"We enjoy our son's current teachers. It's clear that his teachers enjoy him. There has been regular turn over and the prior director was not a good communicator with parents. Rotating room closures have been difficult to manage."

"My ONLY complaint, is that the director here is NOT friendly or engaging. It was made VERY clear to me, after rushing around like crazy to get there on Christmas eve, that 'my daughter 'was last' to get picked up. She's made a couple of other 'snarky' comments to me. She is VERY unapproachable. If I had any issue I would probably ask to speak with her manager, she is so off-putting and I would be dismissed if I did have any issue. Though turn over has been better, she is not very nice or welcoming to parents. She's very arrogant. I do think the person at the front desk should be welcoming and greet parents. I also wish communication was better. Recieved no notice of Black Friday closure. And only a few weeks notice about the reduced hours for Christmas eve and New Years Eve, closing at 3pm on those days....NOT helpful at all. This said, the teachers for my daughters class are INCREDIBLE!!! So kind, engaging, friendly, warm and nurturing. They are just perfect!!! If it was not for the teachers at this school, we would have been gone after the new director came."

"It's fine for what it is, and we haven't been able to find anything better with availability in the meantime. Friends of ours have infants in daycare full time and have not had similar issues with germs, feeding, screaming, etc, but we have not been able to move."

"We have been with Penfield since April and there have been times I have questioned staying here, but, as we have settled in and with new management, things are really turning around. Childtime is the BEST Childcare center in this area. I strongly believe that. We transferred from Henrietta. So, this is the second sight we have been to. I hope you value your employees as much as they love and care for our children!! Staff truly seems to love and enjoy the children they care for!! Such a great nurturing learning environment. I know my daughter is safe and cared for every day and that is priceless!!!"

"Our experience has been good. The cost of daycare is a shock to new parents. But if the child’s experience and management of the staff, programs, and facility is high then I feel like I’m getting good value. Most important is high quality teachers in the room that provide nurture, education, attention, and create a personal relationship with my child. A director’s job should be made easier with quality, dedicated teachers. I think the staff at Childtime Penfield meet most of my highest expectations. "I love the staff here. They all know my son by name and talk to him if he walks by, they all greet you or say goodbye to you. My son always says “I had a good day today” and loves to talk about what he learned. The most important thing is that I know it’s not just strict curriculum, I can see the teachers truly love kids and I know he is getting a lot of love and affection while growing his brain. He can’t wait to “go be with his friends” every morning it makes it nice to not have to battle getting him out the door :)"

"We love how they keep you in the loop throughout the day between the pictures, updates and messages. It makes leaving our girls a little easier as we feel like we're still involved in their lives. They are friendly, energetic, trustworthy, honest and professional. Our girls are always excited to go to "school." They are far superior to our previous daycare where we had horrible experiences and our daughter cried every day as we drove there and dropped her off."

"The teachers are generally great. Specifically Jess, Lilly, Deb, and Maddie. However, there are staffing issues where I’m not able to talk to the person that’s actually taking care of my daughter. It’s currently better, but previously the main caregiver worked after I dropped my child off and left before we picked her up. So we’d rarely get any face to face time. I had to ask the director and assistant who was actually caring for my child around Christmas so that I could buy them presents, because I literally had no clue who was responsible at the time! It seemed that the director and assistant couldn’t give the most straight answer either. Mostly due to being understaffed. I would feel much more confident if the teacher were paid a living wage with benefits and time off. I’d feel they enjoy their jobs then and turnover would be less. It’s insane that these teachers are not receiving benefits!!!"
