Bad company

"Over two months ago I tried to order a six wheel deluxe folding shopping trolley and I finally managed to order one to be delivered to me but when we tried to put it together one of the Axel's was missing, I confirm customer service but they were not much help, then 72 hours later a higher manager called me, but he was no use either, and even though I explained that we have no transport or support nearby and no one can drive for medical reasons they insisted that I do click and collect, from a store very far away and difficult to get to, and found out this morning from a friend that the nearest and easiest stores near to me that everyone in our area can get to basically they have shut down Argos cribbs causeway, and Argos willow brook Bristol, without checking the area and there customers"

Appalling service and they are defrauding people during the COVID-19 crisis

"They sold me a medical item that had clearly been previously opened and returned, and was faulty. But they are not accepting returns, even for faulty items, until after lockdown - despite their legal obligations. They are not responding to messages, and cannot be reached on the phone or web-chat.

If they cannot deliver even basic customer services, then they should not be open during this time.

SELLING PRODUCTS THEY DO NOT HAVE IN STOCK, YET SAY THEY ARE!!

"On December 13th I ordered two sets of Xmas tree lights online. One was in stock, the other would supposedly 'be ready to collect on the 14th' at the Uxbridge store. I went to collect them on the 14th, to be told the second set 'had not arrived from the warehouse'. A manager who looked all of 15 years old called the said warehouse to be told that they would deliver it to the store the next day. I arrived back there a full 2 days later....STILL no lights. A second manager called the warehouse. They denied all knowledge and 'didn't know what happened', and what is more, they didn't even have the lights in stock there!! I was refunded. I then found the lights were available in the Harrow Argos store, again via their website. Again, I was told the lights were IN STOCK, I paid online for a Fast Track service, arrived to collect them and was informed that they HAD NONE IN STOCK. By this time I was furious, was fobbed off by yet another manager who hadn't a clue what happened and why the warehouse hadn't delivered it and again was told I had already been refunded.....not that Argos had even informed me of that fact BEFORE I travelled 20 minutes by train to reach Harrow from Uxbridge. Argos sell their customers products FRAUDULENTLY by claiming they are in stock - but they are supposedly coming from a central warehouse - and then take payment for it fully KNOWING they are not in stock at that store, or else giving PAID FOR FAST TRACK ITEMS away to customers that walk in off the street that day. THAT IS THEFT. I will never buy from these incompetent fraudsters again.

What no cooker

"Ordered a cooker from argos never bother to tell me it was out of stock. Nobody bothered to call me. Over a week later called and was told might be in stock by end of next month. This was the 3rd of the month. Said I would like to order different cooker. Which I did. Expert logistics called to arrange delivery. I answered all there questions including telling them about parking restrictions. Delivery driver turned up to install and said cant deliver here as cannot park. Although there was a open space less than 50m away. I wasted a day off work. called there customer service what a joke some guy called Micheal whom claimed to be a manager loved to shout at me down the phone. Will never use argos again."

"they sent a faulty laptop and did not refund for a long time. I talked to Toshiba and they said that that was the worst laptop they made. After a while they refunded but gave a card which i thought was crap because i don't want to waste money in that store again."

"Argos is totally useless, ordered 160 Power supply before Xmas, said out for delivery 22nd... didn't receive until 29th. Phoned Argos 3 times, and UK mail 11 times. every time was promised a call back... never happened. unless you can not find anywhere else on the planet still think very hard about if you want too use Argos. after i received email informing me of delivery, i rushed onto overclockers online and spent stupid money getting stuff sent 1 day so i could build a PC as a gift. Never have i been so embarrassed as giving someone a non working PC for xmas for terrible! feel ashamed of your selves! still today 1st of jan 2015 no phone call!"

"Argos advertise a ‘Wacom medium Intuos tablet (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1715411.htm ). I bought it at their Lewes store but found it was just the small size so returned it without opening it or leaving the store. They said it was refunded on the Argos card I’d just opened. But the statement keeps showing it as if I’d bought it. Neither Argos cards, their customer service, the store or their twitter help have actually helped – for 3 months. And the web info is still wrong! "

"I will never use Argos again. Paid for a saturday delivery between 7am-3pm. At 12.30pm I rang Argos just for confirmation of delivery - was told yes, by 3pm. 3pm came and went, phoned Argos again - got apologies and told by 6pm. 6pm came and went, phoned argo again - told up to 9pm (on a saturday!!!!) 9pm came and went - no delivery. Rang on sunday morning - driver claimed he could not find address - I live on a famous high street in London -whats not to find? and even if that was the case, they had my mobile, each time I had phoned Argos someone could have phoned the driver to find out the problem - no one did. I cancelled my order and will NEVER EVER use Argos again - poor staff, poor staff control, poor overseeing and poor result. I'm sticking with John Lewis - so much better!"

"I was very shocked at the extremely poor and unprofessional service we received at Argos. After ordering a small sofa on 3rd Jan this year I heard nothing for over 28 days. After ringing to find the whereabouts of the product, I was told it would be another month. Later that day I received an automated phone call saying the same thing!
After waiting until the second delivery deadline, I was left to ring again and was told the product would be another 20+ days. After being left without my money and a sofa for two months the staff at Argos showed no empathy and did not admit any responsibility by blaming everything on their suppliers!
Yet another large company, operating for profit without care for the customer.

"We bought a new fridge Hotpoint freezer in their January Sale. It was well priced and they contacted us to arrange delivery and turned up when they said they would. Overall I was impressed with them. One improvement would be narrowing down the delivery window which was 3 hours."
