"Hello I ordered a fairly expensive rug from CSN Rugs. I vacuum about every two weeks; after about 3rd vacuuming I noticed 1) a wear pattern on rug in high foot traffic areas (after 6 weeks?!) and 2) an inordinate amount of fibers being vacuumed out of the rug each time I vacuumed. I thought 1st vacuum or two it was just rug newness, but clearly after 3rd vacuuming there was a problem. The rug is poorly made and sheds fibers constantly that accumulate around the bottoms of all of the legs of furniture in the vicinity, as well as contributing to dust on all surfaces in my living room.

When I brought this to attention of CSN Rugs customer serve, they first tried to explain this was just do to newness of rug and that it needed to be broken in (clearly ridiculous); then when I rejected that indicated that since this was a unique oriental rug, it was typical behavior for a hand-made rug (again, patently ridiculous, and also shot down by an independent rug dealer I questioned on the subject); and finally said too bad, I was past my 30 day return period anyway (it takes more than 30 days of use for poor quality and workmanship like this to manifest itself).

So final result: I have a near worthless rug and am out ~$900. As far as I am concerned, I was scammed. So just two words you need to be aware of when dealing with CSN Rugs: Caveat Emptor!

"My experience with CSN Rugs was excellent. I had a few problems and they resolved them ALL 100%. I ordered my 5 x 8 area rug close to the holidays. I purchased it online, and when I clicked submit on my order I receieved an error message telling me that my order did not process due to heavy internet traffic. I was slightly annoyed, but I backtracked and went through the steps to checkout again. This time my order was successful. I didn't think much more about it until later that day when I checked my email. I received 2 emails from CSN with 2 different order numbers. I realized that my first attempt at ordering WAS successful, and it appeared that I ordered the same rug twice. I immediately visited CSN's website and requested to cancel the first order. I received an email saying that my cancellation request was being reviewed, and that I would be notified when it was accepted. The next day I was notified that my first order was cancelled. The day after that I received a refund of my paypal payment. Approximately 2 days later I received a Fed Ex delivery of TWO identical rugs. I was pretty annoyed! I called CSN and explained the whole situation. I can tell you that I have been in customer service for over 10 years, and if I have learned anything it is that every company makes mistakes. It is what they do to rectify their mistakes that MATTERS MOST. The gentleman on the phone told me that indeed my first order had been cancelled, and it was their mistake that they shipped me two rugs. He asked me if I wanted to keep them both, since it was their mistake. He said they could pick up one of the rugs if I preferred, but again suggested that I keep them both. Talk about fabulous customer service. I asked him "are you sure? I won't be charged for keeping both rugs?" He assuremed me I would not be charged. I thanked him for giving me a wonderful Christmas present! I participating in a survey as my phone call ended. I was asked "was your problem resolved 100% during this phone call," and my answer is a resounding YES. Kudos to CSN for putting serving customers first!! "

"I love this runner! I have a long hallway leading to my home office and it receives a fair amount of foot traffic. Even though this rug is indoor/outdoor, you'd never know it. It is very chic and fits it beutifully with my modern decor. I ordered two, and I wouldn't hesitate to order them again."

"I had purchased the Angela Adams Freddy Indigo rug with great expectations since I had was extremely satisfied with my previous Angela Adams rug that I had also purchased at CSN. This rug was missing the softness and plushness of the other rug. What I do like about both rugs is that they are recyclable which is good in this day. I am returning the Freddy Indigo rug though. I need something softer for my son's room."

"CSN “In-stock” rug shipment delayed twice, 40 days late.

When I shopped for this rug on April 7, 2010, the inventory status shown on the CSN web site was unclear, neither "in stock" nor "out of stock". Because of this, I telephoned CSN customer service to find out if the rug was in stock. The customer service agent said the supplier thinks it is in stock, and he (CSN) will call me back when the supplier verifies for certain that it is in stock. That evening he called back and said that the rug I wanted was in stock and it would ship in two days. I placed the order on the CSN web site that same evening.

