"Copmany?!

OK, forgetting that typo, we use booking.com for booking our hotel rooms around the globe.

We're not travel agents, but run small photo tours and used to book directly with each hotel for each tour. Some responded promptly, but many would take their time which was a major issue for us!

Hence we use booking.com where the reservations are instant, and everything is clear with nothing lacking.

A couple of years ago their was a discrepancy with the rate at a hotel in Springdale, Utah, which the hotel didn't do anything to rectify. However, booking.com resolved it and we received our refund.

Our business depends on these reservations, so we have to use a service we can trust. I think that says it all.

"After visiting so, so many individual hotel/b&b websites, writing countless emails to request availability information and receiving no prompt responses, this website is delightful! Such a breath of fresh air. Honestly, stumbling on it just made my day. Everything I need to know about the hotel I'm considering is right there in front of me! I can easily check its location in the city, see pictures, see how other people felt about its services, and generally get a good feel of what I can expect. It quickly filters out hotels that don't have availability when I need them, tells me how many rooms are still available, if anyone else is looking at them, and therefore if I need to act fast to book one of the last rooms for the dates I need. Generally just so helpful, particularly for a last minute planner like me who books reservations so close to the date that most places are full."

"Near the end of the last month I booked a room in a hostel in Flensburg and as per usual I was able to find a very cheap price in a great location. I rely on booking websites now that I travel Europe so much, so having this as a resource is crucial. I am satisfied with the service it provides and will likely use it in the future."

"Like others on here I was also robbed by booking.com and Leonardo Hotel in Charleroi and strongly suggest you avoid this scam of a website like the plague. After the Leonardo Hotel in Charleroi overcharged me I inquired into booking.com why the posted rate was not being followed. They told me they would look into it and get back to me. In the interim they billed my credit card the full amount. When they told me they didn't know why it was higher but thought it might be 'due to taxes' I cancelled my reservation with Leonardo Hotel in Charleroi. However, as my booking was last minute and the final information on the rate was not provided to me until after the deadline to get my money back had passed, they told me that the cancellation policy was violated and it was too late. Oh, and why was I charged more you ask? They told me that I had elected to apply for the 'flexible' option where you can cancel anytime which was untrue. So, in the end they billed me for an option that should have protected me from late cancellation and still did not honour that!!! Do not use this website."
