"Thus far we have bought two items from Celtic Studio. One was Pewter and the other Sterling Silver. Both items are top quality in workmanship and materials. Of course the Sterling Silver Clan Crest has the best appearance because of the material in which it is made allows better detail and finish workmanship. I have no complaints on the product.

Both items were received well within the advertised time frame despite having to be handled by the mail service of two countries.

One case was when the owner had a brain tumor diagnosed and although the issue with the ring was resolved the "nasty" comments were still left and not retracted. The other was never a "potential" customer who never paid anything for a custom order. They wanted the "custom" order created before payment. Just not how anyone does business. They never paid for anything or received any order. Quite silly but they can put comments here which can not be removed unless the business pays to become a "member". Basic business extortion. Do a little more research or contact the business directly. This site does not represent a valid opinion.

"I have never dealt with someone so incompetent. I ordered an item in Nov. of 2016, and finally received it in Jan. of 2017. They were totally ANGRY that I dared asked about the whereabouts of my order. They do not deliver in a timely manner and could totally care less about customers. This business is the biggest joke ever. They send you harassing and totally inappropriate emails with lines such as..."you deserve your new president" ?? REALLY! They say I constantly bombarded them with emails. I sent the first one where they said I should receive the item the week of Christmas, then when I didn't I sent a second which they never responded to. "Very poor service, My company decided to try him out as a dropshipper as we wanted to help a Canadian business, he assured me that he was very reliable. If this proved good, we would go on to full wholesale. Our first customer bought and so we ordered an item from Louis. It took over one month to get to her. In that time I emailed 5 times, the first 11 days later to see if they had even acknowledged the sale and I received a one line email back stating "we are very busy". The rest was to find out its whereabouts of the item, a tracking number etc...only one more email was sent and that was a short one liner again saying (its was mailed out on (insert date here) this is 19 days after the item was ordered) and a payment email from paypal. No invoice was sent for our records...nothing. My customer had emailed 2 weeks later and said she never received her item. She eventually did but it was over a month to get to her. We assured her we would not be using him again. We called him and without me saying anything except for letting him know who I was he began with a very pompous attitude about my emails (apparently 5 emails inquiring about an item was too overwhelming and he considered inquiring about an item and the time it was taking rude) and dropped us as a client lol. Hilarious. It is not a huge busling company as that would need many employees as he makes it out to be (as if the rest of the world were stupid). No paying customer should be treated this way no matter how small the order. I cant imagine being a public customer."

"Looking at the other three reviews posted here, I almost did not place an order for a Clan Ring for my son's wedding present and a Luckenbooth pendant for his lovely fiancee. I am so glad that I decided to put in the order anyway. I am not discounting the reviews already posted, but my experience with Celtic Studio was stellar. Since the wedding was within six weeks, I contacted Louis at to whether they could get the items to me in time. I received a reply within an hour saying that they could, but the sooner I ordered the better. After placing the order, I asked them if it would be a possibility to resize the ring since my son sent me the wrong size. Not only did they say yes, but they RECAST the ring in the correct size without batting an eye. Just so that it would be perfect. After only a week, the ring and pendant was shipped out and I received it today (07/23) in SC (A looong way from BC Canada!). The Ring and the pendant are stunning!
Again, I cannot speak to these other reviews, but the Louis that they spoke to doesn't seem to be the Louis and Karen that answered all of my multiple questions promptly, professionally and amicably. I will be ordering another ring for myself soon, and I would recommend Celtic Studio to anybody who is looking for Clan merchandise.

I thought I was dealing with a great company. I placed an order and was told that they created my order before I even gave payment. It sounded too good to be true so I checked out the online reviews. Here is the actual email trail that occurred. Can't make this up...

Notice how a photo of the product could not be provided? Notice how he calls it a scam when I never did? Notice the abusive treatment of customers.

"I placed an order for a wooden plaque bearing a clan tartan and crest. It was to be a birthday gift for a family member. I placed this order on August 26, 2010. "Louis" immediately accepted my payment of $90 and it cleared my account. Then that was it. I never got a order confirmation, receipt, nothing.

On 9/1/10 I emailed Louis politely asking him if he received my order. No response. On 9/5/10 I sent a second email, still being polite, but this time I told him that since he pulled funds from my account I knew he was getting my messages and I wanted a reply. Louis finally replied with the following: "We have been in business for 35 years and are always very busy. We will keep you advised". That is the last time I have heard from Celtic Studios.

I have sent multiple additional emails to Louis over the months, with no response. It is now 10/27/10, two months since my order was placed. My order was never sent, and I discovered that PayPal will not open a claim on a transaction over 45 days old.

So that explains while Louis tells people "5-6 weeks", as by the time you wait past 6 weeks it is too late to file a claim for fraud and Louis has successfully scammed you.

Louis and Celtic Studios are a huge fraud setup. He has "been in business for 35 years and has second and third generation customers returning to him". Yet his website is fairly spartan and has only 20,000 total views.

I learned my lesson on this one. My only recourse now is to contact my credit card company and the BBB and file a fraud report, but something tells me Louis has made off with my funds. Learn from my mistake! Do not ever do business with this pathetic joke of a company... if it really is an actual company and not some scam artist parading as a business to scam people!"

"I ordered a silver ring on June 4th, 2008. The stated delivery time was "6-8 weeks." After countless e-mails and telephone calls to Canada to prod Louis, the proprietor, _a ring_ (not as pictured when I ordered) arrived - ON OCTOBER 21st, 2008! When I e-mailed to complain about the quality, I received back excuses from Louis about him having to "rush" the job (*16 WEEKS*!) due to a subcontractor having botched something up, etc. He said he would re-do it properly. I sent the original (heartbreakingly poorly done) ring back to him at my expense. Now it is March of 2009: he has my money; he has additional postage I included for the promised re-done Ring; he has the original shoddy ring; I have spent well over $100 in telephone calls to Canada, and there is no sign of the promised re-worked ring. My e-mails go unanswered. Do NOT do business here.

Today - *512 Days* after placing my order with Celtic Studio - a ring actually resembling what is advertised on their site finally arrived. It was accompanied by a letter referring to how "nasty" my comments here have been, and what a "jerk" I am for having posted them.

Do you want to do business here? Only you can be the judge of that. If you want my advice, based on my personal experience, I would have to say, "It's fine, if you don't mind waiting over a year and a month to finally receive what you ordered, accompanied by some self-serving prose and passive-aggressive abuse."
