"I recently needed high security padlocks for an upcoming trip. After much research, I decided on Abloy, then started looking for places to buy them from. Abloy locks are specialized, hard to find, and expensive. After almost ordering at another site, but being scared away by all the add-on fees (keying, protech2 core, color, etc), I found Bay Area Locks. They have straightforward pricing and a good ordering experience.
I ordered ofter 7pm, got a shipping notice at midnight, and it was on a truck the next morning. Perfect. I can't stand when companies wait 2-3 days to ship product. What's more impressive about the fast shipping, is that these locks had to be assembled/keyed before shipping. It was a little more complex than just putting them in a box and slapping on a label.
Speaking of boxes, the one I received contained entirely way too much padding. The most angry delivery driver wouldn't have been able to damage anything. Even the little box with the lock inside had been opened to place 2 packing peanuts inside, to completely eliminate anything banging or rattling around. Total overkill.
In summary, I'm completely happy with my transaction with Bay Area Locks, and will be ordering new deadbolts and padlocks from them in the future."
