"Crooked return policy. I ordered an armoire from them, which took about 2 weeks to arrive. When I removed all gazillion pieces I realized what a piece of junk it was. I emailed them and they told me it was the manufacturers responsibility. So I emailed the manufacturer, by whom I was told that it was BrandsPlace.com's responsibility for a return. I called BrandsPlace, whose customer service hours only go to 2pm M-F to be told I had to pay the $60 shipping fee plus return shipping ($60) and a 20% restocking fee. This is if I could actually get all gazillion pieces back in the 2 boxes it came in. I gave it to Goodwill, and saved some gray hair. What a terrible experience!"

"After waiting 3 weeks I called Brandsplace to ask about delivery. I was told the item was discontinued and I could apply my refund towards another item. I requested a refund and they emailed me a refund ID which was invalid at PAYPAL. Since then I have tried to phone, email and no response. I simply can not get thru to the company. I am wondering if they have gone out of business. Buyer beware!"

"I ordered a Lego set for my son's birthday, and a week after I placed the order, I emailed to request the status and suddenly I rec'd emails stating it was canceled, but it was too late. THey should have notified me right away if they no longer carried the product. Now my son is without a birthday present on his birthday. They sent me form emails and never returned my phone calls or emails to discuss the matter."

"This is one of the most responsive companies I've ordered from on the internet. Prompt email confirmation of order. Prompt email when order shipped with tracking. Had been ordering from Fragrance net and saved 30.00+ from Brands Place. The shippping was much faster. From my experience I can highly recommend this company and a pleasure to do so."

"Horrible company that is dishonest or incompetent. I ordered some stadium chairs and later was sent an email saying something was wrong with my order and that I need to call them. I don't know why they couldn't call me or write to me about the issue. My order that went through their system showed free shipping. That is why I ordered from them because although their prices were higher than other merchants, with the free shipping it was a little better deal. So I called and had to be transferred. (If your are not going to empower your customer service people to solve problems then why have them? Customer Service at Brandsplace is basically a receptionist.) The man was surly and refused to honor the order. He then said he could have been unethical and just charged my credit card for the extra. That would have actually been criminal, not unethical, and when I would have contested the charge on my card it would have been reversed anyway.

Buyer beware, Brandsplace does not honor the terms on their website. They will try to get more money out you after the sell. They either don't know how to program their website (scary) or they are involved in switch and bait pricing scheme (scary too). Look at the reviews on this site and see, they are rated below 5 out of 10 for good reason. They are a bad company. Avoid them for sure.

"DO NOT ORDER FROM BRANDSPLACE.COM!!! I ordered a Christmas present for my daughter on November 28th. I received an initial e-mail from Brandsplace stating that my order had been received, and then nothing else. I started calling them to find out where my order was. Only after 2 phone calls did someone tell me that the item was on backorder- this was not indicated on their website or in my confirmation e-mail. Every time I called Brandsplace, I was assured that my item would ship by December 19th and would arrive in time for Christmas. I spoke to someone at Brandsplace again on Monday, only to be told that my item would not arrive until December 29th. They promised me that they would call FedEx to find out why it was going to take so long and would call me back. Of course, no call came. So, on December 23rd, I called them again, and even though their hours are M-F 9-5, they were closed at 4:41 pm. Now, I sit on December 24th with only a FedEx tracking site to show me that my purchase is still in Texas (I live in North Carolina). So, my 3-year old daughter's big present- a new bookshelf filled with new books, is minus the bookshelf... Way to go Brandsplace- you are a horrible company that doesn't deserve to be in business. Buyer beware!"

"Wow, what an amazingly bad experience with this site. In spite of having an alternate shipping address on my credit card they demanded to know 'why' I had an alternate address. After canceling my order (I'm not going to explain 'why' I authorized my credit card to ship to another address) the owner started sending me insulting emails ending with this quote "you run your life the way you want and I'll run my business the way I want". Unprofessional and very suspicious. I would highlt advise avoiding BrandsPlace.com"
