"I got hit with a bait and switch too. I order the Canon XH-A1 at a good price (I figured it was low since it's the older model of this series). I called up to confirm, and ended up being pushed into a higher package. I get the box, and it's the wrong camera. It's the AV40, a camera that Best Buy sells for $1000, and which I payed a little over $2000 for. I called to dispute figuring they'd apologize for their mistake, but they claimed that's what I ordered, and refused to give me a full refund! They were very hostile towards me. They went on and on about how I should just keep the camera because it's such a great deal. Hey, True Blood shoots with it they say. I priced the camera and the extras, and estimate it's only worth $1200.
Avoid these scammes like the plaque.

"Just yesterday I ordered a Canon 50D PACKAGE from Bingo Cameras and placed my order with a credit card. Later in the day I was called by a salesperson who tried his best to bump me up into extra batteries at 6X the price of the Canon batteries, memory cards etc. I would not let him bump me up on anything extra and got the EXPECTED E-MAIL from them the next day that the camera package was out of stock and would not be in for 6-8 weeks. Previously I attempted to purchase a Canon powershot A590 with the same results. If you do not allow them to "bump you up" on needless items above the listed price of the camera they will cancel the order saying it is out of stock. Clearly criminal behavior. I've filed a report with the Feds regarding this behavior. ADDENDUM: A week after I gave these guys my credit card number and my security code I started getting fradulent charges on my Credit card and had to close the account BEWARE********"

"I have read most of the reviews on Bingo Camera and the overall theme is that they have very poor service including bait and switch, hang ups, and misinformation. My story which started yesterday and quickly ended today is similar in nature. I ordered a camcorder because the price was the lowest of all sites (be careful) and quickly noticed that they wanted to sell me a memory card 32GB SDHC for over $400. They said that this "high speed" card was a necessary component to have with the camera. I called Canon and they said that card was unnecessary and I purchased one for $100. I just wanted the camcorder and that was it and seeing that their bait/switch tactics were not working with me, they hung up on me when I called back to ask more questions. I told them that I was going on vacation in 2 weeks and that I needed the camera in 3-5 days so he added $30 to my order. When I checked back on online order, I noticed that under products ordered there was an "X" marked in the box, no description of my camera. I called back and talked with Kevin who told me that the product I ordered was their overseas model and that it was on 6-8 back order!!!! He wanted to know if I wanted to order the USA model which comes with the battery and other components. I also know that the contents of the box (from the factory) does contain the battery (which Bingo Cameras removes) and they try to sell you a high end battery as an add on. I cancelled the order and cancelled my credit card as well just to be safe. Wow, what an experience!. Terrible"

"PLEASE PAY HEED TO THESE WARNINGS!!!! I unsuspectingly got scammed by these jerks too! Save yourself the headache, time and
B.S., STAY AWAY! Some slick talking guy named Ralph conned me into to buying a super charged battery for $199, when one doesn't exist. It is in fact the stock battery that comes with the camera. He sold me a an $18 dollar memory card for $147. The original package of $444 is to lure you and and use a bait and switch on you. I am currently in the process of fighting this with my credit card company. BINGO has been harassing me with phone calls since I filed my dispute. Where do these people get the nerve to rip people off of their hard earned money. They claim that their competitors are writing these reviews to discredit them. I will fight this for as long as it takes. It's all about karma what goes around comes around. May the fleas of a thousand camels nest in their armpits!

"I recently bought a macro lens from this company, and at first I was very fearful that I had made a mistake in doing so. While I did feel a bit pressured to puchase more items, for which I did, the extra items weren't high dollar items, and they were to protect the lens. Ralph could sell poop on the street corner, and he reminded me of a car salesman. He was very kind, but pushy, and hardly understood the word "no". But that's what sales people do. I called back on a couple of occasions to express my concerns and dealt with a young man by the name of Kevin. He was very professional and patient with me. I was less than nice to him on one occasion, but he never stopped being professional or patient. I called again to report one of the items had not been sent and Kevin, once again, was a sweet heart. He stated he would order the item and have it shipped to me. No hassles, he just took care of it. Would I recommend this company? Yes. Will I use them again? Yes. "

"I ordered a Nikkor 18-200 vr lens from this company via the webb for $489.00. I called them first to find out if it came with a USA warranty. They said it did and that should order via the web for faster processing. Which I did. Later that day I got a call from a guy named Ralph (I doubt that it's his real name). Ralph wanted the three digit security code from my credit card which for some reason wasn't wasn't on their web form. Then Ralph advised me that this was an old lens and I got the last one. he said the NEW lens has an updated chip in it. sounded like a legitimate upgrade at the time. So, not knowing that the story was not true I said OK to the new lens and a UV filter for a package price of $631.00. Still a good price for that Nikkor lens.
Ralph was to email me an invoice. I didn't get the invoice so I called customer service the next day who did send me an invoice.By the time I read the invoice, I got a shipping notification. To my shock the invoice said they shipped a Sigma 18-200 os lens instead of the Nikkor. A lens you by from Amazon for $399.98. Called customer sevice again, was treated rudely. I advised that I would contact the State Attorney General about this bait and switch act. I was told to refuse the shipment but if complained. the would charge a 15% restocking instead of 10%. I did refuse the shipment. Let see what happens. The bottom line is, PLEASE LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE.DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE.

Here is an update. Discussed the matter with Kevin and received a full refund in a timely manner.

