"BUY.COM STAY AWAY.. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I placed an order for a LG AN-WF100 Wi-Fi USB Adaptor on NOV, 28 2011
In the Confirmation it said the product would be shipped in 2-4 day. I figured it would take longer because of the holidays but I never thought, I would have to call the 3 time, only to be told to call another site(ELECTRONIC EXPRESS.COM). 2 times I was told the product is on back order and it is “coming in this week” (dec, 6th) and would ship the following week (Dec,12). I did’nt complain, I stayed claim. I thought, as long as I get it before Christmas, cool. But NO I got a email on DEC, 21 2011. “WE ARE CONFIRMING THAT THE SELLER ELECTRONIC EXPRESS OF YOUR BUY.COM MARKETPLACE ORDER HAS CANCELLED THE FOLLOWING ITEM --bla bla--- WOW... AGAIN TOTAL WASTE OF TIME …. ZERO STARS

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!!!!!!!! Order placed on December 9 for a present. Check progress online daily, kept saying processing. Called customer service on Dec 23 to check on status and they said that it will be delivered between Dec 21 and Dec 26. Told me to contact the shipper "Mambay", who the heck is Mambay, I bought it from you, you should check with Mambay and try to take care of the customer. That fell on deaf ears. Asked that they cancel the order and they said that it would take another business day. This place is a joke. I wish there were a place to enter zero stars."

"Placed my order on 12/05. Charged my credit card. Checked the status of my order on 12/15. My order status was "Processing". Called and they said the contacted me on 12/06 and could not ship due to an address issue with my credit card. Never got the call, no email update or follow up calls. Fixed the address issue with my credit card on 12/15. Called every day with no change in order status. Finally asked to speak to a manager to get this resolved and shipped. Within 1 hour of speak with a manager my order $2500 was cancelled."

"Buyer beware, do not order from this website. The customer service is HORRIBLE. They wouldn't ship my item in time for Christmas due to their own fault, and when I sent an email to the "customer support" team to tell them to cancel my purchase if they wouldn't upgrade my shipping to expedited, they never responded. All I got was a bot email saying it'd been canceled. No response from a live person trying to work with me for a solution or even an apology for their incompetence. Save yourself the headache and buy from Amazon instead. At least you know they're legit."

"I only buy things from Buy.com occasionally, but I have been a customer since the year 2000. I have not had any negative experiences through them in all those years. In fact I often find their shipments on my purchases are prompt and often arrive earlier than promised and expected. I have also made purchases through Buy.com Marketplace shops and not been burned yet.

Probably most of the items I purchase through Buy.com are things that catch my attention in the daily email bargains I receive. It's typically those one or two items out of a hundred that jump out at me as a really good bargain that I end up jumping on. I also find that in general Buy.com prices are competitive with other outlets even when they are not items being specially priced for a limited time.

My purchases from Buy.com have been everything from computer network equipment (new and refurbished) to DVD movies, to tools. Overall I give Buy.com a thumbs up as providing good value for my money.

"This is the worst site to conduct business. I tried to open a marketplace seller account, and Buy.com disabled the seller account the following day. I had not used the account. They do not have a phone number where sellers can call the marketplace department. I sent an email to their marketplace department, and they have yet to respond. I read an article stating that Buy.com wants to compete with Amazon. However, this level of sheer gross incompetence along with their severe lack of communication and consequent inefficiency are all prime elements for failure."

"This is one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. First they sent me a cheap Chinese version of what I really ordered. They don't speak English very well at all. They pretty much only know what they see on the computer. I asked them to refund me by a check 3 times and the guy confirmed that. It was still sent back to the card that I told them not to send it to because the account was closed. THis has been an ongoing problem for months"

"i placed an order on the 25th of November buy .com never process my order untill on 28th of November then the seller which is Electronics expo finally said they are out stock meanwhile they collected my money never but never ship me my sound system. i keept calling buy.com and no one could give me an answer most of the bearly speak English this company is in philipins.till today which is 5th of December i have not recieved my money back or the machandise. please do not buy anything from this guy i will not let my friends and family even my enemy to do business with guys electronics expo are in a colaboration with this guys."

"HA! Crazy seein so many bad reviews. I have bought for my business and personal reasons and never been let down once. Had around 6 orders and not one issue.
They have a great rewards program too- bought so much from them that my last order was around $40 but only ended up costing me 4 bucks because I had a couple thousand rewards bucks.

"Ordered in a Best Buy store when they were out of stock of what I needed.

Buy.com sent the wrong product, and in store personnel at Best Buy would have nothing to do with me, or help me out in any way.

Customer service refused to exchange item and I'm stuck shipping item back and reordering online.

If you like spending a LONG time on the phone, lost in corporate voicemail, then order away by all means. Otherwise, AVOID at all costs.

"I have had very decent service from Buy.com. I have been using them for years and bought over 150 times from them. All-in-all they have had good prices and fast turn around on the order. I always use the free shipping and it comes about the same time as the paid shipping.

"Do not Purchase anything from BUY.COM or ( LEGEND MICRO ) If you place an order you can't cancel it. They tell you to deal with a reseler and they don't answer your e mails or phone calls. Buy.com will not make any adjustment or cancel the order. I Placed an order and pushed the wrong item and when I went to cancel item I was told it is to late the order was being processed. This was a few minutes after the order was placed. I am now waiting for the item to come so that I can refuse it and then have to deal with the charge card people.This is nothing but a big runaround so they can sell you the item. Order from AMAZON they are the best.

After writing this review the next day Bid.com did get my order canceled. Wish they would have done it from the start. I guess better late than never.

"I'm pretty sure I've ordered from Buy.com before and didn't have a problem. Unfortunately tonight I tried to order from them and they CANCELLED my order about 6 hours after it was placed due to an issue with my Paypal. Had I been told about the Paypal issue originally (which was my billing and shipping address weren't the same, which was something I forgot to update when I moved) I would have fixed it right away or at least paid a different way. I chatted with some customer service person who kept telling me I'd have to place the whole order again and they'd do nothing to compensate the 30 minutes it took me to even figure out what the problem was. I literally told them I was going with another vendor and they did nothing. I'm worried because the refund they promised has yet to appear on my credit card statement, but hopefully since I used Paypal I won't be stiffed."

"Buy.com has HORRIBLE customer service. I went to purchase a TV from them online and decided I wanted a different one than the one I had ordered originally. So I cancelled my original order within about 10 minutes or the purchase. After that I was showing pending charges on my Bank account for over $1200 from buy.com. I called my bank to have them remove the pending charges and they said they needed a fax from buy.com with certain information verifying the cancellation of the charges. So I started a conference call with my bank and buy.com customer service to make sure the bank would get the correct info. from the merchant. It was a Thursday night and buy.com said they didn't have anyone available to fax the info at the time. They would have to wait until the next day for a "specialist" to fax the info requested by the bank. I spoke to buy.com customer service the next day. They hadn't faxed the info to my bank yet and the ONLY thing they could do is apologize for the inconvenience. I informed them that I needed the $1200 for other pressing issues/needs and would like to speak to a supervisor to expedite the process of them sending a SIMPLE fax to my bank. The customer service rep said that no supervisor was available and it would take at least 1 business day to get a call back from a supervisor. Buy.com showed absolutely no interest in helping me out throughout all my interaction with them. It seemed like their main goal was to "sweet talk" me and get me off the phone ASAP, so they could make their money by the next call rolling in.

NOTE: I'm normally very laid back and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but buy.com was absolutely by far the worst customer service I have EVER dealt with. I would NEVER do business with them again.
