"I was searching online for a new pair of Etymotic ER4s's earphones and came across a site that had them for sale for an amazing $145, (BM brooks.com). Tooooooo Darn good to be true Ehh!! The Ety's arrived Tuesday the 3rd of June.
On opening the box my 1st impression was that the cardboard sieve that covers the black plastic Etymotic storage case was did not look as if it was in new condition, on opening the black storage case I noticed that the Etymotic cord was unraveled, little did I know that the worst was yet to come. On closer inspection I noticed that there were some very small indentation marks around the "Transducer barrels" with scratch marks on one of the transducers. I made a quick phone call to Etymotic the people that made the earphones and spoke to someone in their tech department, they assured me that the Etymotics should not have any kind of "Clamping indentation marks" on the barrel and the Black plastic storage box and cardboard sleeve should have been shrink wrapped in plastic, it was not only obvious that these earphones were not new but they had also been tampered with. I paid Via Paypal so I sent an E-mail to BM Brooks and then started a Paypal dispute. It must have been an hour or so later that I received a phone call from BM Brooks customer service department asking me to fill out an online returns form. I asked that seeing as this was a little bit of "slight of hand" on their part that they should cover all the shipping costs plus Paypal fees, they said that they would but I would have to call off the Paypal dispute for them to cover the cost of the shipping.......No way!! I am not removing the Paypal dispute until I am 100% satisfied that I have been 100% refunded.
I guess it's my own fault for falling for such a "too good to be true" deal. I think I will scrape together the Extra dollars and order from Headroom.

"The merchandise, a Hamilton Beach mixer, arrived with a defective finish. We contacted the company by phone within 2 days of receipt and requested an exchange. They sent us to the web site for an RMA and return instructions. Web site locked up multiple times when clicking the submit button but we finally got an RMA after many tries. Requested shipping instructions and the address to return the product but never received. Offshore customer service in India was terrible - heavy accent and completely unhelpful. Contacted the US ***-***-**** number and spoke with customer service. They were not helpful and would not give out a contact or address for the corporate offices; they were a call center in Michigan and were unable to help. Requested a supervisor only to find out they wouldn't do anything. Have disputed the charge on my credit card and am waiting for them to call me back as promised. Buyer beware if you buy from these people!"

"I ordered a 22 inch lcd monitor from bmbrooks on the 15th of July, I received my order on the 26th of July. That is 12 days, of those days nearly all of them I was left in the dark with no communication. There site had a status about my order but the status said 'partial'. Without a legend I could only guess as to what that meant so I called them and spoke to a woman who was a bit less than able to be comprehended to a English speaking American. I was told partial meant that my order was shipped and on it's way to me, I requested a shipping number but she said she didn't have that information but I would receive it shortly. I waited about a week after that without any change in status or contact and was told that my order was not shipped. I spoke to 2 more people in the company in order to get a hold of a person who I could understand and she was very impolite and not at all understanding of my situation. This time I was told that my order would be shipped today and I would receive it tomorrow or the day after. I set aside time to await reception of my order twice. Then on the third day I was away from home when the order came and it had sat in front of my home for some time. With luck it sat there without more than a few drops of rain falling on it. The only positive is that the product I ordered worked as I had hoped. Everything else was poor."

"New company but I ordered a router and the comunication and service was first class. I got the router yesterday and it was a sealed retail version, no funny stuff like refurbs. I did call once to check on my order and to check them out and had a very frindly galansewer all questions."
