We understand the center is closed for holidays but sometimes they also close the day after which means one parent now has to take a day off work but we still have to pay our full weekly rate along with not getting paid at work. I wish if the school were making this decision we would be able to be refunded for the day outside the holiday that the school will be closed."

"We would NEVER in good conscience leave any child in ChildTime’s care. Corporate’s policies are negligent and deceitful. The Director, Melissa Smith’s, behavior endangered the safety and well-being of children while also causing emotional and psychological trauma to our child. Teachers – despite their best efforts - are not given the training and support they need to succeed or work effectively with the children in their care. Classrooms routinely exceed teacher-student ratio requirements. Teacher and student assignments are constantly shuffled around preventing the formation of meaningful relationship bonds between children and their caregiver(s). And Social Services licensing policies are regularly ignored – including even the simple requirement of communicating honestly with parents about a child’s well-being, development and behavior. We have spoken with other parents at ChildTime who have experienced similar issues while their child(ren) was in ChildTime’s care, and who are now going through psychological and developmental intervention, counseling and training to reverse the damage done by ChildTime’s incompetence and negligence. We have had extensive conversations with various sources (parents, teachers, counselors, doctors, etc.) who – when we mention our child’s behavioral and emotional problems began to manifest while enrolled at ChildTime – ALL respond with a knowing “Oh.” It is apparent that ChildTime’s failures and incompetence are well-known throughout the industry and time has only made them worse."

"My 5 year old needed extra attention and the staff could not comply. Instead of getting his needs met he (a 5 year old!) was met with hostility and overt anger from staff. My 4 month old was apparently too much to handle as well! We had to provide the school with extra doctor's notes and pick her up early several times because she spit up "too much." Several times I came into the school and they were above ratio. We finally ended up pulling her out without a new school.
I beg people not to trust these people with your children. "

"This school has a very high turnover rate of staff, there is a lack of communication between staff members, too large of an age range in the school-age room which leads to rough housing (which is allowed!), they didn't stick to the activities schedule for spring break, we haven't been able to see the teachers outside at times, I've been told that I owe different amounts of money each week by different people, and the teachers have yelled at me about things that have happened in the classroom which I have no control over! We have been on a waiting list to get enrolled in another daycare since two weeks after being at Childtime... We cannot wait to be out of there."

"Management lacks communication with parents. Teachers observed using inappropriate physical force and contact with children and we're still allowed to work. Teachers constantly being left over ratio. See Department of Social Services website for Licensing violations (which include teacher's abusive tendencies that were observed)...."