On April 12th I received an email from CSN informing me that, unfortunately, the shipment would be delayed until April 30. Since I was very unhappy about the delay after receiving assurance from CSN that the rug was in stock, I called customer service again. The customer service agent said she would see if she could do anything to expedite my order, and she would contact me with the results. I never heard from her again.

On May 3rd, the next business day after the delayed ship date of April 30, I received emails informing me that CSN was checking the status and that the ship date would now be delayed further to May 18.

The May 18 ship date was unacceptable. I cancelled my order. The merchant confirmed the cancellation and did not charge my credit card.

"The website showed the products as available and 10 days later when I called, I was told the product is on back order and it would take 2 more months to receive it. I told the representative, I can wait for 2 more months if you can guarantee that you will ship it within the two months time frame. He assured me it would be shipped in two months. Two months later and I call, I am told that they need 3 more weeks to ship it and God knows whether it will ship in 3 weeks or not. Overall horrible experience. It should not take 4 months to order a rug that is if I receive it. Avoid!"

"On Feb 22 I placed Order# 4507335 for A $140 BLACK / WHITE MAJESTIC RUG (AB-62). NINE DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A BEIGE AND BLACK $140 RUG; I IMMEDIATELY SENT PICTURES TO STUDENT MARKET AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE "WORKED ON." IT TOOK 3 BUSINESS DAYS (5 NORMAL DAYS TO ME AND YOU) OF THEM "WORKING ON IT" TO DISTINGUISH IT AS INDEED A BEIGE RUG. WHEN I OPENED THE PACKAGE I COULD TELL IN THE FIRST MOMENT IT WAS BEIGE AND NOT THE WHITE I HAD ORDERED.

NEXT PROCESS I GET AND E-MAIL SAYING A REPLACEMENT WILL ARRIVE IN 3 WEEKS! I CALL AND TALK TO DAVE WHO SAYS THAT IS A "GENERIC" E-MAIL. HE SAYS INSTEAD OF REPLACEMENT (WHICH AT THIS POINT I DO NOT WANT) THE RUG WILL BE PICKED UP FOR A REFUND..........WITHIN 3 WEEKS!!!!!!! HE SAYS THIS 3 WEEK TIME FRAME IS FROM THE CARRIER (BS). THE CARRIER DOES NOT CONTROL THE DAY OF PICKUP THE SHIPPER DOES. AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO FIRM DATE SO IT COULD VERY WELL TAKE 3 WEEKS TO PICK UP WITH ERROR OF RUG THEY SENT.

INTERSTINGLY ENOUGH IT TAKE THEM LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO CHARGE MY CARD, LESS THAN 72 HOURS TO SEND THE RUG AND LESS THAN 9 DAYS FOR THE RUG TO BE IN MY POSSESION. COMPARE THIS WITH THE 3 WEEKS IT TAKES JUST TO PICKUP MY RUG. USING THIS TIME FRAME I EXPECT TO RECEIVE A REFUND OVER A MONTHS TIME SINCE I REQUESTED IT.

THESE PRACTICES ARE UNSCRUPULOUS AND THE SERVICE IS NO WHERE NEAR THE PAR I EXPECTED.


THE ITEMS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE ARE -----GROSSLY MISREPRESENTED--- AND DO NO ACCURATELY PORTRAY THE ITEMS YOU ARE BUYING.

"At the time of my online order on December 21st, they said that I should have it by December 27th. Today is December 30th and when I inquired about the item, they are telling me that the item is in stock but they won't be able to ship it at least until January 3rd. I am very unhappy with this seller and their lies on shipping estimates.

UPDATE: Today is January 4th and I called them to check the status of my order because I have net heard anything from them. The sales person said that they haven't shipped it and to call them back on Monday the 7th. I asked then to cancel my order. Looks like these people operate under many different names and don't have anything in stock. Looks like they are the middle men and do only drop shipments. I will never buy from these CSN*.* line of companies any more.