"I ordered a Canon G10. Original price was great at $389. Called to confirm internet order and not knowing any better, I was talked into purchasing a "long life" battery and "rapid" charger. When I received the camera it had the original battery and charger enclosed. Called the company and explained the I was sent the stock equipment. Someone named "Ralph" insisted that his company deals directly with the manufacturer and the items sent to me were indeed what was described. I called Canon USA and asked them if they sell a "long life" battery and rapid charger and I was told no. Called Bingo Cameras and told them that they scammed me and I wanted the difference credited back to my account and they told me that Canon USA didn't know what they were talking about because the deal directly with the manufacturer (Japan). When I decided to send the camera back for a refund, I was going to be charged over $160 "restocking" fee. I ended up keeping the camera because I was on a cross-country road trip. Just chalking this one as a learning experience....If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If I new someone who lived in NJ I'd have them pay this company a visit. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! "

"Advertised Canon 50D for $424. US warranty. Equipment ordered for $1200 was not equipment shipped for $1686. When I called, was placed on hold for 20 minutes, then cut off. 8 times. Only after I called my credit card company did they respond. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING VIA EMAILS FROM THESE PEOPLE. EVERYTHING. Return address, return authorization #, EVERYTHING.
With the help of my credit card co. I lost only $60 bucks for return shipping and insurance.
Customer service avoid the truth, are arrogant, and try to intimidate.
I am almost 62 years old. These are the worst people I have ever dealt with.

"Disgusting customer service. Manager does not even know how to talk to the people. I ordered my D5000 12-24 mm paid $987 including for two days shipping so that I can use my camera for my internation travel. As per Bingo manager (may be customer service rep), Sunday is not a business day eventhough Bingo camera has working hours on Sunday.

Manager is telling me that, I called Bingo camera because, I wanted the money back on my shipping and still get the camera in two business days. Very bad attitude! I do not even understand that, what kind people Bingo has appointed two talk to customer. I would not suggest anybody to buy camera from this store.

I wish, I knew about the experience of many other dis-satisfied cusotmer! In that case I would not have bought my camera from this place. I rate Bingo Camera very poor on customer service! It sucks!

"I had an almost identical experience with Bingo Cameras. I placed my order on a Friday morning before getting on a plane. I wanted the Nikon 70-300 VR lens. The first thing the salesman tried to do was bait and switch to a Sigma lens, which was more expensive and, he claimed, better. I stuck with the Nikon.
Upon arriving at my destination, I found a voicemail from Marlene in accounting, asking me to call her back because there was a problem with my credit card. I tried her extension, with no luck. Finally, I called the so-called Customer Service extension, and talked with someone who very abruptly told me that my order for the Sigma lens had been canceled. I interrupted him to tell him that I had ordered the Nikon lens. He quickly said that the order for the Nikon lens had been canceled, and hung up.
At this point, I was starting to become suspicious, so I called back and dialed in the Sales extension. I started to tell the sales person what happened, when he told me to hold on, put me on hold, and connected me to a recording that told me that I was calling outside of normal business hours, and please call back, without telling what normal business hours are.
I waited until Monday and called back, first dialing Marlene's extension. No luck. I then tried the Customer Service number, and Marlene answered. I first established the problem...my delivery address and billing address were different. No problem. That was quickly fixed. Then I asked her about the priority shipping fee I had paid, and explained that I needed the lens by Wednesday and did not think I would get it in time, and also did not think I should have to pay additional to make sure I got it in time. She told me to hang on so she could connect me to Kevin, her supervisor.
Imagine my surprise when Kevin turned out to be the same schmuck I had spoken with on Friday! He said, "Yes, we talked on Friday and I told you that your order had been canceled." I started to tell him about my conversation with Marlene when he said, "I am her supervisor, so I am telling you that the order has been canceled." Since the charge already showed up on my bank statement, I gave it one last shot, since the lens was advertised at a great price. I told him that I was getting ready to upgrade my entire camera system and was prepared to spend several thousand dollars over the next year, but I was not happy with his idea of customer service. His response was, "What do you want me to say?" At this point, I figured that if I was having this much trouble spending my money with him, what sort of service could I expect if something went wrong. I finally told him, "Never mind, go ahead and cancel my order." His parting shot was, "I already told you that I did this," then he hung up on me.
Now, my concern is that he has my credit card number and address. Am I keeping a close eye on my bank account? You bet I am! I agree with the previous post. From now on, I will spend more and stick with established vendors. I remember a poster on a camera shop wall from many years ago. It said, "Never buy anything from a rude salesperson, no matter how much you want the item, and no matter how good a bargain it is."
Truer words were never written. Bingo Cameras will never get a penny of my money, and I will do what I can to warn fellow consumers not to waste their time or money dealing with people like this. DO NOT SHOP AT BINGO CAMERAS.

"Ordered Canon HD XL-H1 Camcorder and got a 29 lbs. box full of Super K Mart merchandise and a low end Sony HD 1000u. How do you get that order mixed up? Same exact story as all the stories posted below. My credit card company has filed fraud against them. Local police report is on file. Google has been notified. I'm sure Bingo Cameras (Or, whatever their name oh) will be changing it's name soon. Thank goodness for fraud protection."

"I ordered lenses and paid for 3 day air shipping. Then I got email to call Bingo to confirm the order. I did and asked why I needed to call to confirm and the guy hung up on me. Called again and another guy told me that this part comes from Japan and it takes 3 weeks fro them to get it and then they would ship it in 3 days to me. I asked why they don't include such information on their website instead of misleading with shipping upgrades? He said he won't deal with me and he canceled the order and hung up...terrible, terrible people to deal with! don't buy from these crooks."
