"I was very disappointed with the information provided in my CarHistory.us.org report, BUT I will continue to purchase them in the future. I have never ordered a CarFax due to outrageous cost; so I was very excited to find a non-profit organization I believed to offer the same important information for a fraction of the cost. Most of the data provided by CarHistory was general tidbits about the make and model overall--surprisingly little information in this report had to do with the individual vehicle I want to obtain more information about...in fact, none of the data my husband and I attained in less than a handful of Google searches was anywhere to be found on the CarHistory report! We have/had suspicions that the seller of our vehicle may not be legally entitled to sell us the SUV--through Google we found out that the last buyer bought the car out of state with a reconstructed title...neither of these important details of the cars past were to be found on our report! I do not know what type of details are provided on a CarFax report, and have no intention of paying their horrid fees to find out, but if these two companies do report the same findings I would be outraged to pay full price for what I paid to receive. HOWEVER, for only $1 I believe I will purchase these reports before future vehicle purchases; I did find out about two manufacturers recalls and with some certainty we no longer believe this vehicle may have been stolen before it was sold to us. Now that I know what CarHistory.us.org reports include I will continue to purchase them, however, I will also do my own, more thorough research for VIN specific information. "
