"When I placed an order for 10 bulbs for my car I never expected that I would not get them for nine days now and counting to get here. My order was placed on 4/20 and I went on the web to check my order on 4/22 and it said they had either been processed or shipped. On 4/27 I called to see where they were and I was told they were backed up because of the holiday (Easter). It is now 4/30 and I have no bulbs and my credit card has already been charged. I don't understand why it should take that long to send 10 bulbs. Buying on the internet is a gamble but if they want to stay in business they need to have better customer service, a better shipping department and maybe someone to watch over them all. I am very discusted with the whole process and will not order from them again!"

"I placed an order on 1/10/11 and received confirmation of order and shipping information for one week. When I didn't receive order by 1/26/11 I called company, only to be told they didn't have a portion of my product ordered. No email, no call, and no customer service."

"This place is a rip off and I am not sure how they are still legally in business. I purchased over $50.00 worth of bulbs for my kitchen that were guaranteed to last 10,000 hours. After less then half that time, 4 of the 8 bulbs are burnt out. I called and they said they only offered a 90 day warranty. It is a safe bet even terrible bulbs will last 90 days. This place is likely reselling used bulbs and ripping off the customer. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM."

"Got an automated email acknowledgment immediately. They charged my credit card $121.20 7 days later. No other communication from them and no light bulbs.
This happened during our busiest harvest season and I didn't realize that they weren't delivered until several weeks later. I was just now catching up on my bookkeeping and noticed the credit card charge. I called the number on the web site and the one on the credit card statement. Both times I got voice mail answered by the same person saying I must have called outside of regular hours or everyone was busy. Left message - so far no call back.
I guess I will have to dispute this charge with my credit card company.

"These people should not be doing business on the Internet. I used Google Checkout to order some bulbs from them almost two weeks ago. I have received nothing since then, not even an email. I have tried to get information on the status of my order, but their web site does not show the status of Google Checkout orders. Plus, BulbTown does not answer emails, nor do they answer the phone! But they are happy to take your money."

"WATCH OUT. This company has hidden fees they charge to your credit card once they have the cc number. Watch out also for issues with returns specifically. Ordered a couple bulbs, had massive issues with customer service, found random charges from company... total nightmare... shop elsewhere..."

"I had a very different experience from previous reviewer. I placed an order on October 30th for $50 worth of landscape bulbs, etc. Easy to place order. Paypal charged credit card immediately. 2 weeks later, the website listed order as still processing. 3 emails went unanswered. So, 3 weeks after ordering, I called and spoke to a very pleasant gentleman who informed me the bulbs were backordered (no emails telling me this or answering my 3 inquiries), and that my order would ship that day. Now 2 more weeks after that conversation (5 weeks after ordering) and still no bulbs. In fact, still listed as processing on web site. I just want them to cancel my order so I can order with someone else. Don't order from these folks. I have ordered from Light bulbs, etc and had a similar episode of an order being overlooked for a couple of weeks. However, one call, and they apologized, sent out the order ASAP, and refunded my shipping charge. I should have just stuck with them, I guess. I will not order from Bulbtown ever again. Beware. "

"Good experience - I ordered 4 Neptun CFL R30 lights. Initially I didn't get any order status update, but with a quick phone call to Mike (who answered after about 1 ring) @ bulbtown, he informed me that they had been out of stock and would ship within a couple days. A couple days later, I did receive a very well-packed box.

So - be aware that the inventory displayed on the site is not necessarily real-time, but the customer service was excellent! I will definitely be ordering from bulbtown again.
