I am happy to say that the drives arrived as advertised, and packaged very well. They were all new, and they all work.
It did take them 3 business days to ship the order...not fast, but not unacceptable. Also, as soon as the drives shipped, they posted a tracking number on their webpage. Overall a very positive experience."
"i bought windows xp coa over the phone. found them on pricewatch with a big (*IN STOCK NOW* Windows XP Pro COA License (More arrived today) now 10 days later still waiting on that promise. ups time-in-transit has me down for 5-day delivery. givin the normal 24hr prossing/shipping time that delivery date passed on thursday.
they e-mailed me a link to my invoice witch didn't work. when i figured the format of the link i fixed it and found somthing. after requesting the sales person repeat my shipping information 2 times they still managed to get it wrong on my invoice. i was billed but the liklyhood that the package will just be returned undeliverable is high.
