Why are these folks still in business?

"I just called customer service to get an update on when I might receive my order. After listening to a recording telling me how special I am, I finally got to speak to a real person who took my info. As she began to tell me the tracking information, she stopped and said, "Oh, wait, the tracking number is invalid...hmmm..I wonder why?" Well, so did I and after being put on hold for a bit she came back to give me a story about how some shipments are sent out in batches called LPNs and there is no way to track them. Wait, what? So, she explained that I need to give the shipment 15 business days to show up and after the 15 business days, if I haven't received anything to make sure and "by all means" call back. Really? They have my money and I have no product and she thinks she has to tell me to call back? Guaranteed on the morning of the 16th I will be contacting my card company and not this sorry excuse for a business!"

They want your credit card number before your item numbers!

"The minute the lady answered the phone, I knew something was wrong. She didn't ask for the catalog number on the back of the catalog I was using to place my order. She went straight to my address and zip code. Once we had established my address, she wanted to know my credit card number. She wasn't concerned with the numbers of the items I was ordering. The payment always comes AFTER you order something. When I pointed out that I hadn't ordered anything yet, she switched gears and said I could order first. I ended the call without ordering. After reading these reviews, I'm glad I did. "

"I was un-pleasantly shocked to find that you charged me another 14percent more for my order because I opted not to accept your free shipping offer. What a rip-off. Needless to sAy, I will certainly NOT order from you catalog again. Your merchandise was great, you policies ****!!! "

"I ordered 5 items,clothing. All 5 had poor workmanship
Shoddy material in all. Incorrect size which they insist is correct. So small,unbelievable! My credit account will be reimbursed in 6 weeks. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. There is nEason to trade with them .

Poor Customer Service

"If you want your items in a timely manner don't order from here. Ordered items to exchange with family on Thanksgiving for early christmas because won't be able to be together for christmas holiday. Ordered on 13th of November and still have not received items. But they assuredly took my money. Was not able to exchange gifts so now need to ship out of state if they ever do arrive, which is what we wanted to avoid. Customer service only response was that we could refuse shipment when arrives and maybe 2 to 3 months later maybe get money back. Don't waste your time with this site. Didn't even offer any compensation for the trouble they caused. "

"DO NOT ORDER FROM CATALOG FAVORITES. THEY LIE. I placed an order with Catalog Favorites, and ordered rush shipping, for which I paid a premium. Not only was the shipping sent standard (thereby late for my leave date for Christmas), the customer service person said that she hears this all the time. I said I wanted a refund for the difference in shipping, she said that she would have to ask her supervisor. I also suggested that, since her customer service company did not work directly with Catalog Favorites, then perhaps her company should quit working for them. At that point, the phone was disconnected (monitored lines). "

"I bought $128 worth of tee shirts November 10, 2014. I signed up for the 30-day free trial VIP membership to get the "free shipping and a 10% cash back rebate". After the promised 3-6 weeks to receive my rebate had passed, I emailed them 12/26/14. No response. Emailed them again 01/03/15. No response. Emailed again 01/08/15. No response. And, of course, no rebate. Oh well, at least they refunded the $14.95 monthly VIP membership fee that they prematurely charged me.... AFTER I complained that the refund had not posted to my credit card account. "It appears there was a glitch when we processed your refund originally."

Those of you who are happy with this outfit, more power to you. As for me, I won't be back and I warn my friends about Catalog Favorites.

"Avoid this scam of a company at all costs. My wife placed her initial order for over $250.00. Her credit card was immediately tied up with a pre-authorization. Eventually 2 of the items shipped, but here credit card pre-auth was not reduced keeping her card still tied up for the full amount. Then another item shipped with the same results. Her card is still tied up with the initial pre-auth + charged for the 1st 2 items that shipped & then the 3rd item that shipped. So when you add the pre-auth of over $250 + the 2 different charges, her card is tied up at close to $500. We have complained multiple times & each of those times told it would be corrected. It never was. They are liars & at this point, we are at a dead stand-still with our card tied up & yet no merchandise. Stay away from this company if you value your money at all!"

"Ordered a gift for my dad's birthday from the cute little catalog they send with trendy items. I really wanted it for his bday so I paid double the item cost 2 day express. After seeing order update that it had not shipped I called. The agent said I'd have it within a day and a half. Lies. Then after not receiving a week later I called and wanted shipping charges dropped this is after speaking to two ppl same call. Again, another week later, I call no clear answer as to why including a non existent fed ex tracking number yet I received auto email stating shipping was completed. Lies. I get yet again two ppl and out on hold for 25 minutes. The last person I swear tried to swindle me into some vip club, um NO. Then she put in an odd manner about crediting then recharging and re shipping. Well, if it were reshipped that means it was never shipped in first place. Scammers. After trying to figure out that conversation I said forget it, I paid 39.45 total for an item I placed weeks and weeks with two day shipping you WILL refund the entire amount. I will also mention that after speaking to 5 ppl and sending an email as well to customer service that I received no response from that email. STeer clear...I suggest find similar item on Amazon and order from reliable source!"

"I have been happy with Catalog Favorites in the past. However, this order was missing its most expensive item. The invoice said they sent it with the original order and charged me for the item. Having read some of these reviews, I was quite worried about what I would face trying to get this fixed.
I received the order on 12/01/2014 and called customer service on 12/2 2014. I spoke with Brian first. He was very polite and really tried to help me, When he couldn't he transferred me to Kathy, whom he said was a specialist. She was very helpful. The missing item is on its way!
With all the customer complaints I have read, I wanted to put in a good word since I had wonderful customer service. Thank you.

"Do not order from catalog favorites. they automatically enroll you in a vip monthly membership at 15$ a month.

original shipment arrived broken, on an up note they did replace the broken item and it arrived in half the time of the original order.

"My elderly mother ordered a gift for me from this catalog. It was not something I was interested in so I contacted Catalog Favorites to see if I could exchange it for something else. My mother paid $9.95 for shipping of a $35.00 small item and this company told me I had to return the item at my expense even though a return shipping label was included. I was told the cost would be around $9.95 to return the item even though I live in companies state of Massachusetts. Why should we spend $20.00+ total shipping for a $35.00 item?
I will just re gift it. Customer service was terrible, they just didn't get it. I use Amazon almost exclusively because they DO get it! I told my mother and will tell everyone else NEVER to order from this company!
