VERY POOR SERVICE - DO NOT TRUST

"They are cheaper than their competitors BUT this comes at the cost of the worse kind of customer service when things go wrong. DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY WITH THEM.
I bought a camera from them & took it on holiday whereupon it kept freezing. You cannot contact them by email or online form, which is against the Consumer Rights Act. Eventually I found I could contact them through Facebook Messenger but often they just ignored my messages.
As the camera was faulty & less than 30 days old, I requested a refund or brand-new replacement.
When I sent it back to them, they tried to state that there was no fault & would have to send it to Olympus for further testing, even though I had sent them photos & video evidence of the fault.
Eventually I got my money back via my credit card & Olympus apologised on their behalf though the whole process took several months to finalise.

Very Poor

"The retailer failed to supply items that were missing from a camera bundle, in spite of informing me at the time of purchase that the out of stock items (a third party battery) would be sent within two weeks or so. Over a month later the battery - that has been paid for as part of the bundle - is still not in stock and I am now short of a spare battery for a holiday. They could supply an original battery if I paid £25 more but have no intention of sending me that free of charge as a goodwill gesture for the delay in supply. Options offered were: send the whole bundle back (3 days before my holiday), pay for an original manufacturer battery or wait for the bundled battery to be delivered (the latter clearly after the start of the holiday). Don't expect promised call backs....they never do....at least not for me. They continue to offer the bundle deal even though they know they do not have the spare battery, and do not mention that it is not in stock on the website, so I could go online today and buy the same bundle and have the same problem. Very disappointing and on my experience I really couldn't recommend using them."

Rude staff. Cancel order but keeps money

"Order didn’t arrive. Turns out that they are out of stock. They didn’t notify of this and had I not phoned them they wouldn’t have agreed to a refund. V rude staff who don’t care that they are doing this. Don’t trust "

"I own a 35mm SLR, which I use to take nearly all of my photos (as I prefer film as a format). I recently went on a family holiday, and took 5 reels of photos, which I decided to get developed and scanned at Bristol Cameras. When the CD arrived in the post, all of the negatives had been scanned at funny angles: with black bars on the top, bottom or sides of varying photos. And a reel I took at night had been chopped and scanned completely wrong: with firework displays cut in half and stitched together in weird ways. I phoned up, and said "I think they've been scanned in wrong", when an angry man replied "well, for £2.99 I'm not going to hand scan each negative and make sure it's lined up!" I wasn't expecting hand scanning (I usually get them machine scanned), but I was expecting them to be lined up!
Needless to say, when I asked "could I have a refund please?" I was told "No... but you can bring them back and I'll try again."
I will not be trying again with Bristol Cameras, I will take all future business elsewhere!
