"I have used budget mags in past with no problem. Ordered 9 magazines in June and Received 6. Got burned for the most expensive subscriptions. No response to e-mails and of course past time of disputing with credit card company. There are problems. Be Wary!! "

"I also have used this service without problems for several years and then three months ago I reordered two magazine subscriptions. One went through fine, the second, for 2 years of TV Guide never went through. I tried calling them and got a message their answering machine was full and not taking any more messages. I emailed them three times each a week apart and never received any reply so I reported the fraud to my credit card company for a refund which they are giving me. Good company turned bad."

"I order a magazine from the company and have not received it after more than four months. I have tried there customer service email but with no response. I suggest that you try another magazine service, they seem inconsistent in whether or not you will get your order. "

" I would suggest extreme caution in using this site. Although in the past it had been an excellent site, I most recently placed an order with them on 4/29/06 for renewal of three magazines. The first two went through, the third did not. I have emailed them numerous times over the last 2 1/2 months but have received no response, not even an automated one. (It is now October 5.) My last email incorporated a copy of my prior emails and plaintively asked "Is anyone there????" No answer.

When I later found their telephone number on their site, I tried calling it during the normal business hours reflected on their website. No one answered and all I received was a recorded voice identifying the telephone number and saying that the number's voicemail box was full and to call back later. (It didn't even identify the company.) Unfortunately, I suspect they have ceased responding to inquiries and, of course, it is way too late to get a refund through my credit card company.

Exercise extreme caution in using this site. For starters, I'd suggest that before you place an order, send them an email asking if they are still in business; if you don't receive a response, don't place the order. And even if you do, I'd suggest being very cautious--if there is any wrinkle to your order, you likely won't find out for 2-3 months (since they say to allow that much time for effecting the order), it will then be too late to dispute the charge with your credit card company and you'll be out the money.

"I ordered 2 subscriptions for a really low price. I bought 3 years of Discover magazine for $6.19/yr and 3 years of Popular Science for $4.19/yr.

It's been 4 months and I have been receiving my Discover magazine, but not my Popular Science. I've emailed and called BudgetMags repeatedly. The calls go to voicemail and the emails are not responded to.

Looks like I'll be disbuting this with my credit card.

"I ordered a magazine subscription on October 22, 2005, and my credit card was charged the next day or the day after. On the magazine's web site I got a persistent error message, so I sent an e-mail inquiry to the magazine. I received an e-mail reply telling me that the magazine had ceased publication.

I sent a copy of the e-mail from the magazine to budgetmags and requested that a credit be issued to my credit card. It has been three weeks and I have received no response from budgetmags and no credit. The magazine is still being offered on the budgetmags site on the front page under "Magazines just added."

The reviews of budgetmags.com consistently indicate that they do not reply to e-mail. My experience is consistent.
