"I dont normally take the time to write reviews but I felt I needed to share my experience due to the fact that this product can be costly. So, I am sure that we all read the symptoms that it treats on the box, went to the website and even looked at the product a little more indepth prior to purchasing. It claims to relieve symptoms of hot flashes/night sweats, mood swings, control weight gain, focus/concentration, low libido, low energy, stress/anxiety, and irritability. Hot flashes/night sweats went away day 1, which did help me to sleep somewhat better. However, it has NOT even touched ANY other symptom. And because it has not helped with stress, anxiety, and mood swings (which ALL affect insulin sensitivity and cortisol levels in relation to weight management); I have actually gained weight (6lbs) while taking this. I have all of my parts therefore do not qualify or need HRT. Upon doing a little more research on the actual ingredients of this product, I found that they are NOT all natural. The ingredients are actually a combination of chemicals. Feel free to research each one for yourself. But I do not recommend this product. I gave it 3 stars ONLY bc of the hot flashes/night sweats relief. "
"I started getting foggy-brained during peri-menopause. So, I started taking Amberen. This was several years ago (at least 8-9 years). It helps your mind stay sharper and helps you feel like yourself. But about 6 months ago, I decided it was too expensive and there are so many other products out there. So I decided to try something else.
Because I started taking it way before I started full blown Menopause, I had NO idea - I was in for a huge surprise. Up 'til then, hot flashes for me were "Oh my gosh, it's so hot in here. Is it hot, or is it me?" (in other words - annoying but completely bearable). I kept wondering why everyone made such a big deal about hot flashes. Once I stopped taking Amberen, I had my very first 'real' hot flash. I thought I was going to die. I had No Idea how much Amberen really was working without me really even realizing it. (oh - and the foggy brain came back with a vengance)
I won't make that mistake again! I went back to Amberen and my hot flashes are fewer, and are back to "It's hot in here" and I no longer feel like I might die. I don't have any plans to quit again. Ever...
I do want to say - it takes a few months to really kick in. It will help a little, but it takes time to really make a huge difference. So Don't Give Up! It will happen, give it at least 4 months, you really feel the difference. "

"When I first started taking Amberen the bloating I felt daily went away almost immediately. The hot flashes decreased gradually to none. My mood swings are stable. No night sweats either. I do sleep a little better then before. I still dont have any energy. Its helped with mental clarity also. "I've been taking Amberen now for 38 days. I started noticing a reduction in symptoms after two weeks. I went from having 4 hotflashes an hour and terribly interrupted sleep. Then every hour or so and a decrease in interrupted sleep. Success! Now here I am 38 days later. No hotflashes, fatigue, night sweats, no interrupted sleep, mood has improved and have even been able to shed a few pounds. I'm not one to leave reviews but I would recommend this to anyone suffering from a plague of menopause symptoms. Just keep in mind it does take time to build up in your system and read the ingredients making sure this product is right for you. So don't sell yourself short by giving up to soon. "I'd been hearing about Amberen for years, but for some reason, never tried it. After lackluster results from other OTC products (used off and on for about 17 years) , I was at my wit's end with multiple symptoms. My quality life was not at its best. I went ahead and purchased Amberen. What the heck, right? The information insert stated it could take up to a few months to see maximum results (I'm paraphrasing here), but I noticed results in 2 days. It was like night and day. I'm back to my "self" again. I've just finished my second month of product and have yet to have another day or night time hot flash. Yay! Looking forward to many years of great results! "I have been miserable with hot flashes for the last 2 years, every, single, day. I took a chance on this product, it's a little pricey for me. I typically have a hot flash an hour, to the point of sweating. Day one was yesterday, I had 3. Today is day 2, I have not had one yet today. The air around me feels so much cooler as well.
