"I had Amazon Prime for 5 years. When the price went up, I thought all the extras (not FREE as Amazon customer service calls it) might be worth it. We started to watch a series on Amazon Prime; the series had 3 seasons. The first 2 were great. When we got to the 3rd season - now we had to PAY $2.99 for each of 10 episodes. I called "customer service"; the rep gave me an amazing run around talking like a politician i.e., never answering my question of why I now had to pay for season 3. The supervisor was even better; his command of the English language was exceptional for a grade 5 student. This tells me the caliber of customer service reps at Amazon.
I cancelled my prime on the spot; a matter of principal or "bait and pay". I did put up with shipping being 3-4 days at times but this type of action and the attitude of the reps has turned me off forever.
