HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

"We purchased a couch on June 18, 2020 which was supposed to be delivered around August 26, 2020. Ashley Furniture does a poor job updating their customers on the product status, so I decided to call. Come to find out that the couch won't be manufactured until October of 2020. That's beyond ridiculous. At that point, let your customers know they won't be getting there product until five months after ordering. Instead, they'd rather keep your money and sit in silence.

Furthermore, I contact this store and others in the Chicagoland region to get some answers. No one picks up the phone, even after leaving multiple voicemails over that past week. Terrible customer service and experience.

We now have to pack our child up and drive out to a store to cancel this order. I recommend shopping elsewhere, Ashley Homestore is a horrendous company.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

"We bought a table at Ashley in Aug/2019.
After a few days, we had an issue, where the table presented 2 small peeled circles in the finishing, over the top.
As we had the Protection Plan, we call them, and 1 week later it's been "solved".
We were caught by surprise when saw that pealed area, and the technician told us that the table's finishing was not that resistant and recommended us to put a glass over the table to protect it.

After a few days after the repair, the problem happened again, because - of course - the solution was to paint the peeled areas.
We contacted the Protection Plan again, and at this time they claimed it's a manufacturer issue!! The same issue now is being considered differently?!

Finally, we tried to reach out to the Ashley Store Customer Service, as well as the unit in Long Beach/CA several times, to ask for a refund, or at least exchange for another product, but nothing.
After months, when we finally got a response, they said couldn't do anything else.

We are extremely cautious people, we do not have children, neither receive people at home, that's why our concern why the product has damaged so easily without barely using it.
Unfortunately, I'll never buy at this store anymore, high prices, medium quality, horrible customer support.

WTH!

"I will never buy from Ashleys again. Not only was my order delayed multiple times, but when they finallt brought my recliner the darn thing was broken. I have been paying the last couple of months for a broken chair because the people ashleys outsourced the issue to have been extremely slow in getting here to fix it. We had our next appt scheduled August 18th but now its been delayed to September 3rd. I haven't even gotten an apology! Never again Ashley's!"

"I ordered a couch on May 5th and didn’t receive until July 25th. Customer service is impossible to get in touch with. Went to the store the nice associate told us they have no ties with online. Online **** would not ever recommend. Go to store! "

Ridiculously horrible customer service

"I purchased a sofa on 5/24/2020. I was told I wouldn’t receive it until 7/7 which was fine. As of today, 7/24, I have the wedge that goes between two sofas of a sectional. I have had 3 scheduled deliveries. The first one was canceled due to a computer glitch the message said. It was supposed to be for one couch and the wedge. I assumed that is what would be in the second delivery. Nope..... just a wedge which I guess is something. OMG LOL. The third delivery Just didn’t come. Not even a message. 3 minutes after my window for delivery I received a text asking me to pick a day the following week. After using the online chat because it is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to get thru on the 800 number, I was told that it wasn’t on the truck. So waste of more time taken off from my job!!!!!

I don’t understand why this company is open for business when it CANNOT deliver what it is selling and has zero customer service. If I have one more missed delivery and have to waste my time off for no reason, you can come and get this wedge. You can rest assured that I WILL NOT ever shop here again.

My sales person gave me her cell number when I purchases the sofa. She told me that they really don’t know what is going on after the sale, nor will she even respond at this point.

Where do I begin?!

"Despite my reservations of going in store to shop during Covid, I went to Ashley's Furniture in Durham at New Hope Commons to look for a couch. Initially, because I was working with one of the managers directly, I just assumed the process would be easy. I got financed, paid my contract fees and left out of the door. 2 weeks later, my first payment was due which I paid, still with no furniture. I received a date for 2 or so weeks later for a delivery. The day before the delivery was due, a message was left in my voicemail that I would not be receiving my furniture the following day, but instead in August; an entire 2 months after ordering. All of this while still paying for furniture that I did not have.

I went to the store the next day to find out the problem and was told it was because a piece that I wanted was not currently available. So, to speed up the process, I had to remove one of the pieces from my order and buy it elsewhere. Really? Ok, so I did that which I was told would cause me to have to go through the financing process ALL OVER AGAIN. When I did that while still in the store, they asked for yet another payment to reprocess the paperwork. After I made such a fuss about that, they finally agreed to wave that fee and move payments out a bit further. The GM, whom I was speaking that day in store, said that he would contact me with the new date of delivery. Did I get that call? NOPE! I, eventually, received a text message with the date of arrival and time. Ok, fine.

Well, to no ones surprise at this point, the day before delivery was scheduled, I got a message that the time of delivery had changed. So now I am stuck in the house being anything but productive, waiting on furniture that was already past do. Around 5:46pm, I called to find out where the delivery was. Guess what! IT'S RUNNING LATE, AGAIN! The e.t.a? Pending because it changes every 15 minutes!

