"Spent hours trying to upload documents to Tansania website with no success. The APVI website was easy to navigate; documents easily uploaded and the process was quick and simplified. The only concern was the first two customer service people I spoke with on the phone after submitting the application. They did not provide very good information and I felt a little uneasy until I received a very reassuring call from Gessica later in the afternoon. Gessica explained the process and gave me the timeline for completion. The Visas arrived the morning of the date promised.

"If you are reading this, you already know the panic that sets in when you realize your password is expired and the clock is ticking. I had 3 days before a major trip that I had been planning for over a year. Moron that I am, I didn't think to check my passport until I went to get it out of the safe deposit box. (Insert an off-the-charts rise in blood pressure here!) I began an immediate search for local options to expedite, but nothing in my state. The drive to the closest regional office would have been an all day event, so I then spotted several of these expediting service companies out there online. Are they legit? Who do you choose? I found some that were recommended by US News and here's my first recommendation -- call any of them first! Make sure they are open. Make sure they are not backlogged. Because the first thing I got after calling the first 2 companies on my list were recorded messages that they were closed until further notice due to Hurricane Dorian. (Insert an even higher blood pressure burst along with some hyperventilating.) I called APVI and got a very calming rep on the phone. She talked me off the ledge on how the process works. I decided to go for it. Not wanting to screw up, I called back and got a few other reps to answer my questions. Again, very calming and patient people were quickly on hand to ease my nerves. No phone tree of stress to go through. APVI has to review your stuff at a couple different points during the process and they were on it within 2 minutes. Once I dashed to FedEx and officially mailed it all off, all I could do was wait and hope. APVI sent several encouraging emails like -- Hey we got your package and are going to process it at the passport office today. Or...Hey the processing was successful, we're shipping it overnight tonight! Excellent customer service and status feedback along the way. I received my passport 1 day earlier than expected and breathed a huge sigh of relief. THANK YOU APVI!!! Expensive, but worth every cent when you're in a bind. "
