"Great store that usually have the best prices.
Getting a delivery to Denmark usually only takes 5-7 days using their cheapest delivery option.
If you fail to pick up the package it will be sent back and your money will be returned without having to contact them.

"Not impressed. I have bought stuff off amazon before with no problems but this time I ordered some race car hose insulation (heat protector). It should have come in 2-3 days. It never turned up. 2 weeks later when i was desperate for it I logged into my account to see amazon had cancelled the order and not even told me??? (cancelled after 10 days due to no stock).
They are a classic example of a company that is too big to be effective or efficient.

"I have never been so disgusted with any Amazon until I dealt with Amazon UK. Now, while I don't hold them accountable for the fact the shipper lost the package. I do hold them accountable for not even reaching out to the shipper to confirm if the package was lost or not. In fact I was the one who reached out, and found out it was indeed lost. However, even after I found out the package was lost directly from the shipper, and told several reps this. I got some canned answer that they will contact the shipper to have it delivered. It's pretty hard to deliver something that was lost, and I had to go through several reps just to get a refund for the lost package! "

"after writing a bad review for another company I also feel I should really put it out there when someone does a good thing.

I ordered a batch of 3 grey ink for a printer. The order went through and I waited for a Saturday delivery.

Amazon sent out one of the ink cartridges with an apology that the rest of the order could not be fulfilled due to stocking. 3 days later I received a £4 refund from the £7 payed for a Saturday premium. The rest of the order came 10 days later.

This showed who ever controlled the order used a bit of intelligence.

Firstly they sent one cartridge which carried me over till new stock arrived.

Second: they refunded part of the Saturday premium payment, something I would not have expected.

Then they payed for an extra delivery for the remainder of the order. Yes obvious, but others would have just delayed the whole order to save costs.

adversely the company I wrote the bad review against, had a similar issue with me also. This was not the reason I wrote the bad review. but another issue I did not see fit to mention at the time.

This other company accepted an order for a 4k screen and a headset. The headset was listed as not being available for another 2 months. I accepted this as I was not in a hurry for a new headset. I received the courtsey email to state what I already knew. But what was not mentioned was that the whole order would be delayed until they would fulfill the order in full. A fact I only found out when I asked why I had waited in for a full day with nothing being delivered.
I cancelled the order, which lost the company a £500 sale. And then ordered elsewhere where it cost me £30 more, but I received it the next week.

This shows the total contrast between two suppliers, and the effects of the actions.

"I wanted a powerful bayonet LED lamp for my loft and I didn't want to pay the earth.

Amazon came up trumps and my lamp was delivered very quickly.

Now every time I go into the loft I'm amazed by how bright it is.

"On April 3rd, 2014, Amazon cancelled the option of Free Super Saver Delivery for all international customers. Instead, very high shipping costs are now applied to all orders for most countries. By sending out an email one day after this change to its customers (many of them loyal customers for a long time) and failing to give any explanation or reasonable alternative, Amazon lost the trust of thousands of customers. There would have been many better ways to handle this situation.

Alternatives that some of the international customers proposed include:
1. Increasing the minimal order amount to qualify for free delivery.
2. A fixed delivery fee instead of a weight-based plus fixed fee.
3. Offer free delivery to customers who have spent a certain amount in the last twelve months.
4. Introduction of an international prime membership scheme.

Amazon EU S.a.r.l. is a European company with individual websites in several European countries and warehouses all over Europe. In 2014, borders within the EU should not lead to an explosion of shipping costs, otherwise a free trade and customs union exists only on paper. Amazon was on a good way to establish real European competition, but has unfortunately turned around 180 degree.
This does not affect you as a British customer? Think twice, the trend is clear. The minimal order amount was already raised for you as well.

"Placed an order for a fancy new expensive video camera using Picsio in the Marketplace on Sunday. "Great service, great delivery.

I live in a high price-level EU country (non-UK address), so everything is quite cheap especially with the Europe-wide delivery and a large range of goods.

Prices are edging up though, but that's probably to do with EU-wide free super saver delivery. Amazing offers time to time and with returns they automatically reimburse you only a fraction of what it costs to return the items even if it is their fault. In these cases you have to complain and you will get your money back, so point deduction here.

But in overall satisfaction is still A(-)!
