"I ordered twelve 40 oz. bottles of Ortho Weed-B-Gon Max Concentrate on 6/29/08. On 7/2/08, I queried them about the status of the order and received an e-mail response within 2 hours. The order was sent quickly and I got it on 7/2/08.

So far so good... But read on!

When I opened the box, there were only 10 bottles of product, one of which, became uncapped and completely leaked out over the other bottles. WHAT A MESS!

I queried them again yesterday thru their "Contact Us" box on the website about this problem and have not yet heard back.

Moral of the story...

Before ordering anything online, check that the seller provides a contact phone number and street address of their place of business. Otherwise, you will be completely at their mercy and may as well be "barking at the moon" trying to contact them about an order problem.

I hope they contact me soon, otherwise I will take other steps.

----- UPDATE -----

I was contacted by BuyHardwareSupplies.com on 7/7/08 with a very apologetic e-mail indicating that they would talk to the warehouse manager about this problem and that I ould be receiving a replacement right away.

On 7/10/08, I received a full factory sealed case of 12 new bottles of Weed-B-Gon! In my mind, this more than makes up for the "mess" I first received. In effect, I got 9 bottles free for my trouble.

I will most likely order from them again.

"I used the E-Mail comment box to verify a part description, but never received a reply. I placed an order and received a E-Mail invoice number soon after. The invoice did not include any shipping numbers so several days later I filled out another request for shipping info. It is now the 25th and I have no idea where my material has gone or hasen.t been shipped. I am not sure where the 5 star rating came from but youi can be sure my rating would be much lower. "

"I ordered some joist and joist nails from them on the 15th.
I have left several messages using their feedback on their websight but still haven't heard a word from them. They need to do better with replys
Most likely will not order from them again.

"Bought 3 rolls of Gila privacy window film, & accessories for my home theater. Shipped and charged same day. well packed, exactly as described items.

I got an order confermation email shortly after ordering (on a Friday afternoon), stating that my card had been charged, but did not mention any ship date.

So I shot an email off to them, on Saturday, asking for status. Got a reply to that email early Monday morning saying that

"Checking the status of an order is a feature we are currently working on implementing. The reason your card was charged on 5/19 is because we ship our orders immediately. In your case, it shipped the very same day. You're scheduled to receive your order tomorrow:

So even though I would have liked to get a status without asking, or at least be able to check status on their web site (which they say they are working on getting), a speedy reply to my email, with all needed info, is almost as good, (and pretty darn rare).

So if you want to buy something from them, just ask for status, if you need it.
They have great prices and a wide selection, and hopefully, soon, a way to track your order.
