"I live in London and ordered a Gefen HD Scaler from Ballyhoogle - a thing that lets me hook up my Xbox 360 to my Apple monitor. I placed my order and received an automatic email response.

Two weeks later, I still had not received the item, so I emailed 'John' to get an update on my order. No reply.

Two days after that, I emailed again. Still no reply.

Four days later, I sent another email. No reply.

As their website listed my order as simply 'Processing', I wasn't even sure if the order had completed, so later that day I emailed to instruct Ballyhoogle to cancel my order. Of course, I received no reply!

I ordered the item elsewhere and received it promptly.

Then I just checked my bank statement and saw that they did take the money from my card on the day I placed the order. Great! If someone had got back to me, telling me that my product was in (extremely slow) transit, then I wouldn't have wasted $300 buying a duplicate.

It's now over a month since I placed that order, and I still haven't received anything. This company is a JOKE! I will be telling all my friends about my experience. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPAN

"Addendum: On or about 03/05/2008 I did get my paper shredder. It is a fine quality and I am happy with the item. I did get a call back from John at Ballyhoogle several days after my second inquiry, and he was very pleasant and helpful. I was informed that if you choose not to register as an account when you order, you are not able to get shipping information. Be sure when you order to register yourself as an account if you want to be able to check on the status of the order. That is why when I checked, It showed that I had not placed an order, when really I had not sighed up as an account.
Original message: On 02/14/2008 I ordered a paper shredder from Ballyhoogle. I have not received any correspondance from them. I did see that on that day the price of the shredder, 92.98 was taken out of my bank account though. I looked on the site to see if it had shipped and their system said I had not placed any order. Odd since they debited my account for the cost of the item. I hope to hear back from my 2 voice mails and 2 emails, but haven't heard a word yet. Not the best way to start a relationship with a new customer.

"On the 15th of January I ordered a pack of batteries. They didn't arrive. I sent them email on the 11th of February. No response. Now I'm trying to contact them through their site. We'll see...

I wouldn't recommend dealing with ballyhoogle.com

"My credit card was charged immediately as there was an email response confirming the order. One week later, the purchased was still not showing shipped through google checkout. I've trying for about 10 days to contact Ballyhoogle via a couple emails but never got a reply. I tried to call several times but each time -nobody was ever available - I left messages but never got a return call.

I think that Ballyhoogle shouldn't be in business with the type of service it has.

"NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM BALLYHOOGLE.
Monday 14 January 2008, I ordered from France a PCI card external IEEE-1394a/FireWire port (PYRO PCI 64R2) with Paypal payment. My credit card has been charged immediately. We're now the seventh of February and Ballyhoogle still hasn't ship this item, it still appears in my shopping cart as "Paypal Processing". In addition they don't answer my mails or phone calls,and i requested for several call backs with no success.
I think that they can't or do not want to send me my order (maybe because i'm french, currently living in France, so far from US). I see no other solution than demand a refund but i think it's hopeless. A consolation : i was about to order for 250$ and finaly ordered for "only" 35$. I should also have look for custormer's reviews before ordering : there is a lot of bad reviews for this merchant.

Today (Friday 14 march 2008), i found the answer ballyhoogle have published on reselerratings.com yesterday. Thanks to resellerratings to inform me that ballyhoogle was trying to contact me...

IT'S A HUGE LIE, MY MONEY HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED. And of course i didn't received my order.

They don't answer to mails or calls but they answer to public customer's reviews so let's make it public.

"Ordered item on Jan 8 with 2-day overnight express. I chatted with their live person who said they have 18 in stock. I stated my urgency for the item, and indicated I was ordering with 2-day overnight. After a week, I called (voice mail full) and sent an email for the tracking number.

I'm still waiting for a response and hope to have these in my hands by tomorrow.

update - 1/31/08 Well, that didn't happen. The event came and went. No box, no call, no email. I had to order a similar item from elsewhere and overnight it.

Don't waste your time or money.

"UPDATE: I STILL am waiting on a tracking number. It seems that they were way over their heads during Christmas. I ordered my TV on 12/15. I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT!
John promised me a tracking number on 1/18. Didn't get it. Full of empty promises.

I am waiting to hear back from John, as my TV still has not arrived.
John, on 12/19, told me that it would be in my possession 7 -10 working days. It still hasn't arrived.

"John - Guess you haven't had a chance to run out to the local WalMart to buy my skillets yet. John, this order was a Christmas present--that's why it was ordered in early November. You said you'd ship in five business days. Obviously, you are not going to be able get that present to me in time for Christmas. Shame on you. Responsible sellers don't charge until they ship and it didn’t take you more than a minute to get your greasy little hands on my funds. I guess that makes you irresponsible. I'm beginning to believe that you have committed fraud. So before I fire off a letter to your state's Attorney General, I will expect to have received a refund to my account. Hopefully, I can at least count on you to be able to complete that simple task in a timely fashion--that is, if you haven't spent my money on drugs or something!"

"I placed an order on 11/16/07.
I have placed voice mail calls and e-mails and phone calls to have no one return my calls or e-mails. The money was pulled put of my account immediately, but my order still says processing. Last e-mail stated I wanted a return call or to refund my account immediately, three days later still no word from this John. I am very disappointed and to say the least will not order on line again. I work very hard for my money, I can not afford to give away this kind of money.



To Johns reply,
I have not recieved this product, the shipping number was to Baltamore, I live in lakeland florida. John called me and said the dist. dropped the ball, I would recieve my order over nighted on dec 24th at no extra cost to me, well it is now the 27th, and I have yet to see it or hear from him again.

"I ordered a Video card cooling fan from Ballyhoogle on 9/21/07. When I ordered, the website said that the fan was "in stock" so I figured I should have it soon enough.

A week passes and I have no tracking number for UPS, I e-mail John from Ballyhoogle asking for the tracking number for my order. No response! A second and third e-mail sent. No response again! I called their customer service number and left a detailed message, No return call. Called two more times and then I get an e-mail stating that the fan was on backorder and he wanted to know if I wanted a refund or still wanted the fan. I told him to refund me. Now mind you this is almost two weeks for the date I ordered.

I e-mailed him two more times to try and get a refund and also called him again. I finally get an e-mail from him saying that I will get 'credit' when I asked for a 'refund'. I have yet to see my money from these people.

It's transactions like these that make me not want to shop on the net. Absolutely HORRIBLE! DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE AT BALLYHOOGLE, they don't deserve your business. They have no idea what customer service is all about.
