"I bought an Olympus C-700 digital camera with accessories from an Ebay auction. I was worried after reading about the negative stories of dealing with these people. I was however, suprised when my tracking number was emailed to me within the timeframe stated. The package did arrive the same week, and the items were in the promised condition with good packaging.

Their customer support is a little slow (I was put on hold for 15 minutes.) Other than that, I'd recommend purchasing from them. I am not sure how my experience would have been had the product been defective. My experience was positive overall.

"I won a Canon G3 with bonus accessories on eBay on a Wed. and received it the following Monday. Camera and accessories are sweet and in perfect working order - my wife will love the b-day present! After winning the auction and THEN reading all the negative reviews on this site and others I was concerned that I would fall prey to a similar fate. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see the package on my doorstep less than 3 business days from when I paid them. Never received notice that I had to call and confirm the order with a hard sell for unwanted items like others have reported. I have received a few e-mails pitching a warranty that I didn't purchase. I have not had any contact with customer/technical support at this time."

"We have been trying to buy the C-4000 Olympus on Ebay. First try was horrid. Other buyers warned me off. Bid on another from a site (not choice one), but Choice One contacted me. I checked to be sure they were legit, and read some really horrid reviews, but after "Manny" gave me details in writing, I accepted camera. Looks good -- zero blemishes, everything OK. Surprise! Maybe they have learned that it doesn't pay to mess around .. it's easier to run a clean operation than a dirty one.

"I ordered a camera on Thursday. I was then sent an email stating that I would need to confirm my order AFTER 24hrs. When I called to confirm the salesman tried to sell me accessories for the camera. When I stated that I did not need the accessorries I was put on hold. When the salesman came back I was told the camera was "out of Stock" and they did not know when it would be in stock. Shady. Wanted to sell you accessories, for 3 times the prices listed elswhere, for a camera that "is out of Stock". "

" I was very surprised when my DCR-TVR340 arrived from Choice One Digital just two days after I ordered it. Everything was there in the package, no surprises. I was going to purchase the camcorder form a competitor for less than they charged until I did my home work and discovered while reading reviews that this was a good no hassle company. "Won a ebay auction then read the comments on this site, then I was afaird to send them the payment, after thinking about it for 2 weeks went ahead and called them upon the 22nd, they answered the phone on the third ring, they did put me on hold twice very breifly while they looked up the item #, got back on the phone and tried to sell me a overpriced extended warranty but with no pressure, total time on phone 11 minutes. (not bad) camera shipped on the 23rd (overpriced UPS) arrived today the 30th was well packed and camera was as describedbut the case could have been better.
after being afried to buy from them I am glad that I did as the price was great (it looks like their buyer pisit1001 did not get the price over what my max was, (they do use other names to get the bids up). overall i went into this purchase expecting the worst but I am happy.

"Ordered a camera before Christmas, and when I received it (two weeks later) it was missing the rechargeable batteries and the charger that are definitely supposed to come with it. (It even says so on the box!) I Called them and they said those were optional and would cost $49 extra! I said then in that case I would return the whole camera, they refused to offer to refund my shipping, and said there would be a 15% "restocking" fee! These guys are absolute theives and I am writing to the Attorney General.

These is no way in hell that the very satisfied" ratings below are real. They are definitely shills from this company. Notice their wording is almost identical in every case.

If you order anything from these guys, you'll be sorry.

"I had massive problems with Choice One. I won an Olympus C-2100 via eBay and paid within 15 min of auction close via PayPal. I received the email asking to call to confirm my order and knew I was in for bait-and-switch. When I called I was on hold for 40 minutes before I received the high pressure pitch to upgrade warranty etc. I refused and paid $30 UPS 2-day. Shipping took over a week. When I received item, it was extremely poorly packaged, I couldn't believe it didn't get broken. Also, several parts were missing. When I called to find out when they would send the parts, I was again put on hold for nearly an hour. It took nearly 2 months of daily phone calls and filing a report with the BBB to get the parts. AVOID THIS SELLER! And add your story at www.ebayersthatsuck.com!"

