"I purchased some cables from CableClub.com. About six weeks later, I received spam to a unique e-mail account that I created for the sole use of CableClub.com. No one else knew that account, so CableClub MUST have given my e-mail address to spammers.

I will never do business with this company again.

"First of all this company running several websites and you can find them (the same hole in the wall) at cableclub.com, bonuscable.com, cablesgroup.com

I ordered couple times cables there and apparently they didn't have a chance to screw it up ;-). In the last order they sent me Hard Drive enclosure with broken faceplate. Let me emphasize it: they SENT me Hard Drive enclosure with broken faceplate – it was not damaged in shipping. I can tell it for sure because UPS box was not damaged in any way and its contents were packed well however the box with enclosure was damaged on the corner like it was stricken or dropped from the height. Needless to say that I was disappointed though anyone can make a mistake and overlook damaged box when putting too many items for shipping. So next day I called them and explained the situation – it took some time before the person on the phone understood what I am talking about; finally she instructed me to send enclosure back and use my customer ID as RMA - that was kind of weird... I sent it back and couple weeks later started to wonder what is going on - checked the tracking info – they got my package. I called them again they couldn’t find the package (2 weeks after they got one!) and offered me to call next week! On the next week they finally found the package after I told my story third time to the same person. She promised to send replacement “sometimes on this week”. Again I called on the next week to check did they send replacement – of course they didn’t - got promise to send replacement “this day” – at this moment I lost my temper told what do I think about the way they are doing business and requested refund.

Bottom line: if you need something on time and without hassles – stay away from this company. Their prices are good besides that nothing else is good there! Their customer service is pathetic and totally helpless, communication is troubled and unpleasant. They just lost my business forever.

"I ordered a DVI-D Cable from them as I found a good price on Pricewatch. The price of the cable was accurate however Pricewatch had free shipping listed. The company's site said it was another $9.00 for shipping. In the order notes, I indicated that pricewatch said free shipping, and they then adjusted the price to $4 more than the advertised price on their website. Their response was prompt, the item was correct, and it arrived in about three days after ordering. I didn't have any problems and it was a very smooth process."

"I purchased a cable they advertised on Pricewatch for $4.50 with free shipping. I even put a note in the order: found on pricewatch with free shipping; if you don't honor it, please don't charge the card.

They sent receipt for $4.50, then charged $7.00. When I contacted them, they said that they advertise for $7.00 with free shipping. The fact that even today on Pricewatch it's $5.00 did not convince them. The fact that I put the note "don't charge if..." did not convince them.

" I was reluctant to deal with CableClub after
reading reviews here, but their prices were
excellent. I called them and was assured there
would be no hidden charges (as others have
suggested). I was hoping to place an order over
the phone, but they won't do that. I placed an
order on 5/23 for an Ultra-320 SCSI cable and three
SCA adapters. They sent an order confirmation a
few hours later. A few hours after that, I was
sent the tracking number as it had already been
shipped! The ONLY dissatisfaction was that it
took FED EX a week and a half to get it from the
west coast to the east coast.

I am very satisfied with the quality of the
components I received and am extremely impressed
with the prices!

"I was very disappointed in my dealings with Cable Club. I found them through pricewatch as they were they cheapest with shipping for the cables I needed. I then placed my order on April 5th (Saturday) using Fed Ex Ground (2 day in my area from them) and they added like $10 for shipping. Even though it wasn't as described on PriceWatch I didn't mind as the cables were much cheaper than I could find locally.

I called them on Wednesday 4/9 to see the status of my order as it was still in pending status as it should have easily shipped by then. The lady on the phone told me there was nothing wrong with my account and the order was going to be shipping today. I then asked her for a tracking number and she said that it would be updated on the website the next day.

Saturday 4/12 I still hadn't received my order or a confirmation number so I attempted to call them. I really didn't expect them to be there but I was going to leave voice mail. The mailbox was FULL! That tells me that they are having a number of customer service related issues. I then looked on this website and saw the amount of bad responses.

I called today Monday 4/15 to find out that my 3 monitor cables we back ordered and the order wasn't going to be shipped for another week. If this was told to me prior on Wednesday I wouldn't have had a problem with it. I personally think that it is just an excuse and shows the disorganization of the company. I cancelled my order came back to Reseller Ratings and saw another vendor with a high rating and placed my order.

I will update on how that went. This is my second negative experience ordering computer parts online in the last two weeks. I am very disappointed. Back in the days when I would grab a computer shopping call a company get it in 2 or 3 days regular ground UPS I guess just can't be accomplished anymore. What a shame.

"I ordered a 2.5" to 3.5" hard drive adapter from these guys. The adapter was only 4.99 which is a fair price. Then I got the shipping and handling charges:

Residential Delivery: $ 1.50
Shipping & Handling: $ 6.35
Tax: $ 0
Total: $ 12.85

These guys use very misleading shipping rates on Pricewatch and on their own website. BEWARE.

On the positve note, I did receive the adapter 4 days later, packaged well. It worked as promised.

"I ordered 7 cables after finding this reseller via pricewatch, with the cables being a mixture of rounded ide and floppy cables. Everything seemed fine until I arrived at the totals. For $47.50 worth of cables, they wanted $38.00 of shipping. These cables plus the box could not have weighed more than 5-7 pounds. Needless to say, my business was taken elsewhere. In conclusion, decent prices are negated by the extreme shipping costs, which defeats the purpose of trying to use this reseller. Take your business elsewhere, where your shipping totals more accuratly indicate what it costs the reseller to ship the products.

Also, as another poster mentioned, their "Order Status" page is bogus. All order numbers bring up the same generic message about your order being processed.

"Here is the good

- QUALITY component at affordable prices.

Here is the bad

- Misleading shipping prices, not higher than others, just misleading.

- No automated buying confirmation, if you order over the weekend, you'll get an invoice monday

- The order status script always says "processing order, come back later" no mattter what number you type in !

"Thank you resellerratings!

This is pretty much a ditto to the experiences below. Was gonna order based on pricewatch info, got to the final check out screen and blam!
$6 shipping (vs. $1 listed on pricewatch)
$1.50 'residential delivery' charge to the office building where i work and finally..
$2.50 handling charge.

Taking the total to $17.25 for 1 cable.

Yikes!

"I was about to order from these people because of the great deal they were advertising on pricewatch: 2.00 for a usb extension cord and only 1.99 for shipping! But when I went to check out, the shipping was 3.75, there was a 2.50 'handling charge' and another 1.63 thrown in for some reason! Beware!"

"Buyer beware! I placed an order when I saw their special price on 50' Cat 5 ethernet cables on Pricewatch (under the name Cable Specialist & Manufacturer Inc). I had to call by phone to receive the special price. When I asked for the total, the lady said she couldn't give me the total yet because they were going to ship "tomorrow". I left it at that since I had chosen FedEx Ground, so it couldn't come out to be too much.

Well, the s/h charges came out to be $11.50 for a 3 lb. small box. When I called to find out why so much, about $8 of that was FedEx ($5.15 freight + $2.85 in AOD and residential Ground) but they added their own $3.50 "warehouse" charge! They never informed me of this at the time of order; she said that I should've asked during my order (which you remember, I did). Maybe if I'd asked about their hidden warehouse charge... gee let me make that a habit from now on.
