Purchased an in stock item only for it to be cancelled and up-charged $200+

"I purchased a new Apple Watch Ultra 2 which was listed as “In Stock”. It wasn’t even low enough on stock to say how many were left, because there were many. A few days go by and I check on my order, it shows my order number but estimated ship date is unavailable. I call CDW and after 40 minutes of being on hold multiple times and transferred, they tell me the item is out of stock. However, the same model ending in LLA is still available only in different colored bands if I’m willing to pay $200+ more than what I had originally ordered it at. They would not honor my original price. They have lost a customer due to bad business, selling products they don’t have, then trying to upcharge for them instead of honoring a purchase agreement. "

Terrible return policy and appalling product descriptions

"I was looking for a specific power cord and found one on CDW with the PSW number. No photo to confirm and no description. I ordered and received a two pronged figure 8 cord within 2 brown envelopes. I needed a barrel power cable. Because I only shipped back the inner envelope and invoice I didn't return the outer envelope. Avoid at all costs. I would understand if the packaging was necessary for the product but this was a standard brown shipping envelope. "

"Ship Same Day" is a joke (or outright lie)!

"Ordered "Ship Same Day" Laptop on Friday. Was an urgent need, so was glad to find "Ship Same Day" Option. Since it was Friday, Figured it may ship Monday, which was fine.

Did NOT ship on Monday, so Contacted (Chat, Call & Text) to find out why it still had not shipped the following TUESDAY. Was told "We need to contact someone, we will let you know in 24 hours" ... Again, this was an urgent need.

After hearing Nothing for 24 hours, contacted again, and it was basically "We don't know anything".

Fast forward to the Next FRIDAY after ordering, still no update, and they can't provide ANY USEFUL Information.

So I ask to CANCEL the order, so I can order it from someone REPUTABLE, and they say "Sorry, we have to check with the 'supplier' to see if can cancel it" ... So now in Limbo, since I don't want 2 of them.

Worst Customer Experience Ever. There should be an option for ZERO stars!

"Ship Same Day" is a joke (or outright lie)!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

Not The Easy Experience I Expected

"I thought CDW was a trustworthy online merchant that could really execute, until my most recent order. I ordered a new laptop to be a birthday present, two weeks before it was needed. The site indicated that the laptop was in stock and would be delivered in about 3 days. Well, nine days later they send me a backorder notification. But here's the kicker: the site still showed the laptop as in-stock and delivery in 3 days. So I fired off an email; there was never an answer, but shortly afterward I got a shipment notification. If I hadn't fired off the email, I'd probably still be waiting. Poor execution!"

"The worst electronics seller I've ever used. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away.

Highlights:
-Waited over 8 months for an order, while I received 2+ emails about price increases on the item. When I called to complain, I was met with unprofessional sass.
-Order ended up being COMPLETELY CANCELLED AFTER 8 MONTHS, because 8 MONTHS AFTER THE ORDER I was told there was a problem "validating my card," the card I have used for dozens of orders. Speechless.
-"Brandon" in "National Account Manager, Sales," cancelled my order with no warning and no response to my inquiry.

These people are no better than charlatans operating out of their garage. Avoid them completely. Never order from them. You have been warned.

Didn't ship them blamed UPS

"Ordered an in stock item (Dell monitor). THey showed it would ship 5/14. They generated a UPS label on 5/16, but did not ship it until near midnight on 5/19. During that time I called to check on it, and was told it was a "UPS update problem, it had shipped". Yet from 5/20 on UPS detail scans were normal, showing it moving from the origin. They simply sat on the order for almost 4 days, or almost 6 days from their promise. They promised a reply when they checked on it when I called -- no reply was ever received. The product arrived and was correct, though the box had been previously opened and looked like it was possibly a customer return; definitely not sealed from factory."

Even when I begged to buy they couldn't get around to selling it to me

"Our company's software was expiring and our IT professional asked that we purchase the renewal from CDW. I contacted a saled rep who sent me over a quote. When I called and emailed to purchase, the phone line (a 1-800) line was busy. No one picked up. The sales rep didn't reply for over a week either. Finally I found a back door phone number that worked and got another salesperson to help. He needed a PO so I sent over our PO#. Then I heard that they might not be able to accept just the PO# but needed the actual PO sent. The salerep said he would escalate the request and get back to me. No one got back to me. Then about a week later I had an actual PO created and sent to both of the salesreps I was working with. One responded saying that they had to release a credit hold on our company because we hadn't purchased from them before. He said it takes usually 48 hours. After another 4 days of nothing, I responded and they finally said, yes they could place the order. I confirmed again a few days later that the order was placed and was told they are just awaiting the license #. Then NOTHING. Finally our software expired and the company the software is with called us to renew directly with them. We paid them LESS than what CDW was charging us and at this point it is almost 1 month later and still NO LICENSES?! Which is all well and good because we don't need to copies of this software. I'll never do business with CDW again and hope all will follow my lead. Ridiculous!"

TERRIBLE SERVICE

"They charged me about $1,000 for an item that showed in-stock. When I checked days later, it showed as back-ordered with no estimated ship date. I waited for half an hour to chat with a representative, asked to cancel my order, and the representative was terse and robotic. With all the other options available on the internet, don't waste your time with this company."

Had to cancel multiple orders for delays. Wish this could be ZERO stars.

"We have had to cancel multiple orders due to ordering parts that were "in stock" just to find out they were being drop shipped in a month. Contacted customer support closer to the arrival date and they had been delayed further. Terrible place to order from. "

Worst Company Ever

"Look at all the other reviews, this company says that items are in stock on their webpage, but it's a LIE. I ordered a PSU 15 days ago, and they haven't sent a single email notification, they just keep my money and every day I call to check on it, and they say it will ship in a couple days... That's their business model, to show items in stock, that other sites are out of. I paid more for this one because I didn't want to wait 2 weeks, but of course I got scammed, and now I have to go order somewhere else. "