"BEWARE! SCAM ARTIST! I won from them a bid on eBay of a Fuji S602 digital camera. As soon as I won paid them with Paypal, and send them a letter asking if they can send the camera to my Box address, that by the way, IS my billing address; and asking them to specify exactly which accessories they were going to send with the camera BEFORE they send it, because just after paying ( I was new at this) I notice some differences in the accessories advertised above (in big letters) and the ones they specified later (in small letters) as “AUCTION ITEMS”. They wrote me a letter telling me that they don’t send to box addresses (with no other explanation). I wrote them that they should tell me with which company they were going to send it, because my address is a little tricky and I always have problems receiving my mails, and AGAIN asked them to answer my OTHER question. No answers from them in 4 days, even when I wrote them EVERY day 3 to 8 replays of the same second letter, just received automatic response letters asking to wait, and with a THREAT in the bottom saying that if you give them a bad review you will receive a bad one too (NO WONDER ALL THOSE GOOD REVIEWS THEY GOT ON EBAY), I’m almost sure they are a lot of people that did what I WAS going to do: simply give NO review at all. In the fifth day received a letter from them asking me to pay $20 more for shipping ( I have already paid $30, that was MORE than UPS charged to send the package 2 day air with insurance, and that was exactly what they asked to pay in the advertise), I was NOT willing to pay more, so I decided to call: phone rings and nobody answers, after calling every 15 minutes for a day, finally they answered (bad English, NO Spanish) put me on hold, then another person, then on hold again, then hang me up; called again and again they put me on hold, waited for long time and then decided to hung up (by then I was REALLY mad). I wrote to eBay, filled a complain with Square Trade, wrote them MORE letters, no answers for 4 more days. Then finally decided to write to Paypal, they didn`t receive ANY answers from them either for 7 more days, so they reimburse me the money. Thanks god I paid them with Paypal!!!!, or else I would still be waiting for any answers from them.
Another important thing I must ad: I gave them a bad review on eBay January 4th at 4:00 pm asking people to see my complete review here (but I couldn’t wrote it that day), before that there were just a bunch of very dissatisfied customers complains here, but “suddenly” the same day at 8:00 pm appear a very satisfy customer, and the second day 4 more (2 at 12:00 pm and the other 2 at 7:00 pm) and the third day another more. How convenient!!!!
I have all the proof of what I`m writting, I can send it to you if you want.

"Bought a digital camera package from them off Ebay. I live in CT, they're in NY, so I chose to drive down and pick it up to pay in person since I feared a scam. They were rude guys who barely spoke english in a dirty alley style warehouse. Pretty scary. They reported me as non-paying to Ebay which caused all sorts of problems. Ended up with a faulty 128MB card too. STAY AWAY from these guys!!"

"Scam artists. I was winning bidder on eBay for a Fuji S602 camra. I called the following day with shipping and credit card info. They tried to hard sell expensive extras including a warranty for $149 (later purchased at another store for $34.95). When I didn't purchase any of their extras, they simply ignored the winning bid and did not ship. Eleven days later I faxed them a cancellation ***-***-****) and notified the Greater New York BBB and eBay by letter (eBay, Inc., 2145 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125). Avoid this group, they are unethical and their prices on extras are very high. expensive. I recommend Comp-u-plus (www.compuplus.com). Reasonable price on camera, and low prices on warranty, shipping, and accessories. "

"Ordered a Sony TRV740 camcorder. After spending well over 10 minutes trying to sell me additional things along with an extended warrenty the rep I spoke with told me it would be 3-4weeks. Well, I waited the month then began to worry so I checked the site to see the status of my order. To my amazement I saw that my order had been cancelled! Rude service and making me wait a month for nothing. I will NEVER buy from this company again!"

"I tried to order a Canon S40, and after their sales person said it was in stock, the person taking the order said it was on back order and wouldn't ship for over three weeks. Since I was just leaving the country for a couple weeks, I let the order stand. I called them back now a week after they said it would ship. Again the sales guy said it was in stock, but the person looking up my order said they didn't have any and probably wouldn't for 4 more weeks. I canceled right there, went to another vendor (Nice Electronics) who had an even cheaper price since that month had gone by, and got my camera shipped the next day. These guys at Choice One clearly won't sell to you unless you order extra accessories to give them a good profit. Terrible! Don't waste your time with these losers."
