Ordering Issues

"I am a first time user of Chewy. I ordered cat food that had to have my vets approval. That put my shipment date later than expected and i was out of food. Chewy went above and beyond to solve my problem!! I really thought it would be my first and only time with them but not true, i will order again. Thank you Chewy for such a fast response time to correct the problem....extremely happy cat mom."

A company that cares about its customers

"I am honestly astounded by this company... A few days ago one of our dogs, Bailey, passed away... We had already ordered her diabetic food but had not opened it.. We called and not only did you guys say you would refund us for the food, but that we should just donate the food as well.... Today we also were surprised with flowers from you guys and we were honestly just blown away.... This company and the customer service is the most impressive we have ever seen."

Best customer service on the planet!

"Chewy has a HUGE selection of pet products for almost any species of pet. A gazillion brands of pet food, and also toys, accessories, cages, treats, and medications. Their prices are competitive esp with their free shipping. The standout feature of Chewy, though, is the fantastic customer service. Reps are super friendly and helpful, the return policy is the best I've ever seen , anywhere. And not only do they send birthday cards to my dogs, they sent me HANDPAINTED mini portraits of each of my pooches after I'd emailed them about something and happened to include pics of my dogs. I was just blown away!
Chewy also donates TONS of pet food and supplies to good rescue orgs and shelters. They don't brag about or publicize all the wonderful things they do so I want folks to know that Chewy.com goes above and beyond to provide awesome service and good products and they truly are compassionate and generous . Chewy.com ROCKS.

Auto Ship

"Check your auto ship emails closely. When your use to getting them like clock work you tend to not check them out very closely and you won't notice they jacked up the bully bones $30. Quite a shocker looking at my credit card after the fact. Something that much of a price change should alert you since a lot more. They got there last bit of money from me."

"I ordered food for my animals and they say 1-2 day shipping well I wont get my order for 6 days from day I ordered my animals will be out of food and they gave me a credit but I don't have money to buy another bag for 3-5 days when the credit shows up. don't say 1-2 day shipping if you cant follow it, I am one who don't have a extra $50 to buy another bag while I wait for my money back.

Brought me to tears!!

"I've heard so many good things about Chewy, so when I got my first puppy I naturally made the first order for his necessities through them. It was super easy to find what I needed and everything came in less than 2 days even though I made the order on the weekend! In the end, I didn't end up using the pet gates I got for him so I called to return them. A real person answered within a few rings and immediately got my refund processed no problem. When I asked about the return label, he told me not to worry about sending the gates back and instead to donate them to a rescue or shelter that could use them instead. I was so surprised and touched I teared up! Even if it's just $30, for a company to willingly give up revenue to help animals in need shows that they're really dedicated to their cause. Chewy is truly deserving of their glowing reviews and I plan to use them for the life of my furbaby! Thank you! :)"

"I’ve been a customer for just over a year now and they never disappoint. They’re so quick and efficient. All of my orders have been on my front doorstep within 20 to 30 hours. I so highly recommend them! ( My purchase date is off by a year... 2019 not 2020.) "

1-2 day delivery is not accurate and false advertising.

"I have placed 3 orders. The first everything came on time made the mistake of having it shipped to the house. Fedex does not go through gates so my package sat right next to the sidewalk for anyone to grab as they walked by (not Chewy's fault). All packages deliver to our work now. The second was ordered on a Monday and the package arrived Thursday (which is 3 days not 1-2) left for vacation Thursday so that was annoying I didn't have what I needed for vacation. The third order was placed on Monday the 2nd most of the order arrived in 2 days however 2 items shipped from 2 different locations one will be here today the other tomorrow (which is 8-9 days). I have looked at all the disclaimers you have for your "free 1-2 day shipping if you spend $49" (including a e-mail advertisement I received the following day after I complained) and no where does it say Fedex only picks up Tues-Sat (which is what I was told via e-mail) or some items may take longer (for example shipping from the east coast to the west coast). And when I ordered the 2 items that shipped separately there was not a disclaimer they would take 8-9 days to deliver. They did give me a $20 credit the first time. Hence the "somewhat satisfied" instead of "below average" rating. However I don't care about the credit. Don't tell me my items will arrive in 1-2 days when that is not true. False advertising is false advertising. I highly recommend having your orders shipped to your work. Being a shop local advocate who needed to find ways to save time I was really hoping Chewy's would be a good solution for my family. But maybe I am just meant to shop at our local pet stores and not online. Petsmart is not one of the stores I shop at so Chewy's/Petsmart will be missing out because my rescue dogs are SPOILED!"

Dog kept throwing up

"My dog used the same brand always. ProPlan Purina Sensitive Stomach. We switched to chewys and he started throwing up everyday.... we thought he had a finicky stomach. In hindsight, we noticed the bags always came resealed with a red sealant, as if having been opened before. This is not the typical way Purina ProPlan properly seals their bagged dog food.

After we cancelled Chewys, we started buying the EXACT SAME BRAND from a regular dog store, (Pet Supermarket or PetSmart) he immediately stopped throwing up. He had thrown up for 4 months straight everyday. It’s stopped the same week we stopped buying from Chewys.

So not sure what was in the dog food from Chewys, but it was making my dog pretty sick. I won’t go back.

Customer For Life!

"Chewy.com is the best! What an incredibly kind thing to do! Those that know me know Buster is so so special to me. Recently I placed an order with Chewy.com for diapers and ordered the wrong size. Chewy.com was so helpful and generous in resolving MY mistake. In the process they asked me about Buster and I sent the gentleman I was talking to a picture of him.

Today I get this surprise in the mail from them. It's a portrait of my Buster on a canvas that I can hang on my wall. I will cherish this FOREVER! Buster will be 16 years old in December. Words can not express what this means to me!

I wish I could post a picture. This is just amazing!

horrible customer service

"shipment arrived late and they lied despite proof. 75 bucks every couple months for five years and their apology is a one dollar coupon. Account closed, avoid them at all cost.

They can't even have the same customer service rep contact you. My stuff always comes from goodyear, az 3 hours away. they tried to tell me it came out of state and explained shipping time after they "reviewed my order." After I blew that up it became the feigned one dollar coupon apology while taking no responsibility. That type of behavior is not worth saving the tax on dog food.

Amazing Customer Service

"We can not say enough great things about Chewy.com and the customer service they provide! Every time we call about updates, changes, etc. to our account and dog food they were always so friendly and helpful with a great attitude. Most recently we contacted Chewy.com about our dog passing and just received our dog food order that day. We asked if we could return the order but instead they wanted to remove the charge from our account and have us donate the food to a shelter. This is true customer service and then to top it off The Chewy Family sent us a beautiful bouquet of flowers showing their sympathy for our Sadie girl. Thank you Chewy.com!"
