"The teachers are friendly to parents and they are trying to listen to our concerns but curriculum is not good at all"

"Overall, the staff are very friendly and very caring. There are a few staff members that have said and done things that concern me (which seemed to have been rectified). The director takes things very seriously and does a fantastic job. Areas of concern include numerous staff changes and no communication about the change of any teacher assistants. There is some communication about the change in teachers but it is often very little notice, if at all. We drop our children off on some mornings and don't know anyone of the staff members in the room which is upsetting to our children and very stressful for us. Also- when we signed up to attend here, there was a specific statement about the students being given a fresh fruit and vegetable every day, along with whole grain or whole wheat instead of white. Our children often have applesauce, corn and peaches (in syrup). None of this is considered a fresh fruit or vegetable. It also states in the handbook that parties for special occasions will not allow for numerous sugar or unhealthy treats, but the menu always consists of pizza, cupcakes, chocolate milk, fruit snacks and cookies. The kids often have things for afternoon snack that offer no nutritional value at all, such as rice cakes, vanilla wafers and cookies. On Precious Status, we receive numerous updates and pics of the lessons our oldest participated in through the day but for our other child, we only receive notification of food, nap and bathroom activity with a very occasional picture. We have no idea of what's going on in that room all day. The only way we find out is if we ask at the end of the day at pick up. Lastly, our children go outside irregularly as well. Our oldest often goes outside, honoring the 20 degree or high rule and our youngest very rarely goes outside with numerous excuses about why. Overall, we love the staff and there are teachers there that are untouchable and amazing. However, these things are the areas where we see room for improvement."

My youngest has had consistent staff in her class since she started there and it has helped her adjust to day care life. However, my oldest has had constant turnover in all of his classes through the years and has struggled because of it. I understand the nature of day care staff to be inconsistent, but it was hard to cope with especially when there was no communication on who the new staff is. There were and are still times at drop off where I am leaving the care of my child to staff of which I do not know there names nor were we told of any changes. If I was told of change, its was by word of mouth. This has been hard on my child and we still struggle at drop off because of it. We have communicated this to the director and I've noticed that they have been doing more to announce new staff by posting their names and pictures in common areas and on class room doors. However, I believe that parents should be notified by at least an email or letter introducing new staff so us parents can prep our kids about who their new mentors are and what they look like so they do not appear as strangers."

"Enrolling my daughter in Childtime has been the best decision I have made in her development. I truly believe the teachers care about my child and want to make her feel comfortable and welcome and at 2 that is the most important thing to me. I am confident that when I drop her off, even if it is a rough morning and she does not want me to leave, she will be laughing and smiling within a few minutes of me leaving. I appreciate the precious status pictures and updates as well. They make my nervousness disappear."

"I absolutely loved this school and it broke my heart to remove my son. He clearly loved the teachers because when I dropped him off, he would be content. When I picked him up he always seemed happy and he always smiled at the teachers. The teachers and directors were so kind and amazing. The sole reason we left was because a spot at our work's daycare opened up which meant less time commuting for us and less ours in daycare for our son. Otherwise I would never have left this school! It truly was such a nurturing, loving place."
