"Ordered an insulated roman style shade. first one would not stay up after only a couple weeks of ownership. a second one was sent, same problem. poor build quality, cheap parts and material. next time i will stick to blinds.com or selectblinds.com. i went with blinds chalet for the promotion, realizing now it's a never ending disingenuous promotion. i would avoid purchasing blinds from them. "
"Leaving a review here because the actual company website does not allow me to leave one there. I log in and try to leave a review only to find a blank web page. I had a horrible experience with Blinds Chalet. Right out of the box I was not pleased. The color was not what I saw when I picked the colors online and it was supposed to be cordless, which it was not. We went to install anyways and that was the worst experience. The screws that they give you hinder your ability to instal the blinds correctly. The heads are too big are do not allow the top of the blind to latch onto the bracket. Even after we changed the screws, the blinds would not latch onto the brackets. Even if they did, for a slight second, they would fall right off. We tried multiple times on multiple days and even moved the brackets around hoping for better results. When I explained the issue to customer service all I got was an option to PAY AN EXTRA $20 and then only get about 60% of my money back IN SITE CREDIT. Why would I want site credit when the blinds did not come out as I wanted nor do they even work for our window. Very disappointed because I wasted almost $200 on blinds that are now just going to be thrown away. Save your money and opt for Lowes or Home Depot blinds, honestly. They install much easier. "
"I received what I ordered and what I expected. The only complaint I can register is that the included screws were far too long and the screw heads protrude too far to allow the shade to latch into the brackets. I had to drill the brackets and use cabinet maker countersunk screws to avoid interference.

"I was nervous to order shades because I knew if I didn't get it right, I was just going to have to live with it. I'm so glad that I ended up ordering from Blinds Chalet. Not only did they have all the window shade options I was considering, but they recommended a few features that I now realize I REALLY needed. Ordering samples was easy, which make choosing the right color for my room much easier. Kelly let me ask EVERY question under the sun and she either had the answer or found the answer to all of them. (Thank you, Kelly!) I was so excited to find a company offering online custom shades with the option to actually talk to someone about it before I purchased. (I also really loved that they help keep you organized by letting you label the various shades you purchase as you're shopping on the site, and that same information is printed on the product's label when it arrives). The window shades arrived and I had them unpacked, and installed that same morning. It was wildly easy - I don't know why I was nervous about it! Great company with really quality products, and an even higher quality staff! Love the Blinds Chalet team! I'll definitely depend on them for any shades or blinds I need in the future. "

"I decided to try this company when I saw they give discounts for teachers- this teacher learned never to use them again. The one inch wood blinds were obviously not the best quality when they arrived but once installed the look for okay for $150 each. One window had a jump to it when we would close/open the blinds, and after a couple of months the mechanism broke. I went to the Live Chat and was told I would get an email about the resolution. After three weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed. After one week of no response, I finally took time on my lunch break to call. I was told Megan was working on it and I would hear from her that day. After two days of not hearing back, I called. In summary, the communication continued to stink. When I finally got an email from Megan, she said the manufacturer would send a replacement part and had installation instructions attached. So one of the three broken parts arrived which doesn’t solve the issue and I am expected to take apart a blind and install a part hoping that will fix it. I’ve ordered from another company for years and never had such a poor solution or customer service or product quality. Time to go back. "
"I called, based on their webpage representation that they would be able to make my blinds in one day - a Chalet Exclusive - Made in 1 Day or It’s Free! - which turns out is a crock. Not only does that apply to select offerings, but since it's not described anywhere on the page, you get baited. Then, if you don't enter the coupon code correctly, you get switched - and sudently your made in one-day shades cost tripple what you had hoped and - get this - they take three weeks to deliver.
No wonder the Better Business Bureau has so many complaints. "
"I was a bit nervous ordering custom made blinds, but it turns out I had nothing to worry about. I did make an change after I ordered the blinds in the size, and they were able to make it happen without any worry. I went with a metallic color that is just awesome and unique. the blinds fir perfectly, and seriously block light out.

"I ordered"express 3 day"faux wood blinds on June 1st. It is now June 10th and no blinds. Called customer service and was getting HUGE attitude by Megan. The website advertises 3 day but they say it's only an estimate that it could take 8-10 days. Well, why advertise 3 day? To get your money that's why! Nobody knows or even cares to do any follow up. Megan, the wonderful agent, says it can take 2-3 days to even HEAR from the manufacturer-WTF??????? If you want your blinds PASS ON THIS COMPANY. Oh, and if you post a bad review on their website they don't publish it. So don't let the 5 star rating tool you."

"I just had blinds delieverd for 8 large windows .We measured and installed ourselves.Were a perfect fit and an easy installation. The quality is the best and they look fabulous. WE had then with motarized wands which work effortlessly ,snoothly and silently . The blinds came much quicker than I expected and were excently and very safely packed.
