Horrible Bakery

"Ordered a special cake for my daughter's baby shower and what they tried to give me at pick up time was nothing that I ordered. What it looked like after they "fixed" it was a travesty. You could see where they scraped off frosting and writing then tried to hide it by airbrushing color on it. Was stuck because shower was less than 11/2 hours until start time. Left in tears with this crappy cake. Stopped at service desk so they could see. Called customer service number at 11:42 am on sunday on way home from getting cake was told district manager would call me. As pf thursday morning still didn't hear from DM. Called customer service back and told them I was off today and want to hear from DM, was told they would expedite issue and call me back in a few hours to follow up. It's now 5:30pm and still heard nothing. So dissappointing at every step of this experience. Was let down by everyone who works at BJs from bakery to customer service to DM. Lousy company that absolutely does NOT care about their customers. "

Fraud committed and store does not seem to care

"BJ's company messed up on their end and decided to point the blame on me. They should learn to help their customers instead of ignoring and giving them the run around. No one seems to care. I have been a customer for close to 10 years and now I need their help on correcting a mistake THEY made and I am getting none. They are saying that I wrote 2 checks that were returned. I have called tele check 2 times and TRS 2 times as well as my bank and they say that I am clear. I was never even at BJ's the day the claim I wrote them 2 bad checks. This was definitely an inside job and their store is letting their employees get away with stealing identitys. Tomorrow I will be going to file a police report. Maybe they will listen to me then.

ALERT Propane Tank Refills at BJ’s Valley Stream, NY loction

"On 12/24/19 I purchased a refill for my propane tank at the Green Acres, NY location. After noticing that frost formed on valve and line to my turkey fryer, sought help from a reputable BBQ grill service store. After verifying that my tank weighed in excess of 43 lbs. I was advised that my tank was GROSSLY over filled and rather than vapor, liquid propane was passing through the feeder line and was thus was so cold that frost was forming on the valve and the line. This is a potential explosion waiting to happen — liquid propane fed into a flame. I was advised that the tank was overfilled by some 15 pounds.

BJs should train their staff how to properly fill and recognize the proper amount of propane injected into the portable tanks brought to them for filling.

Race Discrimination occurs at BJ's Wholesale Club in Clermont Florida< General Manager Beverly DeSantis.

"REVERSE RACISM AT THIS LOCATION BY THE GENERAL MANAGER BEVERLY DESANTIS, On November 25, 2019 I went to BJ's wholesale Club located at 2577 Hwy 27 in Clermont Florida, Store number 199 and I went in and went to the customer service desk to return a defective belt and purchased a ham for thanksgiving, I spoke to a cashier number 280682 by the name of Volarie and she said to go get another belt and the ham and to come back to the customer and she would check me out.
When returning there was a line and Volarie was free but there was a line that had formed and a older lady standing in line started yelling that I was cutting in line so I informed her that I was already there previously and Volarie had waited on me, Volarie then stated that I had to get back in line and wait my turn which I gladly did with no further problem.
The older woman's husband look embarrassed and aggravated about his wife's actions and walked away within a matter of seconds.
Shortly after that a Hispanic male and his wife approached me and the Hispanic male threatened me with bodily harm just because I had addressed the old lady in line as the **** that she was.
The confrontation went on for 3.17 minutes as per Mr. Ted Bell the regional director who contacted me by phone on November 26, 2019 at around 3:00 PM and stated after reviewing the surveillance camera footage that it was obvious that I was not the aggressor in the incident and he asked how BJ's could make it right with me and my wife, I really did not have a answer at that time. We went on to discuss how the store general manager Beverly DeSantis was arrogant and rude when asking me what the problem was and I advised him as I did her that the customer service desk is really F'up in the way that they handle problems and she stated that she did not want to talk to me anymore yet she stood behind Volarie while I was finally checking out as to intimidate and badger me more even though she had previously stated that she did not want to talk to me further.
Ms. DeSantis knowing the Hispanic male that threatened me was Hispanic and she also being Hispanic allowed the Hispanic male and his wife to walk away without addressing them or calling the police about the incident which raised the question that reverse discrimination was occurring right before my eyes.
Under Florida Statute 825.120 the police should have been called which they were not and a report should have been filed accordingly pertaining specifically to aggravated abuse to a victim 60 years or older in which I am 62 years old. The Hispanic male and his wife were in their 40"s.
Ted Bell the regional manager of BJ's wholesale club has his office in the Merritt Island Florida store and he previously totally agreed that the situation was mishandled by Beverly DeSantis. I sent him a 7 page letter of what I referred to in the header of the letter sent being a summary incident. NOW IT EVEN GETS BETTER.
Even with the omission of guilt in the way the incident was handled by their management we received a letter today from BJ's legal department terminating our membership as they worded in in the letter sent to us “You have made statements and actions perceived as threatening to BJ's Club Members.
BJ's Wholesale Club is obviously being operated by racist individuals that do not respect senior citizens and does not follow the laws of Florida and accuse people of things that they know are not true as what was put in the termination of membership letter that they sent me and I received today.
It is funny that Mr. Bell admitted that the situation was handled wrong and wanted to make things right with me and my wife prior to receiving my 7 page letter of the incident that was accurate and through and was almost to the tee of what we discussed by phone as I mentioned in an above paragraph.
This company is not to be trusted.
As of today 12/10/2019 they have now sent me a No Trespassing Notice.
This company knows that they are wrong and that Reverse Discrimination occurs and are trying to bury their tracks. They have also refused to provide a copy of the video surveillance tape that I have requested.
Ted Bell and Beverly DeSantis are both unethical individuals.

