"My 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE, bought used, came with two OEM fob keys. I wanted to keep one at home and have a full duplicate hidden inside my van (getting old and forgetful, lose stuff here and there), plus a standalone, metal door key to use in a hide-a-key location on the van's outside.
You can appreciate why. If I go somewhere, exit my van and lock it up, then lose the key in my hand, I'll need to get back into the van to retrieve the hidden, duplicate key.

"Since I had misplaced the key fob for my 2006 Toyota Highlander I decided to order one from 'Car and Truck Remotes'. I had no key fob whatsoever left for this vehicle.
Upon receipt of the key fob I attempted to program it following the video instructions and was not successful. Further, not to be daunted, I tried programming it to a 2005 Highlander and still no luck.
Afterwards, I went to the online chat of 'Car and Truck Remotes' and was told to contact (2) Toyota Dealerships for the FCC ID # and also providing the VIN # for my vehicle. Response was the id number was on the back of my remote key fob (which I didn't have). I contacted both the parts and service departments with no luck!
Back to the online chat I went and was told this was impossible!
Finally, after being frustrated and getting the run around I requested a refund which has now been forwarded to me today!"
