"Ordering was like any other on-line process to me. The products, Windows XP home software and a dvd/cd rom, were shipped quickly and arrived on time and they both work. But I haven’t put the dvd/cd rom through the wringer yet. My friend has used AUGUSTUS TECH in the past and I will use them again. They did what I expected."

"I ordered a 256 mb stick over a year ago. I still have yet to receive one that works. When I got the RAM originally, it constantly caused crashes in programs and of Windows. I sent it back, and they told me it tested fine, and that perhaps my system wasn't compatibile with ultra-high density RAM. They sent me another to try again. That one had a piece break off when I pulled it out of the package. I e-mailed them about it, and they told me that they could send me another ultra-high density stick, or a generic stick. I checked all my motherboard manuals and website information and found nothing about it, and sent an e-mail back asking them to send the generic RAM when I returned the broken stick. I waited for a response, and eventually forgot about it until 6 months later I remembered the stick sitting in a static bag on top of my desk. I sent out a new RMA and sent them the RAM. About a week later they sent me an e-mail saying the RAM tested fine. With a piece broken off. Personally, to me, that really says poor customer service. I sent them a piece of hardware that was physically BROKEN and wouldn't even allow 2 seperate computers to boot up, and they tried to tell me it tested fine. In poor English even. Here is the actual text of the e-mail they sent me: "RMA Department.. Recevice 1pc stick of memory 256MB AUG 16/chips. 32x4 Ultra Density Module.
We test on Via KT chipset result is Good. Again. This Hight Density have to work with Via Chipset News Module K7 .
again what kinds of Motherboard do you using with this module.? Chipset Model? please contact us ASAP.." I sent them an e-mail back later on that day informing them that I had a VIA KT133A motherboard and that I doubted it tested fine since the RAM was physically damaged. I have yet to hear anything back, 3 weeks later. Today I sent another e-mail to customer service and tech support both detailing the entire story from beginning to end. Be wary when dealing with these people.

**UPDATE**
I've called them twice now, still nothing. Called them Wednesday and Friday and both days they claimed they'd call back "tomorrow". Saying the same things I've seen them say to other people on here. What the hell could they possibly be doing with my RAM?? They claim the support guy (They only have one support person?) is gone and that they can't find the info on my RMA. I think I'll get my lawyer to call them Monday.

"I ordered a stick of generic ddr2100 512mb from them. It came packaged ok, with a reasonable ship time for cross country. Problem is, its DOA. I e-mailed thier tech support ( non-existant) with no replies. I then began e-mailing them daily for a week. Then I tried the phone. I talked to "Henry", who said tech support was sick.Is there only one guy who does tech-support?? And for that long?? I told him the memory was coming back, along with all my documentation, and a letter explaining the situation. He said "tech-support will probably be here by the time it takes to get here.". I hope so! I am awaiting a resolution on this, but reading the ratings here does'nt give me much hope.******* Well, after waiting about a month, I called cross country to them to see what the deal was(if I did'nt call WHO KNOWS how long they would have dragged this out). The guy I talked to was very helpful, and sent out new memory. I'm all set now, but the wait time has made me decide never to order from them again. "

"Shipped wrong item, After confirmed via phone conversation.
Wants 15% restock fee even though it was their error. After speaking on phone to CSR and agree to exchange in which I would pay higher price to get correct item and was told no Restock fee... I get a Email that states 15% restock fee. Call back and get a TOO BAD we already have your money. Avoid at all costs..Slow service, rude CSR's.

"Overall, I had no problems with what I ordered from this company. I ordered one PC133 SDRAM 512MB memory module,(the cheap stuff) and 4 32MB SIMMS from them. Both were sent the day after I ordered them(next day) and arrived in one week. They were both packaged very well, and both operate just fine. One thing to be aware of, if you are ordering memory make sure your system is compatible. The memory worked fine in my machine, I have IWill KK266R motherboard. But there are a lot of motherboards, especially intels, that this memory will not work for. Overall a good experience."

"I ordered a stick of Kingston PC133 512MB ValueRam on Wednesday night. It shipped the next morning via free UPS and I also received a tracking number. The RAM arrived today and it works great. The price is pretty fair. The RAM was packaged VERY well, unlike PCBoost, which just shipped the RAM in a cheap padded envelope. Overall, the order went smoothly, and I would probably do business with Augustus Tech again."

"I suspect fraud... I ordered a PC133 DIMM, and was sent a PC100 DIMM. Of course they contest this, but it is factually impossible for the product they sent to be PC133 (can be proven) but they still insist that it's PC133 memory. They claimed that my (half dozen) systems, which are on their "compatible" list, aren't compatible. They tell me they tested it (before it was sent and after it was returned at MY expense) and it works fine, then they tell me it is defective and that they returned it to the manufacturer, then they tell the credit card company that they sent the correct memory and it worked fine. They seem to pull every trick in the book, from telling you "they can't help" when you call and FINALLY someone answers, to "call back later". They refused to take an RMA over the phone, telling me to submit an RMA request via their website. Their website hasn't worked properly to accept RMA requests for several months (or more), just returns an error message. Then they can claim you didn't submit your request for RMA within their allotted time period, that they are entitled to charge additional fees. They sent a replacement part, and it also wasn't what was ordered, and I bet they think I'm going to pay to return ship it to them or pretend that I don't mind being screwed. This is some kind of joke, right? Unfortunately no, it's no joke, but it may be even worse... Multiple other fraudulent charges from companies I'd never heard of, started appearing on my credit card only after ordering from Augustus Tech. Without question this is THE WORST company I've ever dealt with, even heard of... I'd have been better off if they had just taken the money and disappeared with it! "

"I purchased 2 256Mb SDRAM modules from Augustus. When I recieved them one of the two didn't work. I got online and went throught thier RMA process and returned the module. After five weeks with nothing from them I called them. They told me there would be a 15% restocking fee since they "tested all equipment before shipping". This didn't bother me too much. But after another almost two weeks the credit came through to my credit card and it was only for part of the purchase price even after the restocking fee. What they did was use thier current price of $19 to figure my refund. When I purchased the memory I paid $34 for each mod. It says clearly on thier return policy (and I qoute) refund on "INVOICED VALUE OF MERCHANDISE"

I will never deal with this company again, no matter what thier prices. I will also tell everyone I knew, not to do business with Augustus Tech.

"Ordered a CPU and 1GB of memory from them. Both 512mb dims came with errors on them. I haven't yet talked with Augustech about these issues so I can't say how that will be.


-- They did refund my money for the damaged RAM but it was a very difficult process. I won't use them ever again.
