Please Stay Away from H&H Brook Mays Music, They Will Rip you off your fund

"Rented a used Sax for my 6th grader son from their Katy TX office. The man told us the instrument worth $5K but we could rent a used one for 47 months and pay $51.95 per month and the total will be $2,441, I went for that. A friend visited us four months after and told us the brand new is just like $700 but I felt I am in the contract already and we will keep it. The payment was going on fine for 8 months until my bank changed my credit card and they could not charge me. They called it a Bridge of Contract and they will bill me an extra $550+ to continue the fraudulent contract or pay $2,199 to keep the instrument. So, I chose to return it and ended the contract.
When I returned the Sax today, they issued me an invoice, and the guy used a black marker to cover all the figures on the invoice, which confirmed my thought about them, they are scammers.

They received the Instrument and stole from me about $415.65 (I paid for the 8 months) plus $550+ to end the contract, all these for a used Sax that was only worth $400 or less. Their rep claimed to be a collector but never trust any collector from this company, they all work in H&H, and they will want to force you to pay at once or 3 times please don't fall for it, I wish I can pay it $1 per month..lol

I will never do business with them ever again. They ripped me off my hard-earned money, please run away from H&H Music. I would give no stars if I could. Anyway, I bought brand new Sax for my son today, the same model/brand for just $750 plus protections.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!! Do NOT buy from this company. You have been warned! :-)

"Purchased 4 levers for Roto Toms after trying to get my credit card to go through with their system on 12/3/2020. Placed the order. They had one in stock and the others were on back order! Denis Campos was my contact there. I had checked in many times on the whereabouts. He had no answers! No answers on when they are coming or if they are coming! The other day i contacted him again asking the status. on Friday March 19 2021. No idea when or if! I asked if he could just send me the one in stock and refund the rest of the money.... Apparently they didn't even have the one in stock or they sold it on me!!!! He said i can cancel the order. I said yes and please and how this was very disappointing! Haven't heard back from him on the refund. Reading other reviews i may have to go to my bank and do a charge back! When he said I could cancel the order, I think he meant cancel it and we still won’t refund your money! I haven’t heard from them! I assume these were coming from China and that's the only other place i had seen to get them so i ordered them from the same place he probably would have however it costs me a little more but will get them in a 4 months time as i have already waited for these!!!! The system is outdated and the company is crooked! Just DON'T DO IT!!!!! Do not buy from this company! Consider yourself warned!!!! Most of the reviews here speak for themselves!"

Smells Like A Scam - Brook Mays Music

"BUYER BEWARE: I ordered 10 stage lights from their website at $23.30ea that were showing as in-stock. I have the confirmation email, sales invoice, as well as my credit card company transaction of $233.00. After 6 days without a shipping confirmation, I checked the order status to find it has been CANCELLED without notice. I then see the product I ordered listed at a HIGHER PRICE of $29.95.

I asked for an explanation, and was told the order was cancelled due "no valid email address" (strange how they can still send the order confirmation via email), as well as the "product not being in stock" (clearly it was showing in stock or I wouldn't have been able to order). Brook Mays STILL has my money, and I am feeling that I have been a victim of a sales scam. DO NOT ORDER FROM BROOK MAYS, see all the other negative reviews!

"Sad to announce how disappointed I am with Brook Mays. I was very excited to finally be able to purchase a flute/piccolo stand for myself and for a great price PLUS free shipping. I ordered this item on a Thursday and at the checkout it says to make sure you only click the Purchase/Order button ONCE otherwise you could be charged multiple times for that same cart order. So, I took extra care not to press it twice and succeeded in only clicking once. At this point everything is going great, this is my first online purchase with my card and I'm more than ecstatic.. all I have to do is wait for it to come in. The weekend passes and it's Tuesday morning now. I check my bank account and notice that the money isn't right. I discovered that I had pending charges on the same exact order! I don't know why this happened, my first and only order that I ever clicked once on and never made another order or even looked at the cart was successfully charged a whole day earlier and now all of a sudden they are charging me again on a different day?? I hadn't even received my first and only package yet. Crazy! So I had to go to my bank and sort things out, as if everyone doesn't already have enough to do, and luckily since it was still pending they were able to fix the "mistake" that same day. Now, just a day later I checked my account again just to see if they refunded me yet.. not yet.. and I noticed that the extra charge has moved up a spot in front of an entirely different purchase that I made After this whole fiasco? I have I gut feeling that something still isn't right. What a HEADACHE! On the bright side I received my order later that Tuesday and everything was perfect besides the fact that it was apparently back ordered. Bless your soul whoever reads all of this. "

"Terrible customer service! They shipped the wrong item to me and wanted me to pay return shipping to receive a refund. Only after filing a claim did they agree to send a shipping tag, and still made me jump through hoops to get a refund for a piddly $5 item. Stay far, far away from this company!"

"Do not buy items off brooksmays.com EVER!!!

Absolutely horrible reseller!!! Although their prices may seem like the best, I urge you NOT TO USE THEM, EVER!!! Do some research and spend a little extra money unless you want to wait an unknown amount of time, until they decide to ship. I placed my order on June 28th 2011, and have barely received notice of shipment yesterday (7/21/11).

I understood some of the items I ordered were out of stock, understandable since the prices were so good. So I gave them a few WEEKS of leeway. But from my understanding they made no effort to ship the items in stock, until I contacted them about the whereabouts of my items.

They also baited and switched me one one item, and two items I purchased are out of stock, and I have no idea how long those will take.

Absolute worst internet reseller I've ever dealt with in 10 years of buying on the internet. The epitome of laziness in business.

My only recommendation in using this site, is to see if other retailers/resellers will price match.

Do not buy from brooksmays.com, you will only come away disappointed and probably infuriated.

"My 12 yr old ordered a sax stand. Although they use Fedex they did not supply tracking info so I didn't know there was a problem. Fedex shows delivered but we never received - we later learned it was delivered to a house at the end of the road that has been vacant for over 2 years. ITMT BM refused several requests from me to file a claim with Fedex for a missing package as per Fedex's suggestion and instead told us to file a police report and a claim with our insurance carrier. After a little prodding, a customer service rep contacted me via phone and was very polite, very friendly, and apologized for the difficulties and sent another sax stand out immediately. The following day the misdelivered stand was found and Brooks Mays sent me a return label.
Although it took a little pressure, I was in the end very satisfied with the final customer service response. The stand my son received was a nice stand, and a fair price. As a result, I would do business again with this company.

"Brook Mays practices "bait and switch". I ordered a Korg CA-30. They sent me a CA-1 with no notification. To this day they advertise thru Amazon that they have 12 each CA-30's "In Stock". I reached out to Brook Mays and they feel there is no problem sending out a comparable item. They did offer a refund and because I also filed an Amazon A-Z claim they accused me of wanting to keep the item as well as get a refund thru Amazon. DO NOT BUY FROM BROOK MAYS. "
