"I recently ordered a Wilderness Energy BL-36 kit from this store and it wasn't shipped until about 2 weeks after I placed the order, despite their claim to ship within 3-5 days. I was told it was because the batteries were out of stock and that that fact was listed on the website. It wasn't listed anywhere, but he assured me it would be shipped soon, so I decided to wait (not a huge setback). A week and a half later, I recieved the kit with a broken wheel. I was told that the only thing I could do was to either try to get a replacement from the manufacturer or to file a claim with FedEx.

The manufacturer doesn't answer their phones or respond to emails. I've filed a claim with FedEx and I hope that works out, but after spending almost $500 at BernsonEV.com, I expected to get a working kit without having to deal with insurance claims or warranties. In my opinion, they should replace/repair the item and deal with any problems that occurred before I recieved the kit. It's now almost a month after I placed my order and it doesn't seem like the kit will be working unless I take it into a shop to have it rapaired. Needless to say, I'm not a happy customer.

I also feel like I should commend them on quickly responding to emails and answering their phones when I called, even though I wasn't happy with their policy of making me deal with the broken wheel instead of fixing it. Dennis Bernson seems like a nice guy and I would have been happy with them if the kit had arrived in working order.

Just know that if your order is damaged in shipping, you will have to take care of it on your own. (I could return the stuff and file a chargeback with my credit card company, but that leaves me with nothing and I would have to pay the return shipping. Its cheaper and faster to fix it locally, but that's not something I bargained for when I made my purchase)
