"I bought an Acer netbook from the closeout section. (Who says the netbook concept is dead? I don't, and wouldn't have one of those little tablet-toys for what they cost when I can have one of these cool little netbooks.)

Only one was in stock, and it was a discontinued item, but it had all the features I was looking for. Price was great, shipping was fast, and although the netbook shows some minor signs of use, it was factory refurbed and works perfectly -- and was easily upgradable RAM and OS-wise.

Some of these netbooks require major surgery to replace the 1GB RAM chip with a 2GB; the one I got was easy with an removable panel on the bottom. You should be aware of the requirements if you intend to do that kind of RAM upgrade unless you want to be attempting to pop out the keyboard -- and then get it back in correctly. Yikes. Me thinks not -- for me, anyway.

The system came to me flawless, however it was missing the second hard drive metal caddy bracket and the plastic dummy SD card protector that fits in the SD card slot to keep dirt and debris out. A quick call to tech support, and they shipped the caddy bracket out to me very quickly. I took off only one star for the product shipping and condition as they were unable to offer me the SD card protector. Customer service was unable to locate it in the product parts catalog.
