"Ordered camera battery. Spent a long time choosing. I GUESS it was my fault but it appeared to me that that battery would be the correct one for my camera. It was not. Contacted the company, was given a return number and label to print. I thought all was going well but since I returned the $22 battery, I have not recieved a refund nor have I had any response to my emails regarding any problems and I have sent several emails. I don't guess I will ever see my money again !!!!! Couldn't exchange the battery for another as they didn't have one that would fit."

"I ordered batteries for my Panasonic phone that supposedly are Panasonic batteries--but they don't appear to be from Panasonic, just from China. And--they don't fit the phone. I've just lost my 2 day shipping. Will NEVER shop this retailer again."

"BEWARE OF THE WEBSITE'S PROMOTIONAL CODES - I ordered a laptop battery on 1/11/10. At the time I placed the order, the website advertised free shipping -AND- a NEWYEAR10 code for discount of 15%. I had trouble entering the code which was to expire at the end of the day. My e-mail order confirmation included the credit for free shipping, but no mention of the discount. I called customer service immediately after placing order and pointed this out. I was told by Rep#1 (one of the 2 reps who take these calls) that I should send her an e-mail message and she would manually make an adjustment to my bill to include the 15% discount. I did so, and followed my e-mail up with a phone call on 1/12/10 which was handled by Rep#2. Rep#2 put me on hold while consulting with Rep#1 and came back with response that Rep#1 would post the 15% as a credit to my credit card account the very next day. I sent another e-mail to Rep#1 on 2/20/10 as I still had not seen the 15% credit. I followed up that e-mail with a call to customer service on 2/24/10 and was advised by Rep#2 that the battery had been on clearance since November and did not qualify for the 15% discount. Why had the NEWYEAR10 code not stated that there were exceptions to what it would cover? Why had NEITHER Rep told me that in my earlier contacts with them? I've been cheated! I will not use this company EVER again."

"Poor Customer service! I placed an order online on a weekend. The order form has a separate shipping and billing address. I filled out the form and reviewed it. Then I submitted the order. The confirmation told me that the item was going to be shipped to my home address and not the address I had submitted with the order as the "Ship To Address". I immediately called and found out they were closed on the weekends. I called first thing on Monday. I was told the order was indeed being shipped to the wrong address and that there was nothing they could do about it. I asked more questions and was repeatedly told, "Sorry, there is nothing we can do". In fact this the only thing the agent told me over and over. It was clear she could care less. When I stated I was dissatisfied with the response and lack of customer service. I was again told, "Sorry." I recommend taking your business elsewhere. This company is clearly in business to just take your money and has no interest in providing good customer service."

"Terrible company. Have my order since 09/22/09 were item available, their site shows three days later, back order and nothing new from them.

Called twice a week to find out when it's shipping, so far been told at the end of the week for the last three weeks, one rep. told me next month! They never reply to emails. I'm stuck with them, can't even cancel the order. Beware buyers, buy it at your own risk.

"After reading a few of the reviews, I was initially a bit hesitant about ordering, but I took a chance.

And I'm glad I did because it was a very smooth and positive experience. I ordered a hard to find after-market battery for the Panasonic L1 camera. The website showed that it was out and on back order, but when I called Batteries.com to verify, they said that they did had a few in stock, so I ordered.

I received the item quickly in just a few short days - no problems at all.

"Very very bad customer service - 2 months late with a backorder of AA Alkalines...when they finally arrived they were thrown into two plastic bags with no packaging and THEY WERE LEAKING! Called customer service - they said no returns because the origional order was placed more than 45 days prior! Will not respond to emails. These guys continue to be in business only because they own the name batteries.com."

"I bought a bad charger from a batteries.com competitor a couple months before and had a very bad experience and never got my money back. So I needed to get a charger that really worked for my battery, but after such a horrible experience with the last order, which to be clear was NOT from batteries.com, I was quite leery.

So I looked around a lot and batteries.com had a very good price and said it would work for the camera battery I needed to charge. And so I took the leap and bought it. Luckily for me things went very smoothly and the charger worked flawlessly. Unlike the one that was supposedly compatible that I had bought and wasn't able to return to the 'competitor'....don't know if we can name names here but I wrote a review of that competitor on here also so please read it if you are in the market for any battery related thing as I got really cheated with that 'competitor'.

But this review is of Batteries.com and to make no confusion at all, I am very happy with all aspects of that order and product. It was very fairly priced, came in less than a week with standard shipping, and their customer service confirmed for SURE beforehand that the charger I needed would work for sure with my camera battery. And it did/does. it works perfectly.

I have since ordered at least 2 other things from them and everything has been above average. The domain name batteries.com was what originally drew me to the site, boy did they get lucky lol. But I read up on the reviews this time before buying and found good experiences overall.

plus they have lots of good very cheap deals running all the time for everyday-type batteries like AA/AAA and 9V. When you get those with another bigger order especially, it saves a lot with shipping even over buying somewhere locally.

1 last comment to make is that their search feature works mucho better than what I'm used to on specialty web site searches. I typed in my cell phone model with and without dashes and it pulled up exactly the replacement battery needed. most other random battery sites I tried this on didn't work or would only work with the dash.
Those little things make a big difference for me when finding things.

so yes, I would highly recommend batteries.com if you need just about any type of standard or extra specific battery. coming from a very bad experience with another company that I wasted money buying from, it was finally a nice surprise that gave me a little faith with ordering online again. kudos to them.

"Order placed on 10/27/08, as website showed battery in stock. As of 11/13/08, order is still "At Warehouse". I tried to cancel order and was advised that I could not cancel but I could refuse delivery or ask for a return shipping label. I certainly won't use this retailer again.

Update: My order is still "At Warehouse". Spoke with customer service, told I couldn't cancel order. After pressing rep, was told they would call the warehouse to see if order could be cancelled, would call me with update. Four more days have passed, no call.

Update: Battery arrived in December, 7 weeks after placing order. I refused delivery, so it would go back for a credit (as customer service originally told me to). Waited 6 weeks, no credit issued. Filed a dispute with AMEX. Have now been advised by AMEX that Batteries.com did not respond to them so they are issuing me the credit. Good luck to those who purchase from this merchant!

"I have been ordering from batteries.com for the last two years. At first I was reluctant to order from them from reading bad reviews. I have yet to have a bad experience. I have probably ordered from them about a dozen times and only once were the batteries on back order. Most orders arrive in under a week with standard shipping. Hopefully the good service they have given me will continue. I have ordered batteries for video cameras, still cameras, watch batteries, and bike computer batteries from them. "

"I had one good order from this store last week, so I tried again.

Ordered a spare battery for my new personal camera. They took my credit card information and told me they completed the order. The very next day, they sent me an email telling me it was back ordered. I consider this a Bait and Switch practice, as the only alternative offered was much more expensive.
They showed *no* interest in working with me about this, even though I'm a corporate buyer. When I asked to cancel the order, I was promptly hung up on! I had to call back and hang around on hold till I could talk to another disinterested employee.
Dealing with this company is just not worth the hassle. They don't care if you are satisfied or not. Just do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