Having now spoken to several people, 2 being managers, and the only answer I ever got is it's out of our hands, I will never deal with Ashley's Furniture Store again. I wish there was a no stars option.

HORRIBLE Customer Service

"DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE! We bought a mattress and frame at the Ashley Furniture Store in Springdale, OH on July 7, 2020. Our salesman assured us that the mattress and frame would be delivered the following day on July 8, 2020. That evening, we took apart our bed and wrapped up our mattress and box spring so they could be picked up the next day. My husband took the day off work and the mattress and PART of the frame was delivered. My husband called the store and was assured the other part of the frame would be delivered on Thursday. My husband took off a second day from work on Thursday, July 9. No one called and nothing was delivered. He called the store and was again assured the rest of the frame would be delivered on Friday, July 10. He took a third day off work. They delivered the same part of the frame that they delivered on July 8. My husband called the store again and was assured they were doing everything they could to get the rest of the frame delivered asap. We then received an email from Josh Render on July 11 stating our frame wasn't loaded on to the truck, so we wouldn't be getting the frame until Tuesday, July 14. Meanwhile, keep in mind that we had been sleeping on an air mattress since July 8. They also forgot to deliver the mattress pad we paid for. We were told by our salesman that we would receive a $300 gift card. Of course, we have not received it. My husband had several conversations with Josh Render concerning getting a partial refund of our purchase because of the delays and the 4 unpaid days off my husband had to take from work. He offered $1,000.00. The corporate office said they can only offer $200 and we can't return the bed or frame. I wish I had seen all of the negative reviews before shopping there. I am in shock at the way this store does business! "

Damaged headboard

"We purchased the Raelyn bedroom suite. We got the headboard damaged on delivery. When contacting them they told us that this is how it comes from the manufacturer (is it not them?). We spent over $3,000 on this set. Buy your bedroom set somewhere else. Not worth it. Shady company and awful customer service.

We also spent over $5,000 in the last year at Ashley's. Never going to buy them again and never going to recommend them to anyone.

"Went there multiple times. Said to call costumer service but when we called them we were on hold for 20 minutes just for them to say they can’t do anything. Said they cant give us our money back but also won’t give us the furniture. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE THIS IS JUST PART OF WHAT HAPPENED!! "

"I ordered a bed (and a nightstand) online which it was one of the most expensive platform beds in Ashley furniture (SKU AFHS-1442279K). My order delivered on time, but the header part was broken. After several calls, Emails, and contacts with the unprofessional rude customer service, finally they arranged for the replacement delivery, so I got the replacement part after 2 months!!! BUT… the second delivery was worse than the first one, it shipped in an open box and was broken in several locations .
I am tired of contacting them again and again or waiting for another 2 months to receive the replacement part as there is no guarantee if it won’t be broken again!!!
It was the worst experience I have ever had, totally wasting money and time. I do not recommend Ashley furniture to anyone and I will never purchase anything from them again.

Don’t buy online waste of time and money!!!

"I ordered a dinning room set. Received the chairs a month after ordering online. Received the dinning table 2 1/2 months later and it was damaged. Called customer service several times and was sent to voicemail. I left several voicemails and I’m still waiting on a returned call. After constantly calling for a whole week I was able to speak with a customer service representative. He got all of my information and stated I would receive an email telling me what to do next. That was suppose to happen within 48 hours. I’m still waiting on that email and a return call. So I have chairs and a broken table. Never again I will definitely go somewhere else. This was my first time and last time being a customer."

Bad Customer Servie

"Don't purchase from Ashley Furniture, the furniture is not made well. Purchased a sectional, had it serviced twice, the cushions replaced and when I called to have service again for the same reason as before, Ashley Furniture could not help me because my warranty was 1 week over the warranty period. I asked if they would make an exception because it was the same issue and it happened during the Coronavirus pandemic and the answer was NO, So I emailed the corporate office twice and I am still waiting to hear back from them. Don't buy from Ashley Furniture!!"

Don’t buy from them

"I’ve had two orders both given dates to have the furniture by and both times I’m being called the night before to say it’s not coming. No warning. This time the girl gave me a date and then the next day I receive a text with another date twelve days out further than what she quoted!"

Can't return or exchange defective furniture

"Bought two chairs online. One broke within a week of receiving. Called their number twice, left message, no return. Tried online and their best suggestion is for me to find somewhere that is willing to take a damaged piece of furniture and a donation. Then show them the slip along with pictures of damage. REALLY. Your joking right."

"We received damaged furniture. We called the same day and sent them an email, followed their process only 3 months later, they did nothing about it, left us on the phone waiting for hours. They put us on hold and never return to the call. Who are those people? They need to be investigated. "
