"Our experience began back in June 4th. 2014 when we ordered a New Dometic LW3000P.BLK 2600 Watt Inverter Generator at a price of $701.93. We received it within a few days, no problem. We opened the box, read the directions, added the appropriate gas and oil. It immediately, while filling the tanks started leaking gas and oil. NEVER WAS STARTED! We then called Customer Relations at American RV Company. We felt uncomfortable keeping this with safety concerns so we requested a refund. They informed us that since there is now gas and oil in it that it is considered used and can not be returned and only repaired. So we agreed to have it repaired. They contacted the nearest service dealer which is 40 miles away from our home. It took about 2 weeks for the dealer to even look at it. They finally determined that is was un-repairable and not worth the cost of the generator to be repaired. Now this dealer wants $125.00 for running the diagnostic, still another charge to us! The only way we could receive a refund is to have another generator sent to us according to Customer Relations. No refunds, Nothing! Total out of pocket so far. $941.73."