No One IN Charge

"I was in this store Friday November 4th 2019 ( Mechanicsville VA ) , went to customer service C. Davis was the customer service agent , this “lady” if you want to call her that , made a simple issue complicated , I asked for a manager 5 times before one came , I used an explicit word that just about everyone has used in this type of situation , it was NOT directed at her her but their “policy” after getting a low end manager and her stating I was cussing her in front a line of customers over the loud speaker , Ms. Davis was assisting other customers , stopped what she was doing brought me her name while the manager was resolving the situation ,she continued to argue with me ( still with customers in her line ) while the manager was assisting me , then began to stare at me behind the managers back , I asked did she want a picture , she still argued with me AND the manager , this type of service was totally unprofessional since the manager was assisting me with the situation , I get outside to contact BJ’s customer service , and am directed to another Country where two people had not a clue as to what I was calling about , this is not the first time this “lady” has been rude , I’m assuming she has something on management , and that’s why they keep her , I was always told the customer is right , not true all of the time , BUT when a customer asks for a manager for the first time Ms. Davis should have called one , but yet argued with me I will NEVER go back into this store and when it comes time to renew , Ill use Costco , BJ’s needs to get this dog on a leash , AND train her what her real job is , I believe its “customer service” "

No Staff at checkouts

"For the 5th time I was shopping at BJ and they had only one cashier working. The line was 10 people deep and the head cashier wonder off on a leisurely stroll to find out something for the one person holding up the line. I complained to customer service about the lack of help and they told me they had been trying for months to convince the manager to put on more staff and he refused to do it. So I cancelled my auto renewal of my membership and walked out"

Never shop using bjs.com online

"On July 24, 2019 I purchased a trampoline for my son's group home. I paid for two day shipping. It didn't arrive on July 26th and called the next day. I spoke with a "supervisor" and was informed, on July 27th, that the trampoline was out of stock but would be restocked that day. I was told to check in later that day to confirm that my order was "processed". She sent me an email which I was to use to let her know if there was a problem. At the end of the day, there was no change in the status and the email I sent to this supervisor did not get a response. I called On July 29th asking whether there was a trampoline in stock at this time so they could Process my order. I was told there were and that, again, the order should be processed. Around 3 pm a person called me to tell me order had been filled and that I would be receiving free shipping. I went online to check and found my order had been cancelled. THIS is unacceptable customer treatment. I will never use BJs.com online again. There should be consequences for treating a customer this poorly. "

Delivery from On-line .com warehouse delivery not acceptable.

"I was so upset when I saw how my T.V. was delivered to me.I was not home so the delivery person left it on the front porch.What was upsetting was it was not in a mailing box so you could see the T.V.from the street in the original box .If a thief came by they could have very easily taken it off my porch and I would have never known it was delivered.It makes you wonder if anything inside has been damaged because of the way it was shipped from the warehouse.I will not order again online at B.J.'s .com if that is the way they do their shipping.Very unprofessional."

Order screw up from BJ’s.com

"Ordered from BJ’s.com and was guaranteed a specific delivery date. My order was lost by the distributor apparently from a “clinch in the system”. I called customer service and had to deal with the automated service 4 times which meant I had to go thru all the prompts every time and enter my customer ID four times and then when I finally got to speak to an actual person, she asked for the same information AGAIN. Customer service for the .com was very poor and they blamed the error on the distributor. The people answering questions (after all the automated crap) were hard to understand because of thick accents. I got absolutely no satisfaction from these people and finally was told I could get a refund. Do not order ANYTHING from the website and if you do don’t expect them to follow thru on delivery dates, delivery statuses, customer service help over the phone, etc. Needless to say I’ve been a loyal customer at the local store for 15 years but Costco is building a new store in town and I will definitely be taking my business to them after this experience."

VERY DISAPPOINTED

"I've been a member for 2 years at the Amherst new York location. Over the past year it has gone down hill! First off the parking is always horrible! I have to park so far away and walk with 2 small toddlers through a VERY busy parking lot! Carts are usually filled with garbage. Not just coupon books but food, used tissues and so on! The bakery department ???? A JOKE! VERY RUDE WORKERS! The check out ??? Is so filthy that my coupons won't scan. The glass covering is coated in filth! And with how busy this place is on a daily basis they really need to have more than 2 locations ! I started coming here as my go to grocery store because I got so fed up with all of the Wal-Mart's and now this store is turning into the same thing....filthy, inconvenient and rude service! Get it together BJ's!!!"

Order screw up

"I ordered online at BJ during their Black Friday sale. Two boxes were to arrive. One did not and the other had an item I did not order. 5 days later I still cannot get anyone at BJ to fix this. The store people are nice but the distribution center has no idea what they are doing and apparently do not care. Each time I called I was on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes that is how antiquated this company is. Each time I called I was told this would be taken care of. Still it is not. Do not order online at least during the Christmas Season."

Terrible experience

"I don’t get the coupons crap. You have to wait in line to get the booklet and on top of that there is a line for that imagine to pay. There is like one cashier and 4 self paid machines. The items sold here can be found at Walmart for the same price. No purpose to buy a club membership card "

BJs has Terrible service

"The rudeness of the staff extends from the door to the check out to the management. I won’t be renewing my membership I have emailed customer service multiple times about the issues I have had with discrimination and out right rudeness of this location, all have been unanswered. It is a shame that this location is tarnished by the poor quality of people that work here and that it was not turned into a Costco or Sam’s Club instead as BJ’s has dropped quality seriously in past years. Don’t go out of your way to go to this location, and I fear that every BJ’s is following this model of disrespect and lack of customer service in any way. "
