"Just opened a brand new photography studio and didnt have a big budget to spend on backdrops. Ordered a candy stick and a floor and recieved them in a reasonable ammount of time and was shocked on how nice the quailty was for the price. Once i got my package in there was a flyer in the box about there monthly photo contest and had a few question so i called them up and spoke with john who was very helpful and answered all my questions. I hope my buisness does well because i want to order some backdrops. My only wish would be that there new catalog was out already but when i spoke with john he said it wouldnt be out till next month."

"I orderded a backdrop on 11/29/2011 and have not gotten it yet 2/08/2012. Customer service has been nice but nice just does not cut it when they are this late on shipping product.
UPDATE: Having read all of the comments here I decided the best course was to have my money returned. The transfer took two days and I got the full amount back. I was offered compensation to change my review here. I have decided it in the best interest of the public not to accept the compensation.

"Ordered some Titanium Cloth last Monday and got them in today! Can't believe it and they are actually real high quailty for the price. "*updated*. After placing my review online, I was contacted within a day about my unfortunate experience by a managing representative. He apologized about the situation and informed me of new protocols and system improvements being put in place to ensure that in the future my orders would be monitored. I am pleased with the resolution to my issues, and already have placed a new order which should be on the way! I'm glad that this company cared enough to check reviews, you don't see that very often. We are usually statistics put in expected loss margins. Thank you backdrop outlet for your speedy resolution.

I am not new to backdrop outlet but. Customer Service Poor. I placed my order December 26, three weeks later I called to see if it had shipped, and was told that it would be shipped out Immediately. Two weeks later new call still not shipped, I then asked for a refund, no apologies offered :( I really wanted my items. We are now in week two of waiting on refund. They tell me another five business days should do it. Looking for a replacement to buy studio stuff....any suggestions?

"After a terrible delay in production and expressing my frustrations, I was quickly contacted by a manager who was sincere in his apology and offered to upgrade my order and my shipping. While the wait is still a major bummer, the customer service I received from Erik was great. More importantly, Erik also told me of some major upgrades to their production department aimed at getting their products produced and shipped much quicker. That alone turned me from a 1 time customer, to most likely a repeat customer. "

"Recently Ordered some Candy Floors at imaging USA and by the time I got back from New Orleans they were already there. The price was so cheap and the quality was great as well. In the box was a survey and if I fill it out I get a $20 Gift Card AWESOME! Will order again soon."

"First I have to say, I never write reviews like this, but I felt compelled to do this. I'm a Professional Photographer based in Boston. We placed an order for a backdrop on January 11, 2012. Received a confirmation email, said the order would ship in 1-2 days. Backordered items may take up to 4 weeks. It's now the 23rd, I have a photo session with 15 Corporate Execs on Friday morning of this week and we had not heard anything back. Called Backdrop Outlet, phone rang and rang, then someone answered, gave them the order number, told them we had not received the order yet. After being on hold again for 5 minutes, I was told they just received that background today and it would ship out later via UPS and I would receive it Saturday! I told them this was not acceptable. Since they only ship UPS or US Mail, I could do 2nd day at for an additional cost of $52.50. Since the item as $94.00, I did not think this was reasonable, but I do understand how much express shipping costs. I asked them why we had not received an email letting us know that the order was backordered, I might have had a chance to place an order with a different vendor for this particular product. They said they were sorry that this had happened. In the end I cancelled the order and went to a competitor who bent over backwards, even though their shipping people had left for the day, they were able to get a wrinkle free type background out this afternoon for mid week delivery at no extra charge! That's the service that is expected in todays market. It's the service we provide to our clients. Needless to say, they've gained a new client. Dave

As a follow up to this initial review, Eric from Backdrop Outlet personally called me today after seeing this review, apologized for all the confusion, offered to give me a free backdrop and free shipping. Guess I can't ask for much more. Thanks Eric, you've restored my faith, Best, Dave

"Eric from Backdrop Outlet called and offered a substitute backdrop because of the length of time it was taking to get the one I ordered. I appreciate the customer service and have accepted it. The previous backdrop I ordered from Backdrop Outlet was excellent quality and I look forward to receiving the new one. I will order again but will place a call first to see what is in stock."

"My initial experience with the company was not a good one at all. After my ordeal the Product Manager for Backdrop Outlet contacted me personally! He was very concerned about my experience with the company, and I have to say that I was really surprised that they would go to the ends of the Earth to ensure a disgruntled customer's satisfaction. Too many companies out there don't even care about their customers. I have to say that this is not one of them. Erik, if you're reading this, thank you again for your hard work and everything you did to make my experience with Backdrop Outlet a pleasant one, even after the rocky start. "I just received my first order from backdrop outlet and it was great got 6 backdrops for $99 what a deal! I will for sure order again from them. I also got 10% off when I signed up for there mailing list can't beat that. I called them once for a tracking number and was emailed it promptly Sara was a big help on the phone. My order shipped in two shipments but I didn't mind. Will for sure go to them next time I need some backdrops. Also of you fill out a survey you get a free $20."

"I ordered some canvas backdrops for my husband who is starting out as an amateur photographer. I placed the order November 5 hoping they would be a Christmas present. Well they were on backorder because they had to go into "production". I called their customer service to see if they would be in on time. I was assured they would be. I was told they would be shipping out the following Wednesday. That Wednesday came and went and they were still marked as backorder. I called again and was told they were delayed but would ship the next Friday. Again same thing happened. I called 5 times and was told 5 different things but was constantly told they would be here in time. Well it's the day before Christmas Eve on a Friday, their customer service is closed, and my order is still marked as backordered.I will never use this site again."
