"Very happy with this. I started with a square flat antenna. It did a great job getting all the UHF channels. Two major broadcast channels in my area are VHF low. My research indicated that this would work. I installed in my attic first. Got 70% signal strength on one channel, but only 50% on the other. For comparison, the flat antenna gave me 40% and 0% on those channels. The 50% channel was not reliable though, so I decided to move the antenna outside. Mounted it outside of a window, about 18 feet off the ground and aimed it towards the lesser signal. Got 100% signal and 75% signal - so a 25% improvement mounting it outside vs in the attic. Strangely, the UHF is not as strong as flat antenna. I actually get more channels on that one than this one."
"I'm impressed that this antenna performs as well as the one it replaced which was twice as long and wide. The support mast is terrific. It allows the antenna to be positioned correctly on any angle surface, has a very broad mount that provides a solid mount, without guy wires, and makes it easy to adjust the antenna when finding the best signal."
"All of my stations in Charlotte, NC are 28 miles or closer, and four are cluster together at 27-28 miles to the northwest of my house (CBS, NBC, FOX, MyTV). I pointed this fairly directional antenna at the four farthest stations and it picks them up flawlessly. I had to tilt the antenna up slightly to provide more surface area for the four closer stations that are 6-7 miles to the northeast of my house (ABC, PBS, CW, IND), as their signals would hit the antenna from the side. This tilted setup provided enough surface area to pick up these northeast stations very well. "
"Tried several and this one just works great. I quit cable earlier this month and went to internet only. I tried the basic flat indoor type and the "bell" shaped indoor/outdoor type and results were NOT good for me. If I wasn't going to get all the major networks than I'm not really interested in using an antenna at all. The RCA antenna is legit. No frills, ugly, but it does what you need it to do and if you can mount it in your attic it doesn't matter what it looks like."
" My antenna is mounted only 15 feet off the ground and there is a wall of huge trees on one side that is fortunately about opposite of my aiming point. I feed 2 TVs and one TiVo with a 3-way splitter and see no noticeable loss of quality from this split. I highly recommend this small antenna."
"I can't even begin to say how happy I am with this antenna. I live on an island in the middle of Narragansett Bay. The closet TV stations are north of us in Providence, 35 miles away. Before we bought the antenna, we scanned our address using antennaweb.org, and found at best, we might get 18-20 channels, and nothing north of Providence."
" I decided to purchase this antenna and without adding anything extra I was able to find 34 digital channels. I decided to remove the RCA Pre-amp and ended up with 48 Digital and 2 Analog channels. "I have this antenna mounted in the attic of my single story home, which is about 23 miles from the broadcasting station. I was able to pick up pretty much all the stations listed on tvfool's website, and then some (which are useless to me anyway). The choice of installing the antenna in the attic vs. the roof caused some loss of signal leading to couple channels to freeze and pixelate often."
"Obviously each users' mileage may vary depending on their location and that of their local towers, but this has been great for me, and kept me from having to purchase the hdstacker or mount in the attic (which oddly enough would actually be higher than where this is currently mounted outdoors). if you need both UHF and VHF reception, don't hesitate to try out this antenna!"
" This antenna is amazing. Located in Central NJ. I tried one of the cheaper flat antenna that look like a mouse pad and got no signals. With this, just testing it, with it lying on our coffee table I got 20+ channels including nbc and cbs. That sealed the deal and so I mounted it on the roof. We now get 50 channels! NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, WPIX, WWOR, PBS, etc. It's so funny to go back to antennas, like when I was a kid but the picture is so clear and it's free! Now I can watch football, events, specials, news, etc. We still have the internet with Netflix, Prime, Youtube, but it's so much more flexible now. No more cable box, rental fees, packages, or ever growing bill."
"Sick and tired of paying Time Warner Cable for overpriced and inferior service. And that fact they are scrambling FREE TV stations is truly sad. They are taking advantage of people. We tried the TWC adapters which would freeze the picture for a couple seconds every time you changed the channel besides the inconvenience of having to use the adapter remote. All ridiculous. For the price of TWO months service, we bought this antenna and connected it via a booster to 5 TV sets. We get broadcasts from 100 miles away. 100! And it is just lying in the attic floor because we just got it and wanted to try it out. At that rate, I might just leave it laying on the floor. We connected it through the cable wiring in the house. The booster is because we are feeding 5 TV's, one of which is a couple hundred feet away in my workshop. The booster only helps pass the signal to so many TV's it has nothing to do with what the antenna picks up. I HIGHLY recommend this. We have since mounted in the attic, we get 44 free stations with GREAT picture."
"I live about 30 miles NE of the Twin Cities but over the border in Wisconsin. I knew I shouldn't have issues with those stations but I wanted to pick up the station that carries the Packers out of Eau Claire (~43 miles as the crow flies and was a really weak station). Installation on the roof was super simple but with the angle of the roof, the antenna is not completely horizontal. I got good results (29+ stations) with first install but didn't get the Eau Claire station."

"Believe the reviews, this antenna is excellent. I’ve tried all the allegedly high rated flat leaf style antennas (a lot of suspect reviews there!) but this is the real thing. I connected this antenna to my TV and just laid it on a laundry basket. I aimed it in the general direction of Philadelphia (80 miles away) and picked up 18 channels on the first try. I haven’t even fine tuned the azimuth or tried adding a preamplifier. Once I mount it outside and add a preamp who knows what it could pull in. This is an am excellent buy.
